Summer finale
Friday. 9.3.04 8:15 pm
My cousin Eva and her boyfiend Dennis from Cali came over to visit us. They are soo cooOOol! We showed them around Manassas in 1 day, since there isn't very much where I live soo we decided to visit Inner Harbor in Maryland. We rode on paddle boats, which is not really as fun as I thought it would be. I think it had something to do w/ us paddling the whole time without even taking a break. It felt more like a workout than fun. David barely paddled and he was the one that really insisted on riding. I guess that's what I get for shopping soo long on the boardwalk. We also headed up to Washington DC and visited a very Americanized China Town. The town has a Radio Shack, CVS, etc. and the stores would have the Chinese translation right next to the English name. DC also has a lot of artworks and nice stuff. We were suppose to be showing Dennis and Eva around, but they were showing us around. I was worried that summer would end with a bore since we weren't going anywhere, so I'm glad the brought the vacation to us.

Yoko minor league
Thursday. 8.26.04 11:47 pm
Today I went to the same baseball stadium I went 3 years ago. This time I didn't boo the home team since my brother was introduced with one of the left fielders in the beginning of the game. Aww.. how cute to watch him run out on the field and what a nice sister I am. Overall, the game was kind of dull since it was a minor league game. Potomac Cannons v. something Avalanche. 5 innings passed and the score was only 2-0. We were ducking from the foul balls in the majority of the game. This one kid tried to catch one of the balls, but it bounced off his glove and hit his little brother in the head. I felt so sorry for the poor boy until he looked down on his lap and cherished the foul ball that hit him on the face. It was amazing to see how proud that boy was. Beavis also scored at the baseball game. One of the Cannons ripped a Home Run and Beavis popped up on the scoreboard, waving his fist in the air and yelling, "score!" I love Beavis and Butthead.

I realize that I should probably work on my summer homework, but I can't seem to get myself to do it. Summer's coming to an end. Only 2 more years in high school till college. I have to honestly say I don't like high school, but I do know people that do. I don't know why, but since I'm in it right now, just going to make the best of it.

tired
Saturday. 8.21.04 5:08 pm
Interesting day. I was fighting off misquitoes while I was waiting 30 minutes in the rain for my ride. I was trying my best to concentrate on what Carolyn was saying on the cell, but I understood the word goober. Then, I went to martial arts. I was more tired than usual and my contacts were annoying me. It felt as if my contacts were pulling my eyelids wide open to match the Anime characters. Martial arts feels like a struggle especially when I can't keep up. Not being there for only a week feels like a year. I had to play "follow the leader" with this guy who liked to get really creative with his moves. He was maxing everyone's stamina out by doing all these butterflies in a semi-circle formation, 540 outside creasing kick, and some other wushu stuff. I was all over the floor by trying to keep up. Should've stayed down.

Back on the comp
Wednesday. 8.18.04 10:33 pm
YES!!! Score, I'm back on the computer again. My fam had to get a new comp cause the old one is pretty messed up by the virus. I don't mind cause the new comp is new and improved. It doesn't give me as much problems as the other one. Aww... it feels good to be back on again. I'm connected.

My Computer is infected!!
Saturday. 8.14.04 5:04 pm
This is going to be one long entry since I'm not sure when I'll be able to use the computer again!! I found out my computer is infected with Trojan virus and has been pretty screwed over by the virus. My comp continues to freeze up everytime I try to delete the Trojan files, so I'm using my my mom's work computer. Oh my goodness!! I have learn to be grateful for computers. I love the feeling of typing and have access to the "outside world." Yeah, I realize what a computer geek I am. Yet, I'm computer dumb. I have learned a really valuable lesson: never ever double click on emails!!!

So this is what went on @ the concert....

Projekt Revolution was awesome beyond words. I don't think I have ever love the bands more till now. Thanks to my bud, Carolyn, for taking me to the concert!! First, we saw Less Than Jake. They were ok, since the concert was just warming up. However, the beat was too fast for my head to bang to. The trumpet player was really good. We were probably in the 3rd row of the pit, but we lost our spots when the Used was on. They were good, but we missed half of their performance which I'm pretty resentful of. Carolyn and I managed to squeeze up to the front cause her cousin was up there. Next, we waited patiently for Snoop Dog. My word, he started his performance by coming out of a dog house. I loved his stage props since it looked like Snoopy's house. That's when the concert really got started. He had everyone chanting, "Naa... na..na..na...Na..na..na..na.. Snoop Dog..." He had this old guy dancing up there, which was pretty funny. Then, we saw Korn which was pretty awesome. The concert turned from "Wave your hands up in the air; wave them around like you just don't care," to "We don't want no education, we don't want no thought control." That's the anthem for not wanting this summer to be over, "Hey teacher, you're just another brick on the wall!" Things were heating up w/ their hardcore beat. Finally, the long anticipated grand finale was about to start.... The wait felt soo freaking long!! Then, we heard "BOOM!" and LINKIN PARK CAME OUT!!!! Everyone started screaming like little school girls!! I was singing the words to everyone of their songs w/ the girl standing right next to me. We were thrilled. Carolyn snapped pics like crazy (she ran out of film before I could take a pic of Rob Bourdon). Surprisingly, everyone in the crowd were more united in singing word for word to the lyrics of Linkin Park songs rather than moshing. It was pure joy being soo up close to the band I've adored since 6th grade, about 5 ft proximity. Their performance felt short, but things couldn't have been better. The last of the crowd's anthems ended with, "One Step Closer." A song to never forget.
By the way, the reason why the concert sounds a little over dramatic because it is narrated by an obsessive LP fan.
