What a terrible way to start the class! But aren't solar-powered vampires a bit impractical? Did you know I have somewhere around one hundred forty entires? The primary function of the United States Coast Guard (besides protecting the borders and patroling national waters) is to travel back in time and battle pirates! If wishes were squids, then beggars would write. With the ink, you see. The ink of SO MANY SQUIDS. "It doesn't get any more serious than a Rhinocerus about to charge your ass." Except for finals, which were annoying and a waste of time. But now it's summer, and all is good. No longer a bummer, all as it should. Yes, I'm still leaving. I guess I am stupid for leaving behind all my friends... but I know I won't lose touch with those most important to me. Even the one I'm leaving for. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I really don't want to forget her. Magnetic personalities suck. I've had much trouble with them of late. But there's no point in getting into that. Maybe another day, another blog. But I was kinda wondering this week: what would happen if we placed a mirror around the sun, or maybe half the sun? What would happen to it? Would it turn a funny color because of the reflected colors of light? Would it get hotter because of said reflected light and start fusing atoms at higher rates, making it burn brighter and shorten its lifetime? Would it just explode and kill everything that was still alive in the universe? (I realize putting a mirror around it would probably kill us pretty fast, Ice Age style.) But, I mean... What would happen? Geez. First magnets and now this. And I had a question about magnets on my Physics test! Washington is trying to drive me crazy! Ahem. That's pretty much it. No need to bore all of you any more than I already have. Welcome to summer, time of the parties and funnities that must ensue! Comment! It's been rather painful trying to get him to be nice again but it'll come in time. Coincidentally, I don't think I'll be doing too much for a while because I kinda got grounded for taking him back... But blah, blah. Life sucks sometimes. Comment! Sad isn't it? 'Tis. I know. I really don't have much of a life. But on Thursday, I went to the Nine Inch Nails concert at the Warfield and it was incredibly awesome. I got to enjoy Mr. Reznor's incredible amounts of energy and hotness for a while. There were only six songs, and I missed the last one since I was trying to get a poster but it was worth it. I got my copy of downward Spiral signed before the show, too. *drools* Yes, that was definitely a highlight. My second time seeing him was quite enjoyable. Beyond that, I've just been helping friends do this and that after school and talking with them. And I even broke another of my taboos one day and went to McDonalds since it was cheap and close. Oh yeah. I invented a gay popsicle joke, too. Good times. I'm heading to Tower on Tuesday to get the new Nine Inch Nails CD. And if they don't have any, I'm going to Rasbutin. And if there are none left there, I'm going to Amoeba. It doesn't really sound like any of the previous CDs... a little more mainstream, I think, but it still sounds good. On Friday, I got to spend a bit of time with someone I never really get to talk to anymore while I sort of helped her with an essay. But we kept getting kicked out of the libraries we went to for some reason, which was incredibly annoying since she only got one of the two essays done and I couldn't finish my second. After we gave up, we got some food and whatnot and sat at a table outside of Starbucks to eat. Some crazy asian lady sat at the table next to ours and started asking some really inane questions and, after she got done asking those, some kind of personal ones. I was trying to shut her up, 'cause my friend got on the phone, but she started howling as she talked about people cussing her out in LA... I can't imagine why that would've happened. Anyway, it was later brought to my attention that she sounded exactly like Miss Swan from Mad TV and I'd really have to agree with that. We left for class since I really couldn't stand the lady anymore and sat around cracking jokes about the art for about two hours. I was planning on walking home, but my friend offered to have her mom drive me so I didn't have to. And then yesterday, I had Art History again. I only had about three hours of sleep since I was up until four waiting for something, but I still went and made it on time. We sat around for four hours, discussing anorexics and pedophilia during the breaks, and a few of us met up to go to San Francisco after class. Said friend from yesterday didn't have money, apparently, so I ended up paying for her BART ticket. My friend Casey was supposed to meet us there, but, no, first her mom wouldn't drive her, then she gave up and left me a message to meet her at her house. We ended up going to the Apple Store where we lost my friend from yesterday to her boyfriend, which was cool since she seemed happy. Afterwards, Wenji decided he really needed to pee, so he literally ran over to Old Navy and upstairs to their bathrooms. I figured I might as well follow them, which proved amusing when he ran in a complete circle on the second floor trying to find the bathroom. Great fun. We left Old Navy and my stalk-o-vision went off, everyone was impressed, and I opted to move on quickly so I wouldn't sit there all day. We hit up the Metreon so Tom could get a PSP *coughs*rich*coughs* and then we went back over to Rasputin. I was thoroughly disgusted with their selection this time, but, since no one wanted to hit the Haight, I lived with it. Afterwards, Wenji really wanted to eat, so we walked around until we found, you guessed it, a Burger King. We all ordered and sat and then I saw a guy with the hottest pants I've ever seen. Seriously. And since I never learned his name, it's Mr. Hot Pants (I thought he might be gay, also...) I was very tempted to go over and ask him where he bought them, and everyone was telling me to go do it, but then a friend of his came over to him and destroyed my confidence. When we finished eating, though, I figured I might as well go ask. And I did. It turns out he was from Germany (and he was 19, by the way. And not gay) and he got them there. We had a little chat over where he lived also, but then I left to go share my exploits with Todd and Tom. Wenji missed it, unfortunately, because he apparently has a bladder the size of a fry box. We wandered around for a while after that and Tom looked for a memory stick for his PSP but didn't find one. We got back on BART and I called Casey, who said she was in the city and that she'd meet me somewhere tomorrow with a friend (who has yet to call and tell me anything since I asked her last night), and went home. I don't suppose any of that was two interesting, but I'm still really happy I got to spend some time with a friend I never talk to anymore. It's nice to see her smile once in a while. I'm not looking forward to Tuesday, though. We're doing STAR testing and it's going to bug the hell out of me. Waking up early everyday, not really seeing people I like to talk with, and it pretty much eliminates all the things that make me want to go to school. That is, all the upsides of going. But alas, it will be done, and things will return to normal afterwards. Later, DS
Comment! (5) | Recommend! | Categories: random [t], life [t] Splendor Saturday. 4.2.05 2:33 pm So I ended up doing a lot of stuff yesterday. I had to wake up at about five AM to get ready for and get to work by six. When I got there, I went into the break room to clock in and apparently the night crew (security guards, mostly) at Circuit City gets pretty bored. I walked in and immediately steped into a convieniently placed bucket of water at the bottom of the stairs, soaking my right foot. I yelled and walked into the middle because there weren't lights on and, all of a sudden, they came on and the staff jumped out and shouted, "Suprise! Happy Birthday!" I was trying to say it wasn't my birthday and stuff while shaking the water off of my foot, then someone had the decency to yell, "April Fools!" At that point, I threw my shoe at Steve. They put my shoe in the dryer-thing and I went off to unload a shipment and log it... I had a little trouble with that, too, but I'm not going to get into detail. I got off at 11:30 and caught the bus back to Millbrae and went to Alda's party. It was pretty cool. I got into the backyard and met a whole bunch of new people and they're pretty cool. At least the guys are anyway. I'm not sure if there were any girls I didn't know. At any rate, Alda was going nuts trying to keep everyone entertained and fed and whatnot and I was trying to help, but I gave up after a couple of hours... She's quite stubborn when she wants to be. Let's see. There was also a grill fire, which was odd. Her grill is kinda connected to her house, so we ended up lighting her house on fire. After getting her soaked with the hose accidentally, we sat down and played cards and ate. Nittin was having a rather good time losing, for some reason. Anyway, I looked back over to the grill because I smelled smoke again and, sure enough, it was on fire again. Alda's friends and I took the wooden thing above the grill apart and doused everything again and we're pretty sure it went out. That sort of killed the mood for playing cards outside, so we went into the living room and ate and played cards and watched some oddball movie. Not too much of great interest happened after that, though Alda did get caked... which was funny, I guess, but she did seem a bit irritated. I had to leave a little after that to get back to work, though, or else they would have kept me longer and I wouldn't have been able to take the bus back to Millbrae for Art History. Okay, so maybe I didn't do a lot, but it kept me entertained for a day, which is always good, right? Later, DS

Casey and I have been chilling at my house, several malls, downtown SF, her house, and a few other places for their entirety. She slept over two days in a row, unfortunately forcing me to either give up my bed or share it (so I shared grudgingly), and basically used me as a fashion consultant both mornings... which is pretty retarded. I'm not one for staring at clothes and saying "good" or "bad." I eventually gave up and dressed her to shut her up. But anyway, quite possibly the most interesting thing we did was try to go to the movies. We left my house and got to the theater, only to realize I'd forgotten my wallet and she only had enough money for a little over one ticket. We stood outside and protested the ticket prices until the manager came out and yelled at us, though, and he gave us stuff to shut us up. I don't really remember what we were doing at the time he came out, though. It was either screaming about not having enough money to feed the llama if we bought tickets or if we were just singing/making up the words to "If I Only Had a Ticket." Oh, right. He ended up giving me this weird Century poster and a free pass. I didn't realize he'd given me a free pass till we'd gone home, though. I think Casey got one also.
