stoned
Tuesday. 5.27.08 1:05 pm
just something quick...

Straits Times news...Sharon Stone raises S$13.6m for Aids research

and then just a turn of head, the buddhist convert went on to say this when asked about the earthquake :

"It's very interesting. I'm not happy about the way the Chinese are treating the Tibetans because I don't think anyone should be unkind to anyone else.....And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened and I thought is that karma? When youre not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

i seriously think she screwed up big time man, not the holy Dalai Lama ( if hes even her friend) or even the most expensive PR can save her this time. On a brighter side, sharon i believe has just created the most classic dumb blonde joke of the century.

not sure anyone know of the blogger FragrancePrince incident, im not gonna link his blog here because hes actually my poly sch mate and we studied a few exams together last time. Although i cant tolerate racist, i believe he prolly just hit enter without thinking of the consequences while posting that entry...anyway the thing is he apologized and feels remorseful, i hope folks ard will give him another chance...and that hes coping well at the moment.

ppl do screw up at times....

peace
Wednesday. 5.21.08 1:35 pm
im back from KL (again) and i think im going to be sick...

the stupid weather is so damn hot i feel like so freaking pek chek.

once i step out my makeup melts like m&ms, my hair sticks around my sweaty neck and i just wanna rip the whole hair off my head. i swear alot get igitated easily and even got fustrated today when the person in front fumble to find his ezylink to get on the bus. (cant you be faster so i can be freaking air-conditioned!?)

hot weather makes ppl violent...the newly published global peace index ranking for 2008 just proven this point.

noticed all the cooler countries are more peaceful, we have no 1 iceland follow by denmark, norway new zealand....and vice versa the bottom fews goes to the hottest continents...

i know its mad but i took a day off after KL and i actually went super hot sentosa yesterday, yea i wanted to go underwater world since the last time i went was more than 10 yrs ago.

i reckon i wont be going there for the next 10 yrs until they renovate, the place is the DA SAME. the glass turning abit yellowish, the fishes looks bored and overweight, the finishing/painting of most tank enclosure are wearing off. the moving escalators gives off a screechy sound, it feels like a 3rd world country aquarium to me. geez im so bad...blame the weather...

uploaded some pics from yesterday, will post KL pics in the next post

Humanity has been in my mind lately

humanity : The condition or quality of being human - dictionary.com

been seeing really disturbing news recently like the austria incest case (totally disturbing) the hk minced meat murder case, the malaysia rape case (father attempting rape on son's gf but ending up killing her) the distastrous cyclone that kill 20,000 in myanmar because they weren't given enough notice for evacuation from the authorities, aid to the victims from all around was stopped due the reluctance of the rigid military ruled country to accept direct aid from outsiders. if thats nt enough the government continue to hold its polling instead concentrating on giving aid to the affected areas, victims also claims they were given tv sets. disgusting.

few nights ago i caught the rawanda genocide documentary on history channel, one of the worst mass killing after the cambodia massacre in the 1990s. this prolly sets me thinking...

is humanity born or taught? With the current level of education people should know what is right and wrong, right? I believe the media plays a very important part in this and yes humanity is definitely taught.

The current media are ever so hungry for 'crazy' news, shocking and appalling news gets the headlines, they increase readerships, and if a person sees this in a daily basis for a really long period of time, does it make one or two people to think killing and torturing a human being is normal? are movies turning more violent? where many die senselessly and one start to disregard death. are ordinary people who become psychopath born this way? is that the adverse side of excess information in advanced countries?

How about the results of lack of information, people from 3rd world countries never have enough information and media exposure to know what is happening around them and most importantly on what is human rights, they end up believing wars and dying is a way of life and accept it without questioning the government. they also get brainwashed easily by leaderships bastards hungry for power causing civil war within.

suddenly i didn't feel its funny when contestants from Miss Universe always hope for world peace in their Q&A.

what can we do at our end, we who are not the rich, powerful, famous or even won Miss Universe?

i think we can play our part by knowing who we are and sharing what we know is right. never think just one me will never make any difference, a person can makes a difference if ten persons start thinking the same way. (im really not preaching here) for example telling your husband, wife, children, siblings by to be respectful to their maids, thanking the auntie who cleans your office every morning, or avoid making a mess with your food after your meal, its just the basic respect for the person who is going to clean your table, by keeping up with current news and highlighting those worthy of some after-thots to others who dont read newspapers is also a form of social responsibility.

i can really go on and on about humanity but its not something i can put into words or even cover in just a blog entry, im not even sure what i wrote holds any weight to the heavy topic ive touched

but i believe im not alone in playing my part as a good samaritan in our daily lives.

it might start with an action really small...but its always a beginning.
