about the vball playoffs.. Wednesday November 8, 2006 7:25pm Let me take you to the very beginning, before we even left for the game. We were supposed to meet at school at 4:15 and leave around 4:30 because we didn't want to hit a lot of traffic, but we ended up leaving at 5:00 because someone's ride to didn't come on time. So, anyways, we left at 5:00 and everything was going fine, no traffic or anything, until we hit Poway. Traffic was horrible!! I could've walked and gotten there faster. It was so cramped in the car too, with 4 people in the backseat. Finally we get to the school and it's 6:15! It took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there, and it's seriously out in the middle of nowhere, in the boonies. So, we're at the school, Valley Center High School, and we just look around and notice how nice their gym is compared to ours. And we look at the banners, and their girl's volleyball team won league in 2003, 2004, and 2005. huh.. no pressure, right? Anyways, the game starts and I'm pretty sure we were all nervous as hell. The first game was H-O-R-R-I-B-L-E. 6-25. I did get a block on the first rally, I was very proud of myself, but that was the only thing I did well. I sucked the rest of the games. We lost, BAD. We only got 6 points.. so yeahh, let's forget about this first game! It was so pathetic the first game that all we wanted was to get to DOUBLE DIGITS, and we did.. in the 2nd game. We did better in this game, but there was this 6'-something tall girl on the other team that killed us! The score was 15-25. I don't feel like writing anymore... The 3rd game started and I really thought we were going to win this one, but noo.. 20-25 and it's all over. Did you notice the progression after each game? If we played a fourth game, we would've won! Even though we lost, it was fine; I think we played pretty well, we were out of league... being the 11th seed and them being the 6th. It was a nice way to end the very LAST volleyball game I'll ever play. =( The game ended at 8:30 and our carpool decided to find a place to eat. We rode around and found a casino, Harrah's. We stopped by, got some food, and left. It took us forever to try to find the freeway because the area up there is so weird! There's construction and small dark roads, it was really CREEPY! It was straight out of a horror movie, with the dark streets, trees everywhere, winding roads! I finally got home and it was 10:45!! And I had to do Calculus homework, but I gave up at 12:30 because I was just too tired. Anyways, that was my day yesterday. Comment! (3) | Recommend! playoffs!
