I went to Cambridge on saturday as I mentioned in my previous entry, and my friend took some photos ^^, but me being a lazy cow didn't bring a camera so I'll go nick the photos off her. But in the mean time I'll descirbe my trip of Cambridge with links to photos that other people have taken heh heh heh.

Anyone thinking of applying to Cambridge?

Im in my first year of college (England has a really weird system, maybe I'll rant about this on a later date XD), but bascially I'm applying to universities next year and then going University in 2 years! (OMG seems so soon...) lol.

Inside cmabridge there is around 28 colleges, I went to visit Trinity College (the richest one) for a special mentoring programme for ethnic minorities ^^, though you had to have all A*s and A's in GCSE (the exams we take when we finish secondary school, I guess equvilant is middle school... O_o not sure feel free to correct me ^^.

TRINITY COLLEGE IS BEAUTIFUL, it actually stunned me how pretty it was, and I'm not easily impressed.



The grass is so green that I'd feel bad stepping on it, (well I dont care about the 'dont step on the grass' sign :P) though they say if you have a Cambridge degree you're allowed. heh.

Although I have to say, it doesn't actually hit you how pretty it is until you're actually there, you feel like you're wlaking through a photo.

The only bad points about Camrbridge without mentioning how hard it is to get in XD, I know, I'm probs not going to get into Cambridge let alone Trinity College inside Cambridge but I can dream, eh?

(OMG Trinity reminds me so much of Hogwarts and Harry potter Just look at their Icon/logo it screams Gryffindor! )

Bad points: extremely hard to get in, the city is around the size of Winchester (I got to college in Winchester, just be warned it is a TOWN not a CITY ¬_?, small community (I guess some people could like it that way), not alot to do around the city, if you study at cambridge they don't let you get a part time job, Cambridge the city itself isnt that interesting

Good points: The colleges are beautiful, trinity is the wealthiest but soem other college are rumoured to be prettier I went to St John's and Sidney's they didn't seem as amazing, serene and tranquil would be a nice place to study, cover most of your expenses if need be, can easily get everywhere probably can easily walk aorund the whole city, VERY LOW crime rate -> you can walk about at night and feel completely safe, mostly all students in Cambridge easier to get to know people, trinity is RIGHT in the town centre

Overall it is AMAZING, APPLY THERE. But seriously, got see for yourself, it is a BEAUTIFUL place, I go to college (like high school) in Winchester, and Winchester does not COMPARE!

Btw I am NOT posh, I live in Southampton, its just the best college near me happens to be in winchester ^^.

Ok now to actually what I was DOING in Cambridge lol, it was basically a programem to promote more people from ethnic minorities to apply to Cambridge and to dispel any ideas that Cambridge is only for: rich, posh, male, English people. LOADS of different types of peopel go there, and its not intimidating at ALL, the people are so nice and friendly. After talking to a few people there I realised its nothing like what I thought it was like, it so friendly and I just can't say enough about how great it is. Even people who were originally strong considering going to a University in London felt very persuaded by it ^^. APPLY!

Hahahha, I sound like Cambridge propaganda. But anwyays now I have a mentor in Cambridge who does to TRINITY COLLEGE *dies* and is in her second year of economics, she seems absolutely lovely and she must be so smart, and damn her she's really pretty as well. *sighs* But now if I have any questions I can ask her ^^. Even though I'm mostly considering a career in Medicine, I'm considering Economics and Banking as well, but to go into that type of Career you don't actually need to do a degree in Banking/Economics, so if Medicine fails for me I have a back up plan! haha.

But I did nothing over my half term (a week of holiday), and now I realised just how much work I have >_< and I just found out:

28/50 for A2 maths
82/100 for AS Chemistry

My chemistry is fine, but OMG I'm failing maths. A2 refers to what you learn in your second year in college and AS is what you learn in the first year of College, Maths I'm doing early XD. But OMG NOW IM FAILING. Oh crap...

HELP ME PEOPLE!
Lols. Yay my first proper blog entry!

Coming up: Oxford! I'm making a trip to Oxford from Friday to Sunday, and I'm doing alot more there. I'm in the OxIMUN which stands for Oxford International Model of the United Nations, and CUBA for World Health Organisation. I have to research about how to stop an avain flu pandemic. If you search "OxIMUN" on google click the first link and it'll tell you everything about it. heh heh. Lets see if it compares to cambridge, although I have to say cambridge left a pretty good impression!

Ok some time, I'm going to put random sketches and rambles of myself and everything, but I'll leave that for a time where I dont have loads of work. ^^

Though OMG I can't believe so many of you commented ^^, feels loved. Although I guess its all thanks to Kuri, but lemme just live the dream that I'm popular here okay? :P.

Edit: Testing now done, I'll actually post a blog the day after tomorrow, since tomorrow I'm away on a trip. YAY! I'm finally happy with my layout now.
