Sniffy is dead :(
Sunday. 7.27.08 7:27 am
remember the abandoned kitten my kids brought home the other day?

it became motionless on Sat night when we came home. My neighbour's helper, who was helping us to take care of her, said that she didn't move much and does not want to drink the milk. shortly before we reached home, she realised that sniffy was dead.

looking down at the still, lifeless body of the kitten, I encounter the death of an animal for the first time. the feelings was mixed, feeling sad and yet not the kind of sadness that I would have if she is a human. Bracing myself, I took the courage to wrap her dead body with a cloth and newspaper before placing it into a plastic bag and asked the kids to say good bye...

Christian the Lion (that's why I homeschool :)

relationship built during the younger days can really last for a lifetime. Nothing beats having your children still loving you dearly even when they have grown up and have started their own families! I hope that my kids will do the same as this lion as I grow up with them! :)
