How to Set a Goal in 6 Easy Steps
Monday, March 12, 2007

We’ve all set goals in our lives, some have been accomplished, and others have been broken. Although a number of variables plays a part in whether or not a goal is achieved, a sound goal setting process is integral to creating the momentum required to succeed. Regardless of what your current short term and long term goals are, in order to achieve them you need to have set them in a manner that will guarantee your success. These are the ‘six Ps’ that will teach you how to set a goal you will always achieve.

1. Be Precise

Your goals need to be precise. How much money do you want to make in your business over the next year? Where do you want to be with your career in five years? What countries do you want to visit over the next few years? You need to know exactly what it is you want to achieve. More importantly you also need to set a deadline for when this goal must be accomplished. Without this time component there is no sense of urgency to achieve the goal, and you might just compromise by thinking you’ve got plenty of time left, only to realise that the opportunities to progress have passed you by. You must know exactly what you want and when you will achieve the goal.

2. Know The Purpose

Once you know what your specific goal is, you must understand the purpose behind why you want to achieve this goal. Setting a goal to become a gazillionaire one day is nice and dandy and all, but if your reasons are not strong enough, then they will not get you through the difficult times where you need to fight just that extra bit to succeed. What are your reasons for achieving your goals? Why must you achieve this specific goal? Your reasons need to be emotional; they need to get your heart racing, your blood rushing, and your toes twiddling. In a word, they need to get you pumped! If that goal and the reasons for pursuing it don’t get you excited, then it isn’t something that you really want to achieve. It’s just something that seemed like a good idea. Make sure that the purpose behind your ambitions gets your adrenaline pumping each and every time. These first two steps alone will get you half way to achieving your goals, but by no means does that guarantee you will achieve them.

3. Always Be Positive

Your goal also needs to be said in a positive manner. Rather than setting goals like “I want to be financially free be the age of 30 so I don’t have to work for somebody anymore”, or “I will not lose money in this business this year”, or “I will not look like an idiot, again”, restate these goals in a positive light; instead say, “I want to be financially free by the age of 30 so I can play golf everyday and visit remote countries”, “I will make x-amount of money in the business this year”, and “I will show them how it’s done, yet again.” Give yourself the best possible chances of succeeding, by pursuing the goal with a positive attitude, rather than a limiting attitude.

4. Create Parts

Additionally when you set a goal it needs to be broken down into parts. Your goal is the end result, but what will get you from where you are now to where you want to be? You need to be able to set sub-goals and objectives over a shorter period of time, which will allow you to progressively achieve each aspect of your dreams. These are the checkpoints that you must pass through to ensure you reach your desired destination. If you want to become filthily rich through your business, you need to set a financial target for the end of the current year, the following year, and onwards, as well as the activities you will perform to acquire these riches you so desire.

5. Get It On Paper

Having to set a goal and keep it in your head can be a disastrous activity; we all have brain cramps from time to time, so you need to write your goals down on paper. There is something magical about writing your goals on paper; only about five percent of the adult population in most developed nations takes the time to write their goals down. If you are in this percentile, or you want to join in on the fun, you are setting yourself up for success. This small percentage of people who actually think deeply about their goals, and takes the time to write it down on paper are also the people who achieve great things in life. Make sure you are one of them.

6. Take Action In The Present

The final step you need to take in this goal setting process, which actually is more a beginning than a finale, is to take action in the present to move you towards your goal. After you’ve sat down, thought about your life, thought about your goals, thought about your dreams and ambitions, had a brain cramp or three, and managed to jot it all down on paper, you need to do something, anything, now, that will prove to yourself that you are serious about achieving this goal, and you will relentlessly pursue it until you achieve it. Do something right now to move you closer to where you want to be, and start to create that momentum that will take you towards your goal.

These six steps are integral to your success in setting a meaningful and achievable goal. You need to be precise with your goal and the purpose of achieving it. You need to be positive about your goal, and after you have broken the goal down into manageable parts, you need to take the time to write your goals down on paper. Once you have accomplished these steps, you must take the first of many actions to generate the momentum that ensures your success in achieving your goal.

Say it Loud and Proud: I Love Money!
Monday, March 12, 2007

http://howyoucanmakemoneyoninternet.blogspot.com

As a Law of Attraction coach, I encounter many people with negative, limiting ideas about wealth, almost as if money were something to be ashamed of! But what does money really represent in this world, except the freedom to live the life we desire and help others do the same?

To love money is to love freedom. To resent money is to resent freedom. And since freedom is a natural desire of all men and women, anyone who doesn't love and appreciate it is completely out of the "flow" of nature.

My point is simple: there is something wrong with people who don't love money (freedom). They are trying to fight nature-to go against the natural desire of all humans to live with greater freedom, and this never produces a good result. You can't fight nature; you can only go with its flow, and to the extent that you do, you will attract greater and greater abundance into you life.

There are a million crazy paradigms out in the world concerning money, and many people have blindly accepted these fallacies without giving them much thought. For example, in the part of the world I come from, saying that you "love money" would shock and even disgust some people! They consider money to be "dirty," "evil" or even a "sin."

These same people never think about that new state-of-the-art pediatric wing at their local hospital that cost more than 200 million dollars and was entirely donated by successful local business-people who loved and cherished money (freedom) enough to amass a huge quantity of it. Sometimes I wonder; do they think that people who hate money amass that kind of great wealth?

Likewise, they seldom consider the jobs that arrive in their community because someone loves money (freedom) and wants to open more and more businesses in order to increase their wealth (freedom). And I could go on and on (but I won't) with examples of ridiculous attitudes toward money and wealth.

The underlying point is that money is good. Money is worthy of your love, respect, gratitude and admiration. And when you honestly feel these emotions associated with money, it will come rushing into your life like an unstoppable force of nature--which is exactly what it is.

If you come from a background like mine, it may take some work on your part to begin seeing money as the amazing positive force of nature that it actually is, but you can start getting into the vibration of money by expressing gratitude and love for it--and do so unashamedly. Don't just "go through the motions." Get into the feeling-state of it by looking at all the great things money does in the world. You won't have to look very far.

You only get what you give in this world. If you don't love money, you can't expect money to love you.

Beyond Positive Thinking
Monday, March 12, 2007
http://guide-attract-women.blogspot.com

As a personal development coach, I do a lot of talking about positive thinking, and I know very well how important it is in changing your habitual way of thinking (and the results you are getting in life). But real change requires more than positive thinking. It requires "extreme repetition."

I've spoken before about going 'beyond positive thinking" and many people have emailed to ask about the best methods of staying in a positive state of mind, and how they can best help the process along.

One method that is very effective is to use affirmation programs that shift your state of mind and provide you with massive amounts of positive suggestion and commands. These definitely make a difference--I've used one for over ywo years now with great results.

The two most popular of these programs are Mindzoom, and Affirmware's Sculptor 3, both of which are great programs (I personally use Sculptor 3, but Mindzoom has it's fans too).

The real benefit of these programs is that they provide you with a relentless repetition of the "right" messages. The key word in that last sentence is "repetition," because that's what it's all about--relentless repetition.

Imagine being exposed to positive, affirming messages one day a week, and then back to the same of negative stuff the rest of the week. How much good is that really going to do you? Probably not much. Of course, it is better than nothing, but you're certainly not going to get the dramatic results you want.

Now imagine being exposed to positive, affirming messages six days a week, and the old negative crap only one day a week. Do you think your state of mind is going to be much, much better? Do you think your self-esteem and confidence would increase substantially? I guarantee you it will. "Repetition is the mother of all skill,"as the old saying goes. And it is just as true wityh posotve thinking as it is with riding a bike.

"What we are exposed to on a consistent basis is what we become."

Ever wonder why most criminals come out of prison worse than when they went in? Think about what they are exposed to on a consistent basis. It's common sense really: whatever you are are exposed to with extreme repetition WILL influence your life. The more repetition, the more influence it will have on you.

Take advantage of any and all positive information you can: software programs, positive books, audios, seminars, and of course, be around as many positive people as you can.

Remember, extreme repetition is how people change. Use every resource you can to get the "right ideas" into your head, and then repeat them relentlessly. If you use affirmations, repeat those relentlessly too. At a certain point, all this positive information will overwhelm your old, critical voice, and it'll fade away into the sunset.

Seduction by words

There are ways (= communication strategies) to achieve wanted results. These strategies apply to

* Salesmen
* Propaganda
* Dating
* any personal relationship

Following strategies are highly effective:

* If a person is asked 2 times (or more) a question and agrees 2 times then the person is more willing to agree to the 3rd question, too.

Example:

o John: "We are having fun, haven't we?"
Jane: "Yes"
John: "Do you want something to drink?"
Jane: "Yes"
John: "Hey, I know a nice cafe. Let's go there, shall we?"
Jane: "Yes".

* Don't ask often questions that can be answered with a simple "No". Even if it's a question like "Do you like Coca Cola?" it can produce a defensive attitude towards you.

* A person doesn't buy products because of obtrusiveness but because of honesty and sympathy. Thus you have to establish an "affinity line", e.g. "Hey, I have a cat, too".

* Leave her the freedom of choice or the illusion of freedom of choice. It's very good that the woman feels unpressured by you but instead thinks SHE is leading.

Generate Revenue With Text Link Ads
Friday, March 2, 2007

If you are looking for additional ways to make money from your blog, you should try Text Link Ads.

Text Link Ads network is compatible with contextual advertising such as Google Adsense or YPN (Yahoo! Publisher’s Network), so TLA will not violate those network’s terms of service.

At Text Link Ads, there are two ways to make money. One is by Affiliate banners and/or buttons and the other one is by Text links/ads.

The Affiliate banners and buttons promote Text Link Ads. You’ll be paid $25 for each successful referral. By successful, I mean either that a visitor results in a sale or gets accepted into their publisher program. This method is recommended if you have a site that has anything to do with earning money from.

The second method (Text links/ads) offers flat-rate monthly non-context sensitive text-only link ads to advertisers. Advertisers on a monthly basis purchase ads. The amount you will get is something around $15-$50 per link per month. Some sites are selling their links for $100. And once the ad link is sold, we get the income without worrying if it will be audited, fraudulent clicks or anything like that.

Earnings depend on several factors like where you place the ad block on your blog, whether you sell blocks on just one page or your entire site and how many text link ads you sell per block.

You can set the number of ads in your member’s control panel after you sign up. You can also choose to accept advertisers automatically or to be part of the acceptance process.

Payment is monthly, by check or Paypal. If you choose check, you need to reach $25 in a month, or payment gets rolled over to the next month. If you choose Paypal, there is no monthly minimum.

Payout is 50/50 on each ad sold for your site, which sounds high compared to other ad networks. However, because of the strategy used for Text Link Ads, lower-traffic sites that have trouble with contextual ad programs report making much more money with TLA.

How does it work?

Go to the Text Link Ads website, and sign up to be a publisher. It can take a few days to get your approval so be patient. You’re approved based on your site, its content, and traffic. Once you receive your approval, you get to configure your ads to your liking. You can choose how many ads you’d like to display, and whether they’ll appear on a single page on your site, or on the entire site.

Once you’ve made these decisions, you can customize the colors to match your site. After that, simply select your site’s blogging platform (Blogger, Wordpress…) and follow the instructions or you can add the link manually. You can, of course, request that you personally approve each link.

That’s it. Once your script is installed, your site is listed on the Text Link Ads website. You’ll get an email each time a link is sold, and your money can be deposited into your PayPal account or sent by check. Whatever the link is sold for you split 50/50 with Text Link Ads.
