Road trip & National Day celebration
Saturday. 8.12.06 7:48 am
Had a pretty nice road trip yesterday. Had to go down to the wine yard to meet the client and ask some questions. Although the place looks not as impressive as other big companies, it is very peaceful. You can just sit in the middle and absorb the sun and play wif ur dogs (if u have 1). Anyway, the old couple (owners) seem to be still in love. So cute. .. The car ride there is quite long. Anyway, after that, went down to school to attend Singapore Student Association's National Day Celebration at 6pm. The whole thing lasted for abt 2 and a half hours. Not bad, though i didnt win any prizes. Had fun and my housemate, Leighton was " chosen" (sabotaged) to be a contestant in the pagent. He won in the end, n he got a big box of food .haha....

These few wks, have been quite busy, hope everything will slow down. I wan to slp....

Here are some pics:

1. McLaren Vale, Braydun Hills property

2. Me and mayboo at the party (me first time wearing big red, HOT sia!)

3. Grace, mayboo n me

4. My housemate, Leighton is in orange (do u think the guy beside him is hot?)
but his personality is really screwed up, pity that.

5. Me wif the FLAG

Feeling exceptionally good?
Tuesday. 8.8.06 6:15 am
Woke up this morning and trying to remember my dream. I dreamt that my parents renewed their vows and got married again. It was kind of sweet and i even saw them kiss (dun noe how i got to dreaming abt that). Thus, i tut it was on a weekend and suddenly i realised it was a sch dae. Haha...

Anyway, amazingly, i could concentrate (sort of listened) to 2dae's lectures. Usually, i will have short attention span one, but 2dae was quite good. One of the adv of studying overseas is you get to see the big pic, not jus like if u are in singapore, then u will learn abt the environment in singapore and tok less abt the other countries. Anyway, my lecturer kept on mentioning or used Singapore as an example. He said that Singapore is very advanced and that the ppl live a stressful life till they dun have time to make babies. Its kind of true anyway. And he said that restaurants are big in singapore. Haha, felt kind of proud when he mentioned my COUNTRY. hehe... In addition, there are several cases related to singapore in the near future tutorials. Example, Starbucks coming to singapore, singapore airlines..... Isn't it good?

Was listening to David tao's new album, felt quite happy (athough i really cant stand him, so proud and act american). It made me dae-dream abt how i wan my wedding to be. I definitely wan it to be unique, prob not gonna have it in a hotel. Could be an outdoor event, mayb i can aproach an events company to do it for me (but i will plan the whole thing). Woohoo!!! Still have a long way for that to happen. Cant wait man.

-missing him now.

Will one be happy?
Sunday. 8.6.06 6:40 am
These days, alot of my fren's fren broke up. Wonder is it the curse of july? There are many reasons for ppl breaking-up. Such as personality not compatible, religious beliefs, not understanding the other party, going bk to ex.... Will one feel happier without the other party? Will she be able to be comforted by someone better? Will she meet someone better? Will she still break-up with him when she meets him? Will this be the end or the starting? I have no idea. Long-distance relationship is difficult, no matter in whose position. Its takes courage to carry on as well as to give up. Giving up everything you have built, every single memory that is printed in your head. I hope those that have jus broken up will not feel lost, but happier.

24 hours is not enuf
Saturday. 8.5.06 9:17 am
Instead of having 2 off days (weekdaes), i only have fri off. This semester got alot of readings to do and alot of heavy assignments. I havent even started on writing notes, got no time. Let's jus sae, i have no motivation to write or even read my notes. So much things to do and i m still typing my blog anyway.

Anyway, went to CHinatown to shop for food, i suggested having a fest 2dae. 4 ppl, $10 each. Actually quite filling n worth it, we had mapo tofu, chilli prawns (medium sized frozen ones), thai salad, rice and ice-cream. All made by us gals. We took abt 1 hour plus to complete our feast, but took us like 2hours to eat the dinner. There some delays here n there, so the food was laid on the table from 7 plus, till like 9 plus b4 we had our dinner. Overall, it was nice. Though expensive, its such a nice gathering, like thanks giving dinner. Having our usual doses of laughter and those who dun usually cook, they took the initiative to cut the stuff and cook it. hehe... There would be more of such meals in the future.

P:s: D.D. is having fun, watching the fireworks, hope no one actually "lights his fire" except for me.

Long update
Tuesday. 8.1.06 4:13 am
The freaking internet at Raffles House has been bad these few daes, thus i couldnt and cant be bothered to update my blog. Anyway, attended my fren's Graduation Ceremony this morning. It was quite eye-opening. The hall (Bonython Hall) was very British like. Pictures of professors in their robes along the hall, i tink they have a pipe-organ on the second floor. Alot of ppl attended the ceremony, i sat at the bk, so couldnt see anything. At 10am sharp, the old organ-like music stopped (which was playing b4 that), n the speaker asked the audience to rise to welcome the academic procession, like all the important ppl. Actually it was just to watch the "Important ppl" walking on the middle pathway and acknowledging them. They wore the traditional robes and it was like a scene in Harry potter sia.
Next, national anthem (which obviously i did not sing) and the most boring part is listening to this old man tok for 20mins. Although it was certainly relevant to the environment or world, but it was very long. The whole ceremony lasted abt an hour, alot of asian students from the Faculty of Commerce, degree in accounting. So popular!!

I cant wait for my Graduation ceremony in dec. I can picture myself getting so emotional n tearing at the event. I hope to see my family there, friends (if possible) and hopefully D.D. (not likely bah) to see me up on the stage for just mayb 5 seconds. "Ur learning doesnt cease until u die." That was wat i remembered from that old man (which is very true). ARG!!! Side track abit, there is this cute ABC guy in my tutorial and he is in my project grp. Hehe.... (D.D. dun jealous hor.) So charming man!

Had a birthday celebration for my housemate, Leighton. He is just 20 years old, man i feel old liao. Went to a very nice restaurant, Cos. It serves very good food especially steaks. Yummy, i had lamb which is surprising good. No smell and the meat is very soft and tender. The most ex meal i have ever eaten, total bill for 13 ppl is $465. Then, went to a club to chill. Hate the music, so trance.
