I have other stuff to mention but I will try to write it in the morning before work. But the following is mucho important!!!!!
As long as I haven't replied too late due to computer issues it looks like a song of ours will be on a national compilation sold in some big retail chains!! I've had my band over on
D-Music for years and I saw a posting that they are going to create an album to be sold in these big chains and music stores all over whose proceeds will go to several charities that help wounded soldiers and the families of soldiers that have been killed in the current conflicts. So the money goes towards very, very, very good use! By them putting the album out and our having a song on it shows our allegiance to our soldiers and their families that endure the hardships that come from such service. We are not saying that we are for the war...but that we are for the soldiers that unfortunately must fight it.
As soon as I get definites I will of course post them. But if their plans work out you won't have ANY trouble getting a copy if you live in the US.
I submitted our intent and then we were added to a list. They then had a group of unbiased music lovers whiddle the list down to an appropriate number for a CD. I picked absolved because we believe that the tone and meaning of the song have something to do with the cause. Hopefully I ended up getting back to them in time because it would be awesome for us and even more awesome to think of those that we may have helped to help. I will send everyone I know to get a copy and buy a bunch to give away as presents.
As I learn more such as locations (should definitely be orderable online from their site when it's released), price, etc... I will post it immediately! Thank you and god bless!

I disappeared but not because of/for you
Well I am back! My first or was it second day here by myself alone in the apartment the cable goes out as does our Internet access. At work that night I tell Jenn that it was all knocked out. She said that she'd call Comcast after I hung up and before she went to bed. Cable was on when I got home but no internet. I'd been without Internet access until just a short time ago this morning. I fixed it. I am the height of awesomeness!
Not much had gone on in the few days I couldn't get on here. Well I'll be paying more for the phone bill due to text messaging. I've been bored and messaging friends that I would probably talk to online if I could have gotten there. But also was talking a lot with my co-worker. Her son's became very sick at the took him to the ER/hospital and she'd spent a lot of time there with him and no one else so I was keeping messages going to try to keep her sane as well. She took him back to the ER last night. I'm hoping she can come into work tonight because if not...I may just get my ass kicked myself. My manager is in Jersey taking her training courses for 8 days, the store manager will have been there since early this morning because Regional Managers are coming by and could be there early. Jess is already at work. Two other workers have full-time jobs aside from our store and have already worked way too much so they're out. Chad still hasn't gotten in from his shift from last night and he has to work tonight until 9am tomorrow until I get there which is rough enough. But if she can't come in I can work both sides by myself I guess until Mohamed comes in at 8. Normally I am done at 8 when he comes in which gives him hours aside from his full-time job (which is why he couldn't get there earlier because he comes from work to get to our store at 8) and I could work until 10 instead of 8. But hopefully she'll be able to make it in as I am already fairly exhausted and have my shift tonight and a 9 hour shift tomorrow morning. Thankfully I am then off Saturday even though we have band practice. But I'll spend the rest of the day relaxing to the highest extent possible.
Now. I am in love with the new Fall Out Boy cd. Haven't bought it yet but I have it on Rhapsody and my Sansa Mp3 player and it's so good I think I'll definitely have to buy it. I think that it lacks some of the 'heaviness' that they had in previous efforts but there is still plenty there. But overall I think the songs are amazing. Their sound is definitely more tightly produced and a little "poppier" in a way. But the overall musicianship is incredible...the vocals are astounding..all around. Has to be awesome if I can listen to it for free (with my Rhapsody paid account but still technically free) and I still want to go to the store and buy the album. But personally i feel that they deserve it for putting it out. You know..maybe not everyone will feel about the album as I do. But I think that it came out at just the right time for me for some reason. I am not sure exactly what this really means but when I think about it..somehow the overall effect it has on me seems to be precisely what I need.
Well we're gearing up for Saturday. We are supposed to be auditioning a drummer who is very interested in what we do. I've listened to his stuff and it was very good and he said that he was limited in what he could do and I told him that we all knew what that was like trying to conform to John's voice. So we're kinda looking for a new start as far as what our overall sound will be. I told him that he won't be limited and we're looking for that attitude...someone that really wants to be a part of the band and what we do. Someone that won't just sit behind the kit because they want to play drums for a band. We want them to be as moved and energized by our music as we will be. Keeping my fingers crossed.
I guess anything else can wait. Just have to finish my laundry which has ALL of my work clothes in it and get something to eat. Have a fantabulous day!
