quotes.
"Pain, you just have to ride it out, hope it goes away on its own, hope the wound that caused it heals. There are no solutions, no easy answers. You just breath deep and wait for it to subside. Most of the time pain can be managed, but sometimes the pain gets you where you least expect it. Hits way below the belt and doesn't let up. Pain, you just have to fight through, because the truth is you can't outrun it and life always makes more."

"Forgive and forget. That's what they say. It's good advice, but it's not very practical. When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back. When someone wrongs us, we want to be right. Without forgiveness, old scores are never settled, old wombs never heal, and the most we can hope for is that one day we'll be lucky enough to forget."
Shall we?

So let's continue on with friday's happenings..

I went to the bank with my parents to open up my own account, and so all the money I got from my birthday was deposited into it. Afterwards, we went to go buy some dinner at this mexican place. On the way home my cousin Eva calls and tells us she's on her way to the bus station from LA. So we go to pick her up. It was around 6:30 when we got home, and Eva and I left to go to the Rufio, The Spill Canvas, & Terminal show around 7. Last minute, we decided not to go since we weren't in the mood to go to a show. So instead, we headed to Hollywood, but on the way we decided to go check out the venue where they were having the show. We got there and saw a bunch of white kids (no offense), but yeah. It wasn't as crowded as I expected it to be. Then we were off.. I kept missing the streets to turn on because my cousin has such a soft voice and I swear I don't hear anything she says. We finally got there and shopped at some store called Pop Killer. It's kinda cool, vintage, yet at the same time it looks like a thrift shop. In all, it's a cool store. I didn't get anything though. So we walked passed Guitar Center, and I guess there was some autograph signing or photo shoot or something involving a band going on. Luckily, when we were walking by it.. the band was already leaving and I walked right passed one of the members. I don't even know who he was or who they were, so it didn't really interest me in any way. We left and drove on Sunset & Vine just to go sight-seeing.

We finally pulled into a parking garage where we had to park 3 levels underground. It was really hot down there. We got onto the elevator and found ourselves at the entrance of The Knitting Factory. Wow, I've always wanted to go there, but we just stood there for a while just looking around. So we went out on the street and did some walking. We looked at the stars on the ground with the actors and actress' names on it. I saw a Michael Jackson impersonater and told my cousin, but she didn't hear me and she saw the star on the ground with his name on it and said it aloud, where the impersonator stood and just smiled. Hahah. Oh man, we saw Spiderman, Fiona (from Shrek), Ozzy, Pirates, and other people in costumes and whatnot on the street. It feels so uncomfortable when people stare at you when you're just walking. So many accounts of that happened that night. My cousin and I walked a little far and got this area that wasn't so very nice. We held onto our things being extra careful.. who knows? ya know? Ha, anyway we walked back and yeah. It was fun. Oh and on the way back I got confronted by this pirate with really bad breath. What sucked was that he got in my face and said hello. Yuck. Hahah. The ride back home was easy. No traffic, the highest I hit was 95 mph for a couple of miles. Amazing.. well to me yeah.

Before we headed home, we stopped by Starbucks. I embarrassed myself a little too much in front of these guys chillin' outside. Hahah. First off, I didn't know where to park so I ended up parking right in front of them crooked, but I fixed it. (= Second, I pulled the door open, but not all way so I ended up getting hit by the door on my way in. Man, so we got frappucino's then going back into my car, my dad calls and I asked if he wanted any. So of course he said yeah, and I had to go back in. I felt weird walking back and forth in front of the guys because they would look at me everytime like, "what is she doing?" Hahah so yeah we finally got home and then watched Mortal Kombat and reminisced about our childhood..

Today we had to get up early to go to Lancaster to visit my uncle. Afterwards we went to Northridge to eat at Claim Jumper. I always get super full when I eat there. We went to the mall and walked around for a while and headed to Van Nuys and then back home. Once I got home, I got ready to go to Angela's for her cotillion practice. Man, I always miss stuff so I have to learn so much in one day. But I barely learned a section today, so I guess I'm learning EVERYTHING next next saturday, which isn't far from her actually debut. Oh no..

Yeah, well that's it.. i'm done. k bye.

it doesn't feel like a friday.
Friday. 8.19.05 3:59 pm
I had math class today. 50 minutes sure does go by fast. Afterschool I called my best friend, Courtney, because she called me during class and I was just talking to her on the way to my car. So I'm sitting in my car still talking to her and I see a guy get into his BMW and he sits there for a while. So about three minutes into the conversation he finally starts up his car and he puts it in drive and goes over a curb thing. I wanted to laugh, but for his sake I pretended I didn't notice because that's pretty embarrassing. And to think that he'd pull it in reverse to go back over it, but no. He just sits there in his car, so I finally left and yeah.. I just thought that was funny.

Around 1:30 or so, Courtney came by and we just hung out and ate cup of noodles. She was looking at her myspace friends and showing me all the people that were from our elementary and junior high. It's weird finding them there. Everyone has a myspace. It's pretty cool actually to see how people have changed over the years. Yeeeah..

And now I'm just sitting here waiting for my cousin to come because she's in LA right now. We're supposed to go see Rufio, The Spill Canvas, & Terminal tonight, but I don't know if we're still going to go. So if anything comes up, I'll be sure to update again.
