We folded so many of the SCS Nakamura Lock Paper Plane that we can fold without looking at the instruction! My furthest record is only about 15m, a far cry from the record made so far: 38.4m!!! If you are keen to give it a try, watch the video below and learn how to fold the plane. each folded plane is entitled to a single throw. By participating, you are also helping to increase the number of planes for the largest plane display world record :) ![]() ![]() Comment! (0) | Recommend! Big Houses, Weird Transportations and a Rare Treat! Tuesday. 3.3.09 9:33 pm The host we stayed with has a really large house: 6 large bedrooms, 1 large study room, 1 medium activity room, 1 medium dining room, 1 large dry kitchen and 1 medium wet kitchen and 1 super large living room that can fit a grand piano easily. we visited 2 other houses which are also gigantic in size too! one even has a mini-cinema hall where there are 8 grand theater seats (with sliding function to put up your legs and with cup holders!). Decided to post only one non-obvious photo of their houses here for privacy and security sake. I'll leave the rest to your imagination! :) ![]() meanwhile, here are some interesting pictures that I took: ![]() This is a tricycle! ![]() This is a jeepsie, modified extension of an american military jeep! ![]() I saw a rare model of AE86 from Initial D! ![]() How about riding on a horse carriage instead? ![]() How about a flying dead lizard for a treat? Tuesday. 3.3.09 1:35 am When we reached Manila International Airport at about 430am, A and K (from the local church in Manila) were already waiting for us to board a bus to Punta Fuego, to a private village where they own a large beach house with jacuzzi and the back door of the house leads right next to a private beach. Just swim a few strokes out and you will reach a living coral reef with different species of fishes swimming around you! For the first time, our whole family tried the banana boat (good thing they did not purposely capsize us into the sea!) and I tried the jet ski with my wife and ekklesia! Ariel like the jet ski so much that she went twice with others! it was a scary but exciting experience to be speeding across the waves of the open sea! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comment! Tuesday. 2.24.09 10:26 pm what you can see is not as real as what you cannot see. man-made things only have perceived value (e.g. fiat currency), God-created things have intrinsic value (e.g. gold). ok, off we go to Manila for a short trip! :) see ya next week! I'm hoping to migrate to the 'B' and 'I' quadrants so that I can reach financial freedom earlier. I have 3 business ideas in my mind right now - one in food business, one in investment business, one in education business. I just finished writing the proposal for the food business idea! God willing, I hope to start a little cafe with my family and friends! :) As for the investment business, my friend and I are drafting out the model and if we can find the right sources, this business would definitely help others to grow their money profitably, safely and passively! As for the education business, I'm hope the idea can help another family and my parents to have a stable source of income and a nice place to stay! Praying hard for a breakthrough! Comment! Wednesday. 2.18.09 11:41 pm some people, issues, conversations that i encountered set me asking why. why do people like to cling on to their jobs when it's the least stable thing to do? don't they know that they can lose it any time and venturing out can be far better? why do people worry so much about things that may happen but has not happened? don't they know that the future is not cast in stone yet and we can take it as it comes? why do people have such short-sightedness on how they should live their lives? don't they know that planning for eternity, for their destiny after death, is far more important than their lives now? why do teenagers detest listening to their parents (especially mother's) advice (nagging)? don't they know that it will stop if they just bother to listen and make the good-sense (instead of non-sense) out of it? why do teenagers like to play the blame game (it's all because of my parents, the school system, my teachers, my siblings, my friends and not admit that they have a part to play too when things go wrong? don't they know they are responsible for their own lives and they are not mere victims of circumstances? I guess they don't know. i guess they don't agree. i guess they don't bother. I guess that's WHY. Comment! (0) | Recommend! | Categories: life [t], why [t] |
