I really wish people would stay on campus. I have to stay and when that happens and mike doesn’t come up I am all alone because everyone at Towson goes home on the weekends. Kind of sucks. But I can’t really do anything to change that. I feel like I have a lot of things happening all at the same time and it’s a little over whelming. I hate classes that have large out of the class projects because I don’t have the time or energy to do them well.
The thing that is bothering me the most is the fact I don’t know some of my residents the older ones stay in their rooms and don’t come out and I swear I have only seen some of them once or twice. One even works down in the office and I didn’t know until we got in the elevator together. I think that is just sad and I am failing at being an RA but I can’t force them to come to programs and I knock and most of the time those doors never open and it’s a annoying because I try really hard and the only people that seem to be benefiting from everything are the freshmen on the floor.
New Thought
I decided to place a condom box on the all outside of my door for my residents. Because they arte free at school but the health center is on the other side of campus I thought it would be easier for them if they were right here. I put it up at around 10ish and when I walked out of my room this morning at 945 all of the condoms were gone, I put a lot out so I think that had something to do with it. So today I put 10 out this way I will be able to see how many I am giving out. But I still found it funny to think of someone grabbing a crap load of them like they had never seen a condom before.

So today I had my second biology lab of the semester. What an experience that was, not only to I officially hate biology; I can’t stand the little freshman who sits in front of me. My teacher is the graduate assistant and walked into class wearing little jean shorts. I believe that if you are teaching a class you should look like a teacher not, like you just got out of the car from Ocean City.
Then she just begins the class with some sort of mini quiz about the class we had….2 weeks ago!! I was really annoyed about that. Then we jump right into the lab and I was totally lost she was throwing out terms left and right. I had to stop her and explain that I was a sophomore and I haven’t taken biology since my freshman year in high school MANY years ago. So I had no idea what the hell she was talking about and I was a little…who am I kidding I was more lost them Moses was in the desert.
Anyway so I muddle through the class thinking that scientists suck because they have to have their own language and if you aren’t fluent you can’t get through basic biology. When I do figure out the microscope it takes me the rest of class to see anything swimming on the slide. Why?? I will try to explain it to you. Do you ever have that time when you are relaxing your eyes or you are focusing really hard on something, and suddenly a little organism floats through your vision???? AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO SEE’S THESE??????? I know I am not because I talked about it in Psychology. It’s just like litter pieces of I don’t know your eye crap floating through your line of sight.
Well I tried to explain this to my lab group….two of the girls kind of understood what I meant if not they were very polite about it. Well this hippie b*tch in front of me with yellow dread locks and hemp jewelry looked at me like I was an alien from goodness knows where, and serious as a heart attack asked me, “What kind of crack have you been smoking?!” And the face she made…it was unreal like I had just shown her photos of dead kittens or something.
I was totally thrown off by her behavior and shut my mouth for the rest of class. Apparently she is some bio goddess because she just took AP Bio last year so all of these stuff is a piece of cake for her. She also wants to dissect something…okay I took think class because I knew we wouldn’t be dissecting things….ick. She totally ruined my day and I now really really dislike her because she is a mean know it all hippie jerk face.

I think certain people really suck. I mean... how can you be "friends" with someone all through high school, then live with them your entire 1st year at college. And then just totally ignore them?? I just couldn't be that kind of person. She is coming up here for a club meeting (which i think is weird, since she isn't a student at the moment) and told colleen and didn't even think to tell me?
What am i supposed to think of that?! She messaged her; what? It would have taken too much keyboard hitting for her to copy and paste the same message to me?! It's pointless to be friends with someone who obviously doesn't want to be friends in return. I did a lot for her in school and she doesn't want to be my friend now because i can't give her anything. Except friendship. It's B.S.!
I shouldn't even be getting upset because it's obvious that she thinks of our friendship as non-existent so screw her. I am deeply offended and hurt that someone i once considered a dear friend was faking it the entire time.

However on a positive note, i just got my first quiz of the year back, and i got an A. So i am glad i am off to a good start, at least in my history class. He said he was going to write all over them and tell us how to do better and all that jazz. But there wasn't anything written on my paper. Just check marks and Good Job at the top. I wish he has written something i could do; i guess history papers are just easy like that though.

Why?????????? I can't understand why in this day and age anyone would pick up this foul habit. I can understand grandparents because when they were our age the effects of smoking weren't really known. NOW however, knowing that smoking is just committing slow suicide why would you start?
My friend started. She said it was only when she drank, but now it is a regular habit. She smoked b4 and after lunch and i wanted to gag. I hate the smell of it; it reminds me of my grandmother and her oxygen tank she pulls around with her while she is smoking. I believe she is going to explode. One day she isn't going to wait long enough between her puff from her cigarette, puff of inhaler, & puff of oxygen. It's like a little routine she has and i think it is the dumbest thing ever. No that isn't true the dumbest thing ever is the fact she is dying and we are all watching this unfold. And at the same time she is smoking her daughter, son, and grandson, all light one up to smoke with her. I think it is gross, sick, and twisted.
The other thing i hate about smoking is that i can't get away from it. After i left my friend after lunch i was marching up a steep hill to get to one of my classes on time and who was i stuck behind??? A sorority girl with flip flops, a big ugly bag, big bug glasses, and a cigarette. It was like she was blowing the smoke right at me. And of course i couldn't get around her because between her and her suitcase of a purse she was taking up the entire sidewalk. To the left was a very steep hill and to the right was a very busy road. SO i was stuck sucking it hazardous fumes because miss, ra ra shish coom ba needed her chemical fix. yuck.......................

I was very sad last night when i was going on rounds and saw that someone had stolen a decoration from my floor and put in on their own door. Then when i can back to my floor i saw that all the things i had put on my lounge door looked a little off. That was because someone had taken at least 3 things off of it and i have no idea where they went. It upsets me because i paid for the decorations the school didn't and i don't see why someone wanted to steal a jelly fish, scuba diver, and seahorse off the door. Then to top it off i put a lot of work into my posters and i saw someone messing with the balloons when i came home from class, and they left one on the floor.
We are in college why would you want to ruin a poster that was put up to help you, and when you live on the same floor as the person who made it. It's disheartening it was it is. It makes me not want to work hard to make the floor nice if people are just going to turn around and ruin everything i do. It's just crappy.

I have a journal on my computer but I use it mostly to rant about my feelings. I might end up doing that here too, but at least people can give me feed back on this site.
I am in my second year at Towson University. The most annoying thing about College I would have to say is all the people who drink and then put all their photos on the internet. When did it become cool t drink? Honestly who can't consume a beverage?? Is it somehow cool to act like an idiot and then not remember what they did the next day?
Don't get me wrong I don't think drinking is wrong, that doesn't bother me at all. It is drinking for the purpose of getting totally wasted. Why would that be fun? How is barfing all over yourself or someone else is entertaining? I really hope it catches up with all the idiots around me who do this. I mean...where is the fun in that? How many nights have people lost and will never be able to get back because they drank so much they don't remember the night before.
If people do drink and get wasted, but why brag about it they next day in class? And why post photos all over the internet. That just seems like something people should keep to themselves. People don't realize that all those sites they post photo's on can be viewed by school's and employers and yet they still continue to post horrid photo's of themselves. I think it is very degrading to the person in general.
