You just won't believe...
That although it will probably be only a few cents, I am going to make money mentioning dog excrement in a blog! I spent just under 30 minutes with Mowgli outside for him to do his stuff. I had the plastic bag in my right coat pocket for when he was done. And what was worse than standing around outside in the cold while an indecisive puppy runs back and forth a couple hundred times before picking a random spot anyway to do his thing...are the upstairs neighbors with a bigger Lab that never, and I repeat NEVER, pick up after thier dog. It looks like a minefield out of a canine combat movie. I am really hoping that they get caught becase A) I am pretty sure that the $500 (or was it $300?) fine will teach them to pick up after their dog and B) it'd be nice to walk over to the store without playing GI Me and dodging the mines.
After work took Jenn (
invisibleinklin ) to the hospital to get x-rays. Pneumonia...but was sent home with meds and a prescription for over priced meds (but then again which aren't over priced?) and a regimen to take them for maximum effectiveness. It wasn't that bad but I was so tired that I was dozing and I hate doing that in public..especially in a very quiet waiting room and I hadn't had anything to eat in 12 hours. But after they let her go we went straight to Taco Bell and as starving as I was, I was filled up completely by a Grilled Stuft (that's how THEY spell it!!) Burrito. But it was delishious!! (Just wanted to continue the off-spelling in relation to Taco Bell)
Ooooh! I know what you need! A picture from the Philadelphia International Car Show from the other night! I had Jenn take a couple pictures that I wanted. She had already shot the cars that i wanted pictures of so I had her take pictures of things that touched upon my sense of humor. I don't know why they did exactly. Maybe you'll let me know. But here's number one and it's called "VagCom".

I'm thinking that VagCom is some kind of communications service tailored specially for women. Of course I haven't bothered visiting the URL below the awesome word to find out what it actually is. But I am sure what's in my mind is atleast mildly more amusing than the real explanation.
Well when Chad gets home shortly I gotta run us to two banks. I got my first pay check from this stint at Hess which is awesome. It'll get me as much gas as I'll need and to put some money into the rent/car insurance checking account. And then it's back home to do a little more work online (got A LOT accomplished last night!!!) before I shower and head out for work.
Have a great day and an awesome start to the weekend! Hopefully tonight at work I find out how much of a "weekend" I have haha G'Day!

Just a little on the tired side
So today had started out a little uneventful. Watched the movie Little Monsters (a blast from the past...a pretty big one for me) which is weird because just last week I was thinking that I wanted to see it again but I have no idea where at my mom's my VHS copy of it might be and if it was even in proper working order if I could find it. Lo and behold..it ends up on HBO today! All three Savage children were in it. And this brings me to Ben Savage. Whose full name happens to be Bennett Joseph Savage. Maybe for short he'd be known as BJ Savage. Which sounds like a Gay Porn star to me.
Then Chad and I played Gauntlet on my PS2 and finished more than the second half of the game and beat it on the lowest level. We are on the second-to-last level on the IMPOSSIBLE setting with two of our characters but keep losing. I was thinking that we needed a magician so we started a brand new game using the two character types that we weren't playing in the first game. We're building them up so that I an use the wizard with the warrior in the first game where we're stuck.
And then we went over to our friend Lauren's to help her move. Most of her stuff is on it's way from here (the Philadelphia, PA area) to Las Vegas, Nevada but she's driving her pickup loaded with the rest of her stuff starting later this morning. But she needed a lot of help because last week she broke her pinky so that is splinted and heavily taped to the ring finger which effectively removes that hand from service. Jenn had been there earlier in the day and came back because she had plans here (which I am sorry to report have been canceled for some unknown reason because the planee didn't show nor call to explain or let her know. But she'd set a time where if he didn't show by that time then we'd just go to Lauren's to help her.
She came here to get us because I'd never been to her place and Jenn wasn't sure how to get there because the trip is kinda complicated. After we got there I wasn't sure that we'd be able to find our way back without calling her and asking for help. After a bunch of work we wanted to drive a neat wrought-iron (atleast looking) rocking bench for our balcony plus a small matching table while there was still room in the bed of her pickup truck. We left Jenn there with her three cats to continue cleaning and packing stuff. I thought that this would be another good chance for me to figure out how to get home without Lauren guiding us. We drop off the couch. She told me that she wanted to stop by the Wal-Mart by her house to get a hitch for the truck to help tie down the tarp she is going to put over the bed of the truck to keep stuff in and better protected.
And it got me thinking when she said that the Wal-Mart was across the street from where she lives that there was a much, much easier way to get back from her place. She lives right off the main road which we live 5 minutes from. We had to go down two roads instead of eight to get back. The backroads. I swear. I explained the way to her even though it wouldn't matter since she was moving literally across the country the next day.
We went back to her place after Wal-Mart proved to be closed anyway. We were ready to do more work but she wanted to sit down and think of what to do. She demanded that we not stay much longer because we have to work tomorrow but that she needed help figuring out what to do since she needs to leave later today because her first day on her new job out there is Saturday. I am not sure how it's going to happen but I hope that she manages to get someone to help her out. I have to drive Jenn to work...there's no way that she'll wake up early enough to catch the bus that she'd need to to get to work on time so I will drive her in to give her atleast an extra 20 minutes and avoid some of the extreme cold outside while waiting for the bus.
And then I have to remove the stuff that is overstuffing my car...like doublestuffed Oreos...when I get back and put the new rocker 'couch' on the balcony. I can't wait until Spring evenings when it will feel great sitting out there on it! We can finally enjoy having a balcony. Closest we'd gotten so far was using it for neat decorations at Christmas time.
And then I get to work. It's only 2 hours..from 2-8pm so I assume that they're having me to come in to do the food side when someone is there who can tell me how to do everything that the first shift food person has to do such as stocking the food items from the back freezer and putting them in the small freezers behind the front counter where everything is made and making pizzas up for the later shifts...which is actually REALLY fun. To tell you the truth..there are some fun parts of the food side. The cashier side doesn't necessarily have any fun points to it but I think it would help keep me from getting bored of the food side such as I would if that's all I ever did there.
I may be working Wednesday and I am definitely working Thursday and Friday. I guess they'll ask me about Wednesday as Chad said that there's a question mark on the schedule for me for the day. When they talk to me about that I'll ask if they know yet if I am off on Saturday as I said that I would need to be for band practices..atleast earlier since we practice earlier morning usually but perhaps it'll just be a day off.
Alright I am tired from the driving and just being awake in general. So I'll bid you adieu. Goodnight preciouses.
