I am going to the Mayor's party tonight and so am unable to participate in tonight's session of our nightly sbox convos.

Now am wondering what I should wear...

I have a red sweater that my mother says I should wear. It's a semi-formal event so no jeans, or at least jeans that don't look like jeans. ;)

Alright, I've decided. Red sweater over blue skinny jeans and black boots. Silver necklace, bracelet, and earrings. I just hope it's not too casual...Should I bring a suit jacket just in case? Tell me! T.T

Hooray, we have a whole week off. I was going to start looking for work today, but it's already noon and I don't think I have much time for job-hunting what with the time squeeze. Time squeeze, you ask? Because I need at least two hours for travel, my mother gets off work at about 5pm, and I need to be home or at least able to give her a definitive answer on where I am whenever it is she calls me. Instead, I may actually do the household chores for once.

Why two hours? Why not anywhere near my house or somewhere nearer with less time wasted on the train? Because starting next week, I'll be taking night classes. So I am looking for daytime part-time. Why only part? When else will I open my books and start, let alone, finish my assignments! My schedule is now a bit of a time crunch.

I'm thinking of getting late morning to early afternoon shifts. That way, I have a few hours in the morning for books, travel?, work, travel?, books/lunch-dinner, class.

I also have to re-study. I registered for the March SAT. Yes, I've already taken it. This is just for my uncle who is an asshole. Just to make sure I get the best score I could possibly get and have something to throw back at him when he gives me his "I'm a genius/THE genius of the family" speech again. Which is a definite. Unlike other, well, most things in my life.

In other news, a beloved celebrity is dead. I can't believe it. She has been a staple in the culture for a very long time. We knew it was coming, of course, but it doens't make it less sad. I'm not crying or anything, but I'm sure her daughter is and the girl is around my own age. Poor dear.

Cute vid, no? And...aren't they so awesome?! *gush* Taiwanese shuai ge who are (supposedly) trilingual. Their Cantonese is demonstrated in this next vid:



Almost accent-less. ;) I think that is really great. Now if only their English is just as good...or is that asking too much? Heaven knows my Mandarin is really lacking these days. I don't speak it as much or as well as I used to. XD True and sad. I've really got to talk to more than just myself these days...>.>;;

Hahaha! I recently looked up this video site specially for anything asian and found the drama Reaching for the Stars made back in 2005. Watched it, found the guy interesting (acting better than most pop idols these days), and storyline was nice. Looked him up and found out he was the elder of twin brothers in a pop group called 2moro. Sadly, I haven't been able to find any recent info. on them. Of course, there's the language barrier as always. x_x My fault. XD

I can't believe I missed the Austen series for so many weeks. It was Pridfe & Prejudice this week...TT.TT

Well, I got a new backpack. ;) I've been wanting one. A small one cuz I've got three huge ones, one of which I've used for three yrs and plus? It's dirty and a large pocket mirror had cracked in it, so there are shards of glass in the side pocket. >.>

Maybe I'll find a pic. I dunno if I should keep it or exchange for the brown one. Mine is yellow--as in sunshine yellow, plus white to contrast the parts that have a pattern on it. It's Jansport. Maybe ya'll can find it, cuz I really don't got the time to look and post link/pic.

The concert/opera was good. Chinese history that I would otherwise never learn because American Education is enlightening that way. ^-^

If you want to know more about what it was about, say so.

I need to get up and at it early tomorrow morning. First, off to my grandmother's, then a little walk to my 9am meeting. Of course, I have to bother my grandmother because technically, I'm not 18 yet. (Chinese years, I am nineteen.) So she has to tag along. And I will probably hear her nag at me about it, early morning interferences when she has plans--going to the Senior Center for lunch and hanging with her sweet old lady friends.

And it is 1am. I HAD NOT planned on sleeping so 'late', but as we all know, life does not go as planned. I came home, checked my email, saw that 2008 is a very bad year for my animal, got saddened, then accepted it (like I always do, I'm very adaptable), and now I am ready to sleep.

I, more likely than not, will not have time to go blogging tomorrow so I am risking her highness's wrath to get this down and out into cyberspace.

Plus, I have decided I love Clinique and will go with no other brand for skincare (at least facially) until proven otherwise. I have been using the two dramatically diffferent moisturizing gel samples years before it came out commercially (is that right?). Loooved it~~(as Wheezie says--more on that later).
