My winter break so far in a nutshell:

- Exhausted myself from running around for three days buying presents.
- Exhausted myself from preparing for the Christmas party at my house.
- Exhausted myself so much that I got sick a few days after Christmas.
- Tried to rest, but ended up exhausting myself leading up to New Year's Eve because two of my aunts flew in from Hawaii.
- Coughed up a lung on New Year's Day.
- Got a little better.
- Exhausted myself being a taxi driver for my mom and her sisters.
- Exhausted myself by wildly flailing my arms to keep myself afloat amidst this flash flood of colon cancer literature.

Any guesses as to how the next week is going to go? I'm betting on being thoroughly exhausted.

Hope your holidays were far better than mine.

Saturday night party.

"Call on Me"? What--is it 2004 already!?

It sounds like a fucking gay club next door... Well, I just need to make it through tonight's aural assault and then I'm on my way hoooooome for a few weeks!

First thing's first, though: LAUNDRY SORT!

RELIEVED. AND HAPPY.

I officially have myself a neat little 4.0 GPA!!! It's like a Christmas/birthday present I bought for myself with hard work!

(Though, in all honesty, cash might have been a better gift...)

Apparently, the class as a whole BOMBED the physio final. The average on the test (which defines the B/C cut-off in the way our professor makes her curve) was 131/200. I ended up with a respectable 177/200, so I think I got more of those "iffy" questions right than I thought I would (thank god).

I feel so much better now. Coming out of that test, I was pretty badly shaken. But now everything's set in stone and I can get on with making all my preparations for the holidays without being haunted by that damn physio grade!

One last thing.

There's an assignment I have to do. I'm probably going to half-ass it. Well, half-half-ass it: I'm probably going to take it seriously until midnight, then turn in whatever I have around noon-ish just to have it over and done with. It's not like it matters too much how well I do it. It is a pass/fail course after all...

Things I need to do before I leave San Diego for three weeks on Sunday:

- Clean up the apartment. (Majorly.)
- Do the laundry. (Lots of it.)
- Pack up my clothes. (Most of them.)
- Remember to take my plants home. (Wouldn't want them to die.)
- Gift wrap the gifts I didn't buy online and ship directly to the house in San Jose. (Just two.)
- Sign up at the post office for forwarding service for my mail.

I'm almost certain I've forgotten something, but I'm too frazzled to figure out just what right now.

Oh fuck, I just forgot what else I was going to type. (I fail.)

PHYSIO IS OVER!
Tuesday, December 16, 2008 @ 3:04 pm
For which I am glad...

But...

Fuck.

Well, the only consolation I have is that the class is graded on a curve, and since a ton of other people were also complaining about how hard it was, I still have a very slim chance that I'll pull out with a coveted "A."

:( and also >{ or whatever the hell people emoticon these days to express displeasure.

Poop jokes.

The mind wanders off the beaten path when fatigued. When studying the gastrointestinal tract, the tendency for the mind to wander is dangerous and can derail all serious studying, causing one to effectively lose one's shit.

Seriously, though? I just spent the last 10 minutes thinking about poops and farts and I couldn't stop laughing. Nap time?

...I am officially 1/3 of the way to my goal of 4.0 for this semester.

Next step: conquering Human Physiology. Doing well on the studying so far, I guess... I might even have time for a fair round of sleep.

Finals mode is full effect.

I'm sleeping in my living room.

My books are strewn across the floor.

The dishes are piling into fragile mountains in the sink.

I'm running out of underwear, but laundry is positively out of the question at this point.

Despite this...

I shall emerge victorious.

If not dirty as fuck.
