That damn "Happy Feet:
Sunday. 11.26.06 10:41 pm
That damn movie made me cry. I had to view it for what it really was and that is another reason for liberals to make humans feel guilty for everything; like cruelty to animals and next they will blame us for global warming. Most of all, penguins DONT sing or dance!

Final Chapter in "WORRY FOR HER SAFETY"
Tuesday. 12.19.06 11:40 am
My sister had not called me in awhile and it was two days before she was to leave for Oahu. She finally called me and this was the conversation:

Me: "So, are you ready to go home and start your new job?"

Her: "Oh yeah, I haven't talk to you in a while huh?"

Me: (furious inside because this statement means that she has changed her mind)

Her: I decided not to go.

Me: Huh? What did you do about the job?

Her: I told them that I would not be taking it and that I am going to stay here instead.

Me: After all of that, I cant believe that you are choosing to stay. (I was furious and angry. I have put so much energy, time and worry into this and she chooses to stay with him?? This is your CLASSIC battered wife syndrome!!) Aside from being upset for my own convienience, she is insisting on staying in an abusive relationship. She is so blind to see what is going on. I cant do anything else to help her. I told her, "if things go bad, dont call me because I am going to tell you I TOLD YOU SO!!"

I would pay a homeless guy to wait in line for my PS3
Thursday. 11.16.06 8:38 pm
That is what some people have done. They have decided to pay homeless people to camp out in front of a target store to purchase a ticket to buy their ps3.

"A truck rolls up, one of those U-Haul type trucks, and seriously, 50 people rolled out, and he says they got them from the homeless shelter," Rosatti said.

Later the truck that dropped them off comes back to drop off food for the homeless men. They plan to pay the men $100 a day to stand in line for a ticket to purchase a PS3 unit that costs around $600.

Dog on the Catwalk?
Thursday. 11.30.06 11:20 am

I have lived to see it all. They are coming out with designer clothes for dogs. This is so ridiculous! Word on the street is that the key to success is "humanization". That is to make the pets more like humans. To do this, entrepanurals are designing clothes to humanize dogs. How much will this cost you? Lets take a look.

Sweaters like those modeled by doggie mannequins in the window average about $50, or $129 for an upgrade to cashmere. Christmas shoppers can find a leash ($69), a monogrammed collar ($54), a leather pet carrier ($170 to $850), booties ($35 for the two pair), "hound hiking boots" ($79), or a "Furrari" bed designed like a sports car (why chase one if you can sleep in one? -- $249).

AND TO THINK, PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY BUYING THIS STUFF!!!

Saturday. 12.9.06 9:29 am
I want to dedicate the next few posts to homemade christmas gift ideas. I have been looking up some recipies and I would like to share them with the Nutang community.

Soda Cracker Chocolate Candy

This one looks yummy and simple.

Original recipe yield:

PREP TIME 15 Min
COOK TIME 10 Min
READY IN 25 Min

* 1 1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts

DIRECTIONS

1. Line a 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan with foil and coat with nonstick cooking spray. Place crackers in rows on foil. In a saucepan, melt butter; add the brown sugar and bring to a boil. Boil for 3 minutes. Pour over crackers and spread until completely covered. Bake at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes (crackers will float). Remove from the oven. Turn oven off. Sprinkle chocolate chips and walnuts over crackers. Return to the oven until chocolate is melted, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from the oven; using a greased spatula, press walnuts into chocolate. Cut into 1 in. squares while warm. Cool completely; remove candy from foil.

I got kicked out TWICE in the same night
Monday. 3.26.07 3:54 am
I went out tonight and had a great time. Now it was time to eat!! Other than dessert, dinner is the best time of the night. I know! Get a life! So anyway... My bff and my daughter and I go to Lucky Strike. It is a nice restaurant with some bowling lanes and good food. We walk up and the guy says that after 7pm you need to be 21 to get in. I got rejected and turned out!

So we now decide to go downstairs to PF Changs. They have good chinese-american food; nice ambiance and linen. So we all order tea and get our own teapot. It was really nice. We order our food then this loud siren goes off and lights are flashing. No, we did NOT win a prize. That was the fire alarm. We thought that maybe someone didnt want to pay their bill so that pulled the alarm.
Shortly after that, the manager comes over and tells us that there was a fire in the kitchen and they cannot cook anything else for the rest of the night. So sorry for us... we will have to leave. WHAT?? We are getting kicked out again!? This is the second time in the same night. Now where are we going to eat? Maybe someone was trying to tell us something!? We were lucky enough to get 10 each to come back on another night and we did not have to pay for the tea.

I have been rejected before but not twice in the same night! ha ha! That was just too much. We ended up at a Yakitori place and we had nice meal. Everything turned out just fine!
