So I never updated about the Honor Society Induction.

It was just plan creepy.

So we're playing in a quartet while the adults come in and sit. We played all of our music twice. Then comes Dr. Brandy. He enters the auditorium and just stares at like the ceiling and the seats and whatnot. It was like he didn't know where he was. So we start playing. We still have five minutes... It's either we play another song for the third time, or someone runs to the orchestra room to get Arlington Sketches. we play Brandenburg No. 5....again. Then the Handel piece. The students start walking in one straight line. We played Brandenburg No. 3. They're still coming! We play Brandenburg No. 5. Right in the middle we're told to stop. Monica's whispering over to Victoria because she wouldn't stop. Monica and VIctoria jolt out of there. Yara runs with her cello and leaves her music because she thought that Monica and Victoria left theirs. I'm struggling wiht my viola (an oversized violin), grab my music, grab Yara's music, my bow, and my rosin.

We come back in five minutes to sit down. Dr. BRandy starts talking. He praises the Brandenburg Concertos. Then he starts saying, "Now if you hear Beethoven's fifth. Ba ba ba baaaaaaaaaa. Ba ba ba baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. "
slight pause
"What does it mean?"
Monica just starts laughing. She tries to stop but it's just so hilarious.

Then he starts saying, "Being part of an honor society means that you need to have a strong will. You need good leadership. You know blacksmiths? They have that hammer and an anvil. You know what an anvil is? Well the blacksmith pounds the hammer against the anvil. Don't be the anvil. Be the hammer!"

Then he says, "just like in Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel, you have to touch it." He starts *touching* the air as if he's poking something.



Okay so the details aren't exact...but you go the picture...right?

Mrs. Small tried to not laugh. She had that face where she needs to laugh so bad but knows she shouldn't. Everyone in the audience was laugh. There were people filming this. ...seriously...

When Mr. Swenning started to talk... I was told that Dr. Brandy was was falling asleep or something. I don't exactly remember.

Well... that's Comsewogue for you. ha. later.

And I forgot to say this. Brandy said that he doesn't like reading from a paper when he makes speeches. So he basically improvised.
I mean, I understand his point of view.... how it doesn't seem like he would be talking directly at us if he spoke from a piece of paper...but he should at least make good explanations that everyone would understand and not just what he would.

The scary thing is that the woman talked to my dad... then she talked to my brother.... so it's like she's trying to force us to convert. or maybe she's a stalker. Anyway I don't need her cult. So I'm in a panic. I'm in a complete panic. Who knows how math went? All I know is that I got new shoes. They're New Balance....again. For the third time in a row I got New Balance sneakers. amazing, huh? It was that...or assimilate to today's pop culture. sorta. In other words... New Balance or Converse. I wanted the converse, but the New Balance ones were blue. You know blue wins. Blue always wins. But in this case it's blue and silver.

I'm not a stickler. I'm not even that extreme with punctuation (especially when I'm typing on the computer). I guess I get this urge to correct others' punctuation...and not my own.
