My Sunday morning
Sunday, 26 November 2006, 5:37pm
I woke up around eight in the morning. I spend my day doing my laundry, cleaning my room and the bathroom. I had chicken rice for my lunch. (This is because I saw the entry on Jolene's blog yesterday about chicken rice. It was so tempting. So I decided to have it for lunch for today.) I do not have any idea what's for dinner. I'll think about it later. It's raining outside. But not heavily. Almost stop now. Wonder if it'll rain again at night. I prefer it to rain at night.

Enjoy your life

Enjoy your life; do not compare it to others – Kang Dao Sai

~~~ A fisher who does not catch big fish ~~~
There’s a person fishing by the riverside, the person caught a lot of fish,
But with every fish the person caught, he uses a ruler to measure it.
Whenever he caught a fish that is bigger than the ruler, the person releases the fish back to the river.
Other fisher that are confuse asks: “Other people wishes to catch a big fish, but why are you releasing those big fish that you caught?”
This person replies: “Because the pot at home is the width of this ruler, the fish that are bigger do not fit.”
If what you have is sufficient, do not greed, this is also a good practice.
Whenever a woman lies
Friday, 24 November 2006, 11:30pm
One day, when a seamstress was sewing while sitting close to a river, her thimble fell into the river. When she cried out, the Lord appeared and asked, "My dear child, why are you crying?"
The seamstress replied that her thimble had fallen into the water and that she needed it to help her husband in making a living for their family. The Lord dipped His hand into the water and pulled up a golden thimble set with pearls.
"Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, "No." The Lord again dipped into the river. He held out a silver thimble ringed with sapphires. "Is this your thimble?" the Lord asked. Again, the seamstress replied, "No." The Lord reached down again and came up with a leather thimble. "Is this your thimble?", the Lord asked. The seamstress replied, "Yes." The Lord was pleased with the woman's honesty and gave her all three thimbles to keep, and the seamstress went home happy.
Some years later, the seamstress was walking with her husband along the riverbank, and her husband fell into the river and disappeared under the water. When she cried out, the Lord again appeared and asked her, "Why are you crying?" "Oh Lord, my husband has fallen into the river!" The Lord went down into the water and came up with George Clooney. "Is this your husband?" the Lord asked. "Yes," cried the seamstress. The Lord was furious. "You lied! That is an untruth!"
The seamstress replied, "Oh, forgive me, my Lord. It is a misunderstanding." "You see, if I had said 'no' to George Clooney, you would have come up with Brad Pitt. Then if I said 'no' to him, you would have come up with my husband. Had I then said 'yes,' you would have given me all three. Lord, I'm not in the best of health and would not be able to take care of all three husbands, so THAT'S why I said 'yes' to George Clooney."
And so the Lord let her keep him.
The moral of this story is: Whenever a woman lies, it's for a good and honorable reason, and in the best interest of others.
That's our story, and we're sticking to it.
Signed,
Women
PS: This is not written by me. I found it circulating in the e-mails.
This is a real dog. Rastafarian Dog. However, I haven't found any information on it yet. Do you think we can use it to mop the floor? Lol...
Silence
Silence?
The lack of sound...
The void of sound...
The absence of sound...
Can you endure it?
The serenity...
The tranquility...
The emptiness...
The uses of toothpaste
Tuesday, 21 November 2006, 8:56pm
Toothpaste is the ingredient we use together with a toothbrush, to brush our teeth. Have you ever thought that it can have other uses as well? While surfing on the net, I’ve found out other interesting uses for toothpaste.
  • Toothpaste works on pimples. Toothpaste dries the oil up and it's antibacterial also.
  • Toothpastes also work wonders on burns.
  • You can use toothpaste to clean a wedding ring too.
  • Toothpaste can be use to clean silver jewelry.
  • A little dab will fill in nail holes (small holes) on walls.
  • When hanging pictures put a little dab on the hanger on the back of the picture. Press it against the wall where the picture is going. The toothpaste shows up and then you know right where to put the nail.
  • Toothpaste is good for removing crayon markings from walls.
I’m not sure whether toothpaste really works on pimple. So try it at your own risk. Haha....
