Warm Bodies
Sunday. 3.3.13 11:50 pm
So, we went on saw "Warm Bodies", today. Our oldest sister was in town as so we all went as a family. I really liked the movie. It's like... the perfect date movie. There is love and romance and... well- Zombies. How much cooler can you get than that, right? I mean, all that romantic tension between the guy and the girl for the girls and all that action tension between a living human being and a zombie for the guys. And there's a little bit in the end for everyone, too. ;) But I won't spoil it for you.

It does make me think, though... I don't actually own a lot of movies that I really like... Like Fluke, for instance. I love that freaking movie, but I don't own it. And 500 Days of Summer (best post-breakup movie of all time)... well, we have that one around, but I don't own it.

I want to make a list, you know, of all the quirky favorites I have:

Best Guy-Girl Date Movie Compromise: Warm Bodies
Best Post-Breakup Movie: 500 Days of Summer
Best Romantic Movie for All Stages of Life: Don Juan DeMarco
Grossest Movies: Naked Lunch
Worst Movie of All Time: The Korean (it's COMPLETELY unwatchable... No, seriously. It isn't even campy. There are probably millions equally as bad cohabiting the bottom of the barrel, but they are also not worth watching).
... I'll have to think of more.

So what about you? What is in your own personal list of 'best ofs'

Got some new tunes fer mai iPawd!
Saturday. 3.2.13 11:20 am
So, I got some more music yesterday. I decided that I needed some more pop music, so I went onto the Rollings Stones website for best music for this year, listened to all of the songs and picked my favorites! ... which was mostly because I didn't know the name of the song. Here they are:

Kid names
Friday. 3.1.13 10:09 pm
I think... we all secretly have names for our children planned out. I for one have two girls names:

Nancy
Sonya

Honestly, all the Nancys and Sonyas I have ever met have been really cool people, so... why not.

Breeder Pages
Friday. 3.1.13 12:13 am
I have to say, breeders really go whole hog for tacky websites.Look at Gemini Pomeranians, that child singing in the background is almost as good as those creepy spinning dolly displays in people's yard's at Christmas. Literal much, harts afire kennels? And you have to see that adorable mini aussie gif at the bottom of this page. You rarely see anybody spare any expense with the wooden background. You've got to think they like it that way, though. I mean, even the pictures of the dogs have little stuffed animals stuck in there. In some ways, it's kind of cute. After all, dog people are the only people who get to use tacky dog stuff. Tacky away dog breeders!

Coding and Computing
Thursday. 2.28.13 12:11 pm

When I first saw this movie on facebook, I thought "Zuckerberg..." But it is actually a really good video that kind of backs up all the things that I have been thinking recently. I don't know how to freaking code and it's the one thing holding me back from being a 'computer person'. Now, I'm not saying that I don't know how to write in HTML and CSS and a little JAVA and if I looked at it long enough, I couldn't open up PHP and make a few careful edits to steal an automatic mailing form. So, I guess you could say that I can code, I'm just not very good at it.

Just in the same way that I am perfectly able to test a headset, but sometimes I miss the fact that it isn't plugged in. Or that I don't miss the fact that the headset was unplugged in the first place because it was... broken. I know how to turn off a computer and turn it back on. I know how to read DOS command codes well enough to follow some simple instructions, but I don't "know" it, and that is what's frustrating, because these guys are right. Computing is the closest thing that we have to today to super powers. We can make apps, websites, games, whatever, and all we need to know is to be patient. So why can't I- Ooo! Squirrel!

::3 hours later::

That said, I wish I had some kind of mentor to help me figure this stuff out. I've been doing a little research on X-code (the programing language for apps that is much like python *apparently*) and it is only available for mac... but I have a PC *great*. I could try programming things for droid, I guess... or learning python, but after watching all my friends spend hours upon hours making tic-tac-toe games for their computing classes... well either they're stupid or programming is freaking hard. Anyway... of I go try and figure out how to code.

Ridiculous dogs
Wednesday. 2.27.13 1:00 pm
So... in the deep future when I have both money and time, I am going to get myself a minature australian shepherd/american shepherd. However, as that is a long way off, I have been entertaining fancies of fluffy purse dogs. Right now, I am splitting my love between pomeranians and apricot poodles.

1.) Pomeranian

2.) Apricot Poodle

Ooo, ooo! And I could get two Poms (a boy and a girl) and call them Marsha and Mellow and then I could be like, "Masha, mellow!" Yeah... really fast... all together. Ha, ha! You're picking up what I'm putting down.
