Recently my MP3 player, a 2007 Valentine's Day gift, broke down. Actually i have sent it for repair for a couple of times and now that my 1 year warranty was expired, to let the person look at it costs about $40. Thus, final decision was to just put it aside and buy a new one. Finally after one week of surviving on my mobile phone's mp3 (limited songs available) and radio, D.D. graciously paid for my new MP3 player. Guess which brand this is. Kinda cool with its touch screen.
Haha... Its not Apple's IPOD.



D.D also kept to his "promise" of buying me a wallet. Initially wanted a Gucci one, however after checking it out, we decided to strike it off. Its costs $750 for a fabric one, ridiculous man. After rounds of window shopping, I finally settled on this. Ain't it pretty. Guess which brand this is? No prizes for the right answer though.



Next purchase is a smaller sum one, a set of rings from Dorothy Perkins. There is a sale going on, 20% for all regular items for May. Not sure when it ends though.

This month is really a shopping month, I just bought 2 items over the internet and can't wait for it to arrive somewhere on 20 May (originally on 18 May but its a sunday and monday is a public holiday). Yeah !!!

Better hide before D.D nags or scold me for spending $$$$ again. See ya!

Watched Forbidden Kingdom. Am pleasantly surprised the chinese actresses can speak English relatively well and very into their character. I enjoyed the movie, its been long since i last saw a chinese "gu zhuang" movie.

Next up is studying for D.D. As the National library's study lounge is full +the Hans area on the ground floor is full too, we headed to Rocky Master across the Raffles Hotel. Good to study or read outdoors. However try to avoid these situations:
1. Smoking corner
2. A group of middle-aged aunties and uncles who tok in dialet about toto and cut their nails
3. Crying babies

Anyway, read 8 Days and a new book I bought for D.D. , The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, which was featured in Oprah's talkshow. Will update some quotes the next time round. Also, am impressed that D.D. bought something ex for my mum's upcoming bdae in May. Such a nice and generous boy!!

Celebrated D.D's birthbay! Although it was only a dinner, it was time well spent.
Ate at the Swissotel Merchant Court, Ellenborough Market Cafe, buffet for 2. So full man. D.D. was gobbling on oysters, crayfish, shark's fin, durian paste and sashimi. I hope D.D. enjoyed his candle light dinner. Happy birthday and may your wishes come true.

My 5th Year Pressie:
Was quite surprised at D.D's unique taste. At first sight, I scolded him for paying such a high price for the ring. After a few days of wearing it, i realised that i really like it. Was always peeping at the ring while working and on the train. D.d., you have got great taste, just like me.

Our trip to RELC was wasted, not opened on Sat. In the end, D.D. will have to take 1/2 day leave to pay his school fees. Walked around orchard and settled for Coffee Bean at Paragon. While D.D. read his book, i ate cake and read newspapers. Honestly, we had nv done this before together. We should try this more often. Hehe.. Am glad that we have alot of chemistry. Miss you D.D. Dun stay out too late orh.

Thursday
Had dinner with D.D. and slacked at home while my parents went over to our neighbour, Malaysia.

Friday
Met up with Pei Yun, a uni school mate who came down to Singapore from Malaysia to visit. Met her at Clark Quay for dinner. Had a king prawn meal at an Italian restaurant, $33 +++. Quite ex considering i only got 3 large prawns and the remaining were fries. Anyway, I figure out that Malaysians who study abroad especially in UK must be quite well-off. Considering the exchange rate, they have to pay the ratio of 6:1.

Went to D.d.'s Easter Day service. Well, it was an experience. The pastor is quite funny i must say, with alot of actions as usual. Had a drinker session with D.D.'s friends. Drinking is really not gd for your health, so i limited D.d.'s alcohol intake as he was not feeling well that day. His friends commented that they would nv think i would test his glass of drink for the alcohol content. Haha... I am willing to do anything for D.D.

Sun
Was invited to D.d.'s cousin's wedding solemisation (did i get it right?) Doreen, his cousin, is really pretty and Vincent his same age cousin is quite charming too. Too bad D.D. came first, you noe the theory of first-come-first-serve? Hahaha...
During the ceremony, there were 4 main points that the "lawyer" highlighted.
I could only remember 3:
1. To be helpful (as in always help your partner)
2. To be a truthful companion
3. To be united in your thoughts and dreams.
4. (my own) To always cherish and love each other.

Initially i was day-dreaming that i would fight to snatch the bouquet of flowers when Doreen throws it to a bunch of gals. However, she didnt, to the relief of D.D. Hiaz, wonder when would be my turn.
