PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES
Wednesday. 1.28.04 10:30 am
I have finally been able to upload most of the pictures from my trip to the Philippines this past December. I still have about 1 roll left in my camera. I just need to finish up the last 11 shots and I can get it developed. You know, 2 day film processing is much more cheaper than that one hour deal. Just a bit of advice...

I decided to post them here cause I wanted to add captions to them. Please bookmark this page as it will be my future online journal. - Hopefully. This is about the millionth time I've decided to move.

So here it goes. Enjoy everybody!

This is probably one of my most favorite pictures ever! Don't they look so good together?!?!?

Here is the infamous Otso-Otso gang. From L2R: my cousin Anna (okay, she's a bit too old to be doing that dance, so I don't make her), Micah (Kuya Macoy's daughter), Aliyah, RJ (Kuya Raph's son), and in the background is Claire (Ate Angie's daughter). Man, when you put these kids together (sans Anna), they make the movie "Daddy Day Care" look like a picnic!

This is also a favorite of mine. It was taken at my Auntie Alice's store. She and her husband own a marble factory in the province. They pretty much sell stuff like that for landscaping, construction, etc. It's pretty neat watching her employees make bricks. I just sit there for hours on end watching them grind the rocks into sand/dust which will then become brick. How cool!

Anyway, the above people are all my relatives. We had a little get together cause it was my Tatay's birthday and a kind of a despedida for me. The ones standing in the back are: Lola Dely, Lola Rosy, Uncle Ambet, and Auntie Tessie. The ones at the table from L2R are: Uncle Bong, Tita Zeny, Tita Alice, Lola Jessie, and I forgot her name. Oops!

The handsome man standing up is my most favorite Uncle ever! I love him dearly and he was also someone I was looking forward to seeing very much. We've had a tight bond ever since I was a little girl. He's pretty much like a father to me.

INUMAN NA!!! In Tagalog, that means "It's time to drink!" And drinking is always associated with having a good time. It's so much a part of the Filipino culture. It's not even really about the drinking, but about being together and enjoying the company of others.

This picture was taken during our first reunion/inuman at Pier One in Fort Bonifacio. That was so much fun! The best part of the whole evening was being able to see those who were able to attend that night. Rowena was nice enough to set up the venue, time, and contact all who wanted to come. A lot of our batch came out that night.

Unfortunately, the pictures for that get together didn't come out good cause I was using this ancient disposable camera. Stupid me forgot mines at home! So this was the only decent pix that came out. Us five were the only girls (Kim left early). From L2R: Helene, Me, Rowena, Kim, and Isabel. I brought Helene with me cause I wanted her to go out with us. I think she had a good time though.

Our second reunion was also lively! We all decided to meet up at Tapika's along Katipunan. I've heard that's where Paolo Santos, the kick ass acoustic guy, got famous. It was a nice venue, although not as roomy as Pier One. Most of those who attended at Tapika's weren't able to attend or didn't know about the reunion at Pier One. So I got to see more people! And this time, I made sure to bring my wonderful camera. Here are our mugshots....

L2R: Rowena, John Jo, Me, Jake, Aris (yesss gwaping), Carizza (I love her smile), and Siege (he's probably the only guy I know who can get away with that kinda hairstyle, seriously! He rocks!).

The very coolest and nicest guys ever! Damn, I felt like a pimp. L2R: Gutoc, Rodjie, Jake, Me, Justin, Mike, Pets, Sam, Aids, and Raymon at the bottom.

Ahhh, I feel so ugly around these two! L2R: Kriskind, Herna, Me.

Me, Justin, Pets, and Rowena

Me, Romy Fe, and Siege - coolest & smartest LOVE people ever! Okay, except me.

L2R: Me, Shauna, Gabby, and Rowena. Shauna and Gabby weren't in our batch. In fact, they didn't even go to OLGM. But they live in Burgundy and that's where I met Shauna. I brought them with me cause I wanted to spend time with them as well.

Last order came around 1 AM, I think. We were being kicked out! So me, Romy Fe, Aris, Jake, John Jo, and Pao decide to head over to Jack's Loft in Eastwood City for some food and dessert. Justin, Pets, AIDS, Mike, Sam, Guts, Rowena, and them weren't able to meet up with us cause they were too busy trying to score that night. Hahahahaha, gotta give them "A" for effort.

Here are more pics we took at Jack's Loft.

GROUP PICTURE!!!!

More pictures taken during inuman sessions. I did a lot of drinking in the Philippines. I made up for lost time.

This is Justin and I hanging out at his house. His house is really beautiful and they own a cute Shi-Tzu named Snoop. We were trying to figure out how to do the timer thing on my camera, that's why I look like a dork.

I remember this was on a Wednesday because Justin had picked me up and while we were waiting for Sam, me and him chatted. Justin is also another one of my favorite conversationalists. He's so funny!

Back in high school, I didn't really like Justin at first. But that changed soon enough and now, I consider him a really good friend of mine. He keeps it real with me, at the same time, hindi siya bastos (he's not rude). And even though this guy has had a many female conquests, he's a gentleman. Shoot, I'd date him! But I can't cause he's my friend. Heheeeh feeling. He is someone I feel I can trust with anything.

And finally, Sam arrives. My stomach began to hurt while I was at Justin's and Sam surprised me by buying me some medicine. How nice! Sam is also a newly graduate of NE (I think). Congratulations, Sam!

Okay, and these strange people are my "rocker buddies". Yes, that is what I have dubbed them as. I try and hang with different circles of people cause I like to keep myself open to other interests. It truly broadens one's way of thinking! Reg - the most handsome of course (heheeheh) - is a good friend of mine. He's the one standing up. I met him back when I was at Ateneo.

L2R: TJ, Reg, Camoi, Maki.

This is my family right here. I love coming home to them and doing what we do best: get lit, get drunk, listen to music, and talk and talk and talk... Some of my greatest moments in life, be it intoxicated or not, were with these fellas. They also introduced me to the appreciation of the genre of rock.

Reg is the vocalist and TJ is the drummer for a band in the Philippines called Greyhoundz. I was never much into rock before, especially their kinda rock, but like I said before, this group of individuals helped me to branch out and check out other kinds of music. Till this very day, I owe it to Reg for not only helping me to let out my hidden love for rock, but also for introducing me to some of the most intellectual, talented, and fuckin' COOLEST people ever. (I just had to put fuckin' cause that totally emphasizes my love for them.)

It was getting a bit nippy on Maki's rooftop... L2R: Maki, Me, Karl, Reg.

Me and my girls! L2R: Helene, Loraine, Me, Anna Kaye. Another one of my favorite group of people - my SISTERS!

Helene, I've known since she hooked up with my bro, Kevin. She's a great person and I admire her so much for a lot of reasons. I love her as if she was my real sister, and I love her sisters all the same! While I was in PI, Me, Helene, Aliyah, Cloy, and MayAnn (Helene's little sisters) all went to Rockwell. I had the most fun with them. I felt like I really had sisters. Thank you, Helene!

Loraine has been my best friend since I started in Ateneo. Before I knew her as well I do now, I thought she was kinda wild n crazy. I still think she is, but she's also somebody I can act like that around. She's that type of friend that I can hang out with and do anything with. We could be stuck in the middle of nowhere and still find something to talk and laugh about. I love Loraine a whole bunch and I miss her a lot, especially when I'm needing a good laugh or advice.

Anna Kaye was one of the many awesome people I met through Loraine. Me and her became close talking online also. I feel priviledged with all the stuff she's shared with me. I know I can totally trust her with my deepest darkest secrets. She was nice enough to hang out with me that day and bring me to the salon. Yeah, that was a good day. Too bad, it had to end... I miss my girls!

The guerilla and his bodyguard

Karl, Miko, Me, and Romie Boy

The night before I had to leave for US, I had dinner with Helene, Aliyah, Andrew, Shauna, and Karl. Here are the pics of our dinner at Kamirori's. Or should I say Kamimura's.... hahahhaah! (inside joke)
