So my birthday starts with me spraining my ankle 15 minutes into it! Which is great since I'll be working 9.5 hours tonight and then moving the next two days. But I bought a nice brace which is helping ease some of the pain so it should be not-so-bad.
We went to work today and it looks like we've managed to work out schedules with the help of two of our workers so that we should get more time to move stuff than we'd thought and Chad will get a ton more rest than we thought which will help us of course. I feel badly that Erica is working two doubles (overnight third shift and then the morning shift til 2pm, go to sleep for 8 hours and then do it again) which will be tougher for her than it is for us when we do it because she has a 4 year old son. But she's happy that she'll work only 3 days this week and then be off until Monday. We appreciate it very much as it helps ease things a bit for us.
If you'd like to give me a "birthday present" please hop over to
www.myspace.com/etheracide, listen to the two songs that we have up and leave song comments on them! Once people start leaving comments...more people are likely to do the same. Thanks to anyone in advance that tries this. =0)
Well I gotta eat then shower and shave before I head back to work. Have a great day...I am trying to!

So tomorrow is my birthday which is awesome although it should be much like any other day. I work 2-10pm tonight so I'll be home around 11. I wake up at 6a to drive to work to get Chad and make breakfast sandwiches. Then I come home and pack to move for about another three hours. Then I shower and head in to work 2-10pm. I'll have about an hour left of my birthday when I get home from work. But I'll need to fall asleep shortly after my birthday ends at midnight because Lord knows how busy Tuesday will be....
Tuesday I wake up at 6am to go get Chad. I'll be buying 4 or 5 pizzas for Tuesday and Wednesday which will help us make our numbers for the day which is also good. I'll make two of them to bring them home for those that help us. This depends upon our paychecks clearing the bank Tuesday morning. Then we'll need to hit a beverage store to pick up some cases of beer for anyone that helps us move those two days. And then we pick up the truck.
We stop at Chad's mom's place to get his bed and a few other pieces of furniture for his room. We'll come back here and Chad will nap for a few hours whilst I take down everything that I can carry down alone. I'll wake up Chad whenever other help comes. We should be staying here on Tuesday night and then take the truck down on Wednesday to unload it. May drive it down on Tuesday night and spend the night there but I am not sure there'd be any place to park the truck. One thing I hate about the town is how it was built and that people parking on both sides of three street literally turns two-way streets into one-way streets because only one person can fit at a time. But maybe I can drive it down and park it long enough to get the beds out so that we can sleep and move the truck to another block and then pull it around on Wednesday night. But honestly I am going to be so incredibly exhausted... I think the first week after we move I'm not doing a damned thing! Although my mom is taking me out for my birthday dinner on Saturday and there will be a band practice in there somewhere.
Last night we played our first gig together and it was soo FUCKING amazing. The energy. The response after each song. People congratulating and thanking us afterwards. Half of them told us to let them know when we're playing another show in the area which was great. They're adding us as friends on our myspace profile so they'll know when we play. Also, our demo is complete! And two of the three songs are available from
here so listen and comment on our player =0)
I've been made the Safety Manager at my station which means a small raise for now which will just about cover the Philadelphia wage tax we'll get hit with now that we're moving into city limits. But it's still cool. And two of the 'problem workers' have been removed one way or another thankfully. All of our sales numbers are flying!
Well it's time to try to scrounge up something to eat before I shower and head in to work. Have a great day. And Happy Memorial Day.
