Maroon 5 Concert March 22, 2005
Wednesday. 3.23.05 3:41 pm
Holy shit! I had so much fun at the Maroon 5 concert in Charlotte!

We originally had balcony seats in the arena that were kinda far away, but when the opening band started playing, we rushed towards the front. Edie heard a familiar voice from the band and then she was like "OMG, its THE DONNAS!!!" They were awesome! The guitar player was soo awesome. And during the switch to Maroon 5, we got to meet The Donnas! I shook Brett's hand and got all of their autographs.

And the concert! OMG! It was the first big concert i've ever been to and it was soooooooooo awesome. Adam Levine........ah...he was sooooo hooootttttttt! I sang with him the whole time. Live is soooo much better, didn't know it was possible. It was funny because a couple got drunk and was dancing really badly. They closed with "She will be loved" and i didn't want to leave!!! I'm still a bit def(sp?) now...hehe. I love Maroon 5!!!!

And...I drove 90-95mph in a 55mph and 45mph highway and got home in 2.3 hours instead of 4. Then i ran a red light on purpose. I'm a badass.

Etiquette
Sunday. 3.20.05 10:49 am
You know what really irks me? Guys who don't open/hold doors for the ladies. Especially southen gentlemen *cough, someone over in tx, cough* Alright, for here's a guide for all you men:

The Basics of Chivalry

Chivalry may be on life support, but it is not dead yet. Be one of the few to keep this flame burning for many years to come.

Always open doors
This is perhaps the most basic rule of male etiquette out there. It is also one of the easiest to follow so you have no reason to forget it. Whether she is about to enter your car, restaurant, club, or anyplace with a door, you should always hold it open. If there are many doors, then hold them open one after the other.

Put on her coat
Always help a lady put on her coat or overgarment. This is a simple but powerful action.

Help with her seat
If an unaccompanied lady is sitting next to you, it is important that you help her be seated by pulling her chair out for her and gently pushing it back into place, with the lady seated of course.

Give up your seat
If a lady arrives at the table and there are no available seats, you should stand up and offer yours to her.

Stand at attention
Always stand when a lady enters or exits the room. This rule has been somewhat relaxed, so you can stand upon entrance but remain seated upon exit. Nonetheless, if you can do both, you should.

Give her your arm
When escorting a lady (that you know) to and from social events, you should offer her your arm. This is a little more intimate, but serves well when walking on uneven ground -- especially if she's wearing high heels.

Ask if she needs anything
This is one that most guys already do, but helps complete the gentleman in all of us nevertheless. When at social events, make sure to ask the lady if you can get her something to drink (or eat, depending on the event). Show her that you care about her comfort and needs.

Gentlemen, if I may call you that, these are the rules of etiquette you should observe in everyday life. Elevate yourself above the rabble and display the mannerisms of a true gentleman. The world will appreciate such a rarity and your career will most definitely benefit from your good manners and savoir-faire.

Today's the last day of spring break (T_T)...

My Yokohama Paradas are arriving at the shop in a couple of days. I'm excited... they're my favorite tires. Grips like nothing else, great cornering and response. Treadware's really bad. Last time I got new ones, I told myself to go easy on the tires...its impossible. It was made to perform...can't go easy on them.

I finished FullMetalAlchemist, all 51 episodes in 3 days. I'm really sad now, don't have anything esle to watch. I didn't really understand the ending though. After listening to about 1200 minutes of japanese, I'm starting to pick it up, its similar to cantanese too.

I was really happy yesterday that he finally signed on after about a month. Its strange, i was really starting to question his existance and if last summer was just my imagination...yeah i'm crazy.

FMA & Akira
Sunday. 3.6.05 8:13 am
OMG!!! I just got a Fullmetal Alchemist boxset with all 51 episodes on ebay!!! I'm so excited. The first time i saw it i didn't like it because it was kinda depressing seeing someone missing some limbs and a boy turned into armor, but after watching it more on adult swim, i really started to get hooked. It such a good show!

Man, i just finished watching Akira, and it was a wierd ass movie. I don't quite understand everything, but i guess thats because they tried to sqeeze a rediculously long manga into a 2 hour movie. I was stunned by the animation though, its incredible for a 1988 movie, even better than many today. I'm still stunned and confused...post atomic war neo tokyo...wierd psychic kids with telekinetic powers...and the ending...what the heck was that? I don't know if i really like it, or hated it.

Better Together
Friday. 3.4.05 11:09 pm
There's no combination of words
I could put on the back of a postcard
No song I could sing
But I can try for your heart
Our dreams, and they are made out of real things
Like a, shoebox of photographs
With sepiatone loving
Love is the answer,
At least for most of the questions in my heart
Like why are we here? and where do we go?
And how come we're so hard?
It's not always easy and
Sometimes life can be deceiving
I'll tell you one thing its always better when we're together

MMM its always better when we're together
Look at the stars when we're together
Its always better when we're together
Yeah, its always better when we're together

And all of these moments
Just might find there way into my dreams tonight
But I know that theyll be gone
When the morning light sings
And brings new things
But tomorrow night you see
That theyll be gone too
Too many things I have to do
But if all of these dreams might find there way
Into my day to day scene
Ill be under the impression
I was somewhere in between
With only two
Just me and you
Not so many things we got to do
Or places we got to be
We'll Sit beneath the mango tree

Its always better when we're together
Somewhere in between together
Its always better when we're together
Yeah, its always better when we're together

I believe in memories
They look so, so pretty when I sleep
Hey now, and when I wake up,
You look so pretty sleeping next to me
But there is not enough time,
And there is no song I could sing
And there is no, combination of words I could say
But I will still tell you one thing
We're better together.
