My Cinco ce Mayo
Monday. 5.7.07
Saturday, May fifth, two thousand seven

I had spent the night at my friend Angie's house, so I was on her couch-bed [...thing] when I woke up Saturday morning. We had Burger King for breakfast [yummy sausage/bacon/etc. croissanwich!]. After watching Encino Man, I went home to get ready for a dance performance with my sister and other girls in my class at a local nursing home.

At the nursing home, I didn't think I performed too well, but everyone said we looked good. [Except for this part where another girl and I ran into eachother - there was cramped space. It was hard to do everything as it was...]

When we got home, my older brother Isaac came over and helped my sister string her guitar with new strings. When he was finished with that, we all [my little brother Donald, sister Natalie, Isaac, Mom, and I] went to see Spider-Man 3. (It's supposed to be hyphenated, just so you know . . .)

The movie was very good, I thought. It was a good "third" movie. (There should never be any more than three installments to a movie series. Even two is pushing it sometimes...)
One of my favorite parts of seeing the movie was watching the trailors before the film started. That's always fun. And now I am very excited for Pirates of the Caribbean 3 to come out, so I can watch it and for it all to be over already! POTC was fun and all, but I'm not so sure how great POTC3's gonna be. I should at least have fun watching all the action and special effects. We'll see...

After the movie, we went home and mom cooked up some sloppy joes for us [since we didn't really eat dinner]. mmm-mmmm! I'm making myself hungry just thinkin' about it. =P
It wasn't until about this time that someone mentioned that it was Cinco de Mayo. That was when it actually hit me - It's Cinco de Mayo! I had totally forgotten. Even when a girl told me as I left the nursing home earlier that day, "Happy Cinco de Mayo!", it still didn't register. I had the mindset that it was still the fourth. Crazy craziness. I guess you kind of lose track of your normal sense of time when you've spent the night at someone else's house. It probably didn't help that I'd been super busy all day Friday as well as Saturday, so that didn't leave much time to think about what day it was. Oh well.
But I did have my (virgin) strawberry daiquiri Friday afternoon when I was out with some friends. I would have had a piña colada, but I don't like the strong pineapple taste so much... But my daiquiri was quite yummy!

So that's the story of my Cinco de Mayo. Or lack thereof.

  Â¡Buenos dias/noches!

Good evening...
Saturday. 4.28.07
watching: Dracula - The Legacy Collection

I just finished watching this Dracula movie collection I got from the library.
  It includes:

Dracula
Dracula's Daughter
Son of Dracula
House of Dracula

With all this Dracula stuff running around in my head, I feel like a vampire expert. At least of the Draculian kind.

And yes, I sat and watched all four in a row, all at once. It was just my mom and I sitting on the couch in the living room watching Dracula and his descendants fight to conquer as Van Helsing and others snooped around looking for bodies to put stakes through.

P.S.
New layout!
