Useful Things | oh and... Sunday. 2.10.08 11:58 pm I forgot the biggest new ever. Bill Clinton was at the school last week on Monday. I didn't go though because I had a bag and they didn't allow bags inside of the stadium. security and whatnot. So PCN (Pilipino Cultural Night) is coming up and it's pretty cool. The practices have been pretty fun. I'm really excited for hip hop and Igorot. The thing with hip hop is that I don't normally move like that, but the moves are pretty sweet. The thing is that when I "attempted" to pop my shoulder hurt. I'm just thinking I'm not used to it or I didn't stretch enough or something. I'm not sure. Igorot is just crazy but it's pretty fun. The costume for the guys consists of a bahag. Haha... it'll be interesting. I actually like all of the dances. So yeah....and I need to study in an hour. still need a car. Comment! (2) | Recommend! My Update on Life Wednesday. 2.6.08 12:24 am So Kuya will be finally visiting! Yea! I'm very happy because I feel terrible. You know he's my brother so I'm obviously going to be kind of worried about him going to Iraq on all. Yes he said that he knows a few people who have been there and are going back and "it wasn't that bad," but this whole situation still makes me feel uneasy. Anyway it's good he'll be visiting us here for a few days from the 13th to the 17th-ish. My dad said that we'll see (or to that extent) for getting a car for me. The reason why he's been waiting on it is not because he doesn't want to (ok so that might be a reason) but the bigger reason is because he's waiting on getting the business started. So my parents were planning on opening this home for the elderly. I don't really know how to describe it other than that. The thing is that it's been taking awhile for the state to approve it. Plus they have to make sure that the appropriate things are there and whatnot. So yeah... I just hope we can get this up and running. I need a car for many reasons... -Storage: I can bring my textbooks AND binders to school with painfully carrying everything with me all day. -Time: It'll take less time to go to school and come home. I won't have to wait for an hour. It takes about 10 minutes to go to school. It should take up to 10 more minutes t find a parking space if parking is really bad. The time I spend waiting for someone to pick me up at school (sometimes up to 45 minutes) can be used to do something more productive. I'm sorry but if I'm waiting to be picked up I can't concentrate on studying especially when I'm told that the person picking me up will be there to pick me up in 5 minutes when it takes the person 30 minutes and I'm waiting in the dark pacing back and forth humming whatever tune comes to mind. -The bus is Last Thursday it was late by 20 minutes. -Less guilt! I'll feel less guilty by asking people to pick me up...especially my dad or uncle when they have to pick me up at 11pm. -Independence...yeah I'll actually feel like I'm in college if I had a car, you know? Right now I feel like I'm a bum in thirteenth grade... that's how college is supposed to feel like but people usually have cars by now. And now I have headache. I'm on break until 10PM then it's studying for Bio Lab, Bio, and Math. Comment! (1) | Recommend! Avenue Jew Friday. 2.1.08 9:08 pm So I just found this little parody that you've all probably seen. I'm just late with finding these things. I want to see Avenue Q. Comment! (1) | Recommend! Awesome Entry Tuesday. 1.22.08 6:44 pm This morning I was debating whether or not to walk to school. Sure it's three miles, but they fly by when you're walking right next to the river. Seriously. So I decided not to take the bus today. Taking the bus would mean that I would have less rides available on the bus ride card thing that costs $10 for 10 rides. I guess I'm just trying to save my money. Plus why not walk? Hopefully I'll feel energized and not fatigued to concentrate. Oh and it's math, so you definitely need the concentration, right? "Listen to the rhythm of the falling rain. Telling me just what a fool I've been." This isn't so bad. It's not raining, it's drizzling. There's a difference. Rain has the pitter patter while the drizzling sound isn't so much. heh So in twenty minutes I finally arrive at the river. I'm walking. When I reach the elementary and high schools (or middle school?) you hear like three different sirens going off. The thing that comes to my mind is a fire and burglary due to a group of mad vigilante unicorns. Oh yes! It's possible I continue walking down the path and see this police car just going coming through. Now in order for you to understand what's happening, I guess I should explain the path in more detail (or as detailed as I can be). The sides of the river are covered by some land. Then there's this raised part that's been paved for joggers and bicyclists. The road is close to the river but it's separate by the elevated sidewalk. So this car drives on the elevated sidewalk. I walk off the sidewalk and continue walking on the slanted ground part. The police car stops and asks me if I saw anyone come out of the levee. I tell her I didn't. So this is when I learned that the police were going crazy because there was a car that fell into the water. Well, that wasn't the first time I witnessed something like that happened, but it definitely was the first time I saw it happen while it was drizzling. Oh and there's a new wound on my left ankle...area...place. It was bothering me so I had to buy some band aids. You won't get infected! There's no chem lab today. I was waiting for no reason. eh. And my dad just bothered me today. I knew he would do this. He was like Kilusan is distracting you from studying blah blah. Ok that's not true. I haven't really attended too many Kilusan events. I only went to Friendship Games, carolling, two unofficial events, and International Dinner. There were more events that I missed and most were near the end of the semester. The reason I didn't attend those events is because I new I had to study. I still did terrible, but hey, don't blame Kilusan. If anything Kilusan was like my break. I'd study (most of the time) then head over to Kilusan. And it's only like an hour and a half. eh and I don't even understand my parents anymore. They're like "Make friends, go out, blah" and then I do and tell thme about them and then they're all "That's the problem." To Parents: You're indecisive. I guess that's where my indecisiveness comes from. Oh and I love Katamari Damacy. I'm going to purchase We Love Katamari on Spring Break. That'll be my reward for staying sane. And Rest in Peace Heath Ledger. Very sad. Comment!
