I never do this. Sunday. 7.8.07 11:16 am Comment! (10) | Recommend! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do not try to bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself. Happy 4th, plus other stuff. Thursday. 7.5.07 10:01 am It feels like I never left the house, and yet I've been gone for a full two weeks. It's a feeling I get everytime with every vacation...while I'm gone it seems as though I've been away forever, and when I get back it feels like nothing's changed. Bleh, I can't stand it. Anyway, Florida + the competition was amazing, and DC had its perks too, though not really in the way I expected. Plane rides are boring. Hence, I picked up some pencils and marked up some paper. ![]() I copied it freehand from an old Warcraft III manual, so credit to whoever did the original :) If I see another museum or hear the word "tour" I might pass out, because those were all we did in Washington DC. Sure, some of them were interesting. For the first 20 minutes. My sister and I would've been fine if we could've breezed through at our own pace...I mean come on, we're teenagers, we don't care about what happened in 1416 to some Duke of This and That. But for all my complaining I do get some bragging rights. I've been inside the White House. I've seen the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence. In the end I guess it was all worth it. My parents deserved it anyways, after we dragged them through 4 days of competition :) I hear the popping of fireworks and the voice of my dad asking me to come outside and watch them from our deck. I'm obligated since he just cooked us a real nice dinner. Until next time... P.S. I was planning on seeing Transformers today but my friends bailed. Apparently people do things on the 4th of July haha. I'm dying to see it...if anybody else already has then tell me what you thought of it. P.S.S. Thanks for all the comments on my previous entry :) It means alot...I still don't think I've gotten all the excitement out of my system. Comment! Double Dutch freestyle video [ update on previous ] Thursday. 6.28.07 6:53 pm So I said I'd get that routine posted online...and Youtube has come through for me. Don't know why I didn't think of it in the first place. Anyways....here it is. I love it too :D P.S. We had 2 misses..and we might've had a shot at the trophy if we hadn't. It kills me on the inside. Greetings from DC Wednesday. 6.27.07 11:15 pm I'm sitting in my hotel room with a laptop and a convenient ethernet cable. And just in case you were wondering... ![]() 6th for singles freestyle 9th for pairs freestyle 2nd for double dutch pairs freestyle 3rd for double dutch freestyle 4th for speed relay The scores above were for the standard age division championship. My speed relay and double dutch freestyle had high enough scores to make it to the finals (grand national championship, the top 8 competitors in the event regardless of age group). My speed relay was on track for 1st or 2nd but the last person in the relay messed it up -_-. BUT the real glory was in the routine below: [ Scratch that, the quality sucks I'll repost a better video ] 2nd place @ grand nationals! This was my first time making to the stage, let alone placing, which means the routine will be televised on ESPN later in the fall :D So exciting. Haha ok sorry I had to get that out of my system before I fell asleep...I'm just so proud of everybody and how we pulled that routine together in under a year. Maybe win next year? Who knows...I'll comment later once I get back home, ciao Nutang thanks for your support it means a lot to me. Comment!
