For the "fucking bastards" entry the password is a number. The number of voices in my head.

For the "Whore" entry the password is the official name of my first hamster. Now I called him a lot of things but the name I'm looking for is also the name of his father. . . (this should help weed out all of the ppl that don' pay attention- you guys are undeserving )

For the "I think he likes me" entry all you need to know is what my favorite drink is. All lower case if it matters. For those that know me this should be easy. And for those of you that actually saw this little module, props to you too for checking out the whole page.
Day Two
Sunday. 1.3.10 10:28 pm
Last night we had dinner with the Russians and some Russian coworkers of theirs in downtown Mtn View. Afterwards we went dancing at the buddah lounge. It turned out to be a lot of fun actually. I got started on some of my goals by picking up Love in the Time of Cholera by Garcia Marquez and ordering some good running shoes and cross trainers online.

Went to see Lee's parents today too. Same as usual. I sit and read while Lee fixes something with the computer and his parents make food for us.

Started to refine my goals and organize them by category. I decided to break some of them down into more manageable tasks. It already seems like a lot and I'm only halfway to my 101 goals.

101 Goals in 1001 Days
Saturday. 1.2.10 9:19 pm
I came across someone's blog about 101 goals in 1001 days and I started reading it. I started clicking along and reading other people's goals. I found some that I had accomplished myself and others that I have yet to accomplish. So I've started my own list. It's not finished yet and nowhere near organized but it is a start. I'm not sure when I should officially start this personal experiment - when I have all my goals in order or as soon as possible. But seeing as the purpose of this list is to get things done I think yesterday 01/01/2010 is/was an appropriate day to take on new challenges.

I'm a little disappointed because so far, of the people (friends) I've told about my 101 goals, no one has been particularly excited or even encouraging. I asked Lee if he would like to make up a list as well and gave him a bunch of suggestions but he is very uninterested. I think he thinks its gimmicky and not something I will stick to in the long run. I guess I will just have to lead by example!

The Job Hunt
Thursday. 7.23.09 12:51 am
I have never had to search for a job for this length of time. Since I started working in 2003, my longest unemployment has been 1 month. It has been exactly 2 months since I graduated and still no job prospects. None.

It would probably help if I knew what I wanted to do. Some of the more interesting postings I've seen include this gem: Animal Cremation in Gilroy.

I almost sent my resume.

why me?
Tuesday. 7.7.09 8:45 pm
1230 July 1 - Routine Deep Cleaning at the dentist.

July 2 - Notice small bumps & puffiness on the inside of my upper lip - slightly annoying but doesn't really bother me

10 am July 3 - Wake up to a severely swollen face, lymph nodes swollen and sensitive to the touch, puffed lips and hundreds of those little bumps lining the cheeks inside my mouth. Needless to say I rushed to my dentist to check it out. Diagnosis: Its an allergy to something we used during the deep cleaning. Swish around some warm salt water and let me know how it goes. By the way - we've never seen this before (meaning: its you not us).

Noon - Pop 2 Benadryl in hopes of some good result. It's is certainly going to be a long weekend . . . End up sleeping the rest of the day.

July 4 - Against better judgement I drinks lots of wine and consume more deep dish pizza than is ever good for you. "Fuck you mouth! You're not going to ruin my 4th of July!" Can't stop biting my own cheeks. Small bumps move to the roof of my mouth.

July 5 - The pain is unbearable. I purchase a small, seamingly harmless tube of Orajel to ease the pain. I also notice whitish yellow coating my the back of my tongue. Thrush? Welcome to the party!

The thrush disgusts me so I fight through the pain and scrap it all off with my electric toothbrush. My tongue bleeds in defeat. And then stings me the rest of the night in defiance. Thrush doesn't like being removed. The Orajel doesn't last very long so I apply and reapply religiously. I will later regret this small relief from pain.

Side Note: I believe I am allergic to the Oral Rinse (Chlorhexidine Gluconate 0.12%) because that's the only new drugs I have been exposed to. I had my wisdom teeth taken out last November so it couldn't be the topical numbing agent Benzocaine.

July 6 - My cheeks and lips are swollen so much I look like a Jolie chimpanzee. Turns out I am allergic to the Benzocaine. Which worries me because I might be allergic to the other -caines as well . . . Novocaine, lidocaine , cocaine . . .

I see my physician immediately. She prescribes Nystatin for the Thrush, Hydroxyzine for the itchiness and two epipens just in case my throat closes up! Great.

July 7 - My face isn't nearly as swollen as it was before. The right side looks almost normal. My left still puffy. Thrush is back for a second round. Gums continue to peel.

However, my mouth has recruited my body in the war to make my completely miserable. Around 5 pm I notice red splotchy bumps on the inside of my arms, starting at the wrist and traveling up to my armpits. Guess I won't be wearing that spaghetti strap dress tonight.

I hate myself.

decision time
Monday. 6.15.09 2:30 pm
I've finally graduated. I have a degree. I don't have a job.

My only real option right now is an Americorp position working with Our City Forest, an organization that basically plants trees. They get paid near to nothing for their one year commitment. However it is an opportunity to work closely with the City and do a little networking that might be helpful in the future. I want to do it. I like the people, and the job, the cause and the method. But . . . I have a degree now. I'm 25 years old. This seems like something a recent high school grad would do. (Although most of the volunteers have degrees already.) Shouldn't I be bringing in the big bucks now?

I haven't worked in the past 10 months. In that time I've depended on my mom and bf to support me financially (and in emotionally). I think my time is up for fucking around. I think I need to find a real job that pays real money and work towards saving more for going back to school, buying a house, retirement and all the other things people need money for. Except of course I haven't found that job yet. Actually, I have found that job. They just haven't gotten back to me yet.

Some companies say it takes up to 6 months for my application to be processed! What am I suppose to do until then?

Worst yet, my bf says I don't need to find a high paying job. I should just do what makes me happy. That sounds nice and all but really it means I'm nothing and useless. If he buys a house, its his house. I'll live there but it isn't really our house. I want to contribute to this milestone. I want to have a stake in it as well. To feel like I earned it.

On the other hand - do I really want to buy a house at this stage in life? I want to travel more and live all over the world . . . One of the biggest factors in working for Americorp is that I want to do the Peace Corp as well, and Americorp is a great stepping stone.

Agh - I think what it comes down to is that I don't really know what I want to do next. But I feel like I have to make a decision soon. Very very soon
