This is how it goes...

I go to work 15 minutes early, get myself ready for 8 hours of excruciating labor and he arrives just in time to take away my focus; that is when he is sitting on the same row as I am and we have a wall between us to keep my focus back on track. However, when he is sitting on the next row, where I could see him at the corner of my eye, I know that this is not going to be a productive day.

He attracts my sight like a magnet. Whenever I am trying to focus on the job at hand, my eyes move away from the computer and into his direction. At that point, all I can think about is how much I want to sit next to him and talk, or if he wants to have lunch together, or go see a movie after work. But none of those plans ever materialized and if it did, I was never the one who asked.

See this is why you should never let your feelings known, especially to the one whom you have feelings for and when that one is a friend. It makes everything awkward. You are never comfortable around him and if you attempt to do so you end up being snotty as if you are ignoring him, which is what you don't want him to think at all.
