My summer is going well. Tomorrow is Father's Day and Im going to dinner with my family. It really hurts that my mom wont have her Father with her and I wont have my abuelo. I really hope that it doesnt get mentioned tomorrow.

I sort of straightened things out with Cody. For now.. Im not really sure, to be honest. He's still going to continue replacing me for Sam. He apologized and all, but I know as soon as she screws him over he's going to come crawling back to me. I guess you could say I'm apprehensive but I figure I'm going to ignore it for now.

I plan to go to Boomers on Tuesday with Guy, Nicole, Cody, Vernon, Sam and Ary. For those of you who dont know what that is, Boomers is like.. a place with a GIANT arcade, it has roller coasters and other random attractions like those bumper cars, lazer tag, and such. I fear that it will be awkward between Cody and I because its the first time I've seen him since our fight. I think Sam will also make it awkward because I envision her draping herself all over him and whatnot. I might be playing it up more in my head though. I am excited to go on the roller coaster a bunch of times with Guy. Hopefully, just him being there will make it less awkward. Over the past school year, Guy has really become a good friend of mine. We've had our fights but our friendship has managed to blossom.

School still manages to seep into my vacation. Im taking AP English so I have summer assignments. That includes books and long assignments along with those books. I also have to email my French teacher every week in, YOU GUESSED IT, French. I realized that I mention a lot of what I mention here in those emails. Of course, only the things I do, or can say in French.

I've decided to start fresh. As if you know nothing about me, because maybe you dont? Lets pretend.

I should tell you a little about myself, no? My name is Daphne. I'm a rising Junior in high school and very soon to be 16. I have an older sister named Stephanie and she is 21. In 2 months to the day I get my license. I have friends, like any other teenager. But, I only get close to a few because I know how people are. One of bestfriends Jes, is amazing. I never get into fights with her because we always talk things out. She's always there for me, and I am for her. My other friends that I consider very close are Tif, Maryam, Guy, and Cody. I call all of my school friends "the Circle" because at school we always make make a circle in between classes. School has recently ended for summer and I couldnt be happier. Im not an overachiever but I do very well in school. I ended my sophmore year with straight A's and Im pretty damn proud. I dont sit home every weekend to study; I manage a social life and maintain my grades and studies. I think I do okay.

My summer vacation started out smoothly. I slept over my friend's house, Tiffany. We played guitar hero and watched a bunch of movies. I had a good time. I went to a Marlins game (thats a baseball team, for you non-Floridians). I was chosen out of 23672 people to be Fan of the Game. It was incredible. My name, along with my face was on the big screen and I received a ball. I'm a really big fan of the Marlins so this was a once in a lifetime kind of thing.

I went over to my other friend's house, Jes. Its always fun there. Even if we do nothing. We went to the Museum of Discovery and Science with Guy, Frankie, and Vernon. There were interactive things there that we played with. We crossed the street to get some pizza and sat by some lake until Guy's mom came to pick us up. We went over to Guy's house the next day and watched a movie called "Teeth." Its about this girl who has Vagina Dentata, teeth in her vagina. While this is a true disorder, the movie exaggerates that fact that it could bite someone's penis. I bet all you men just cringed a little. Ha. The movie was really funny. I think 3 or 4 men got their penises bitten off. (cringe) A dog ate one too. Pretty gross.

Lately, I've been having some problems with one of my really good friends, Cody. He seems to be acting completely different because he's been talk to Sam a lot lately. They live within 3 minutes of each other and she's always over his house. This bothers me so much because I've always asked to come over and I've never been allowed to because he always said his mom said no. He has also been treating me like shit. I told him I got straight A's and he mocked me and told me that it wasnt that hard of a thing to do. He likes every girl he hangs around with and Sam is not the girl he wants to be liking. She is really two-faced and will use him. I tell him this because I am a good friend. Im completely straight forward and I hold nothing back. I have no reason to. He ignores my advice. He has already replaced Jes and I for her. Not only that, but he has already begun to talk shit about us to Sam. Its so immature of him to sit there telling everyone whats going on when it doesnt include them at all.

On a lighter, less ranty note, Im going to be going to Gainsville to visit the UF campus and my cousin who currently is attending school there on the 25 of June. It should be fun. Im hoping that my sister and cousin can sneak me into some clubs or something. I'll have to wake up early every morning but I'll manage. Thats another thing about me. I love to sleep. I can sleep for a really long time. In summer, the only thing that wakes me up is my bladder.
