today- Monday. 2.23.04 8:54 pm mood: achey listening to: don henley went to school. gave out souvenirs for friends from hawaii. bell rings. go to mrs. levalleys office. pesce. go to seaside high. workshop. workshop. workshop. lunch. come back to carmel. clifford. passing period. fletcher. library to finish bibliography. go to mrs. suttons room for ncbi meeting. now. why is passing period italicized? i bought some people souvenirs from hawaii thinking it might be appreciated. last time i will ever think that again. as i'm walking w/ soo, spence walker comes up to me with whatever is remaining of a small, yet simple gift-- meant for someone else. now maybe i didn't spend the most money on gifts- but putting into consideration the amount of money i could spare to spend on gifts- it was more than what most other people received. before you ruin it, at least wait until you get home -so i won't know about it you fucking asshole. to call me pissed is the biggest under statement.. ever.. what a total lack of consideration. putting that aside, there is a potluck and culture share on saturday, feb 28, 2004-- 5:30 to 9:30 pm. location: american legion hall-- dolores and 8th, carmel. there will be a kitchen, fireplace and lots of room for family and friends. this is an opportunity to share your culture with other people. although you can just go for the food. bring a dish to share-- beverages, utensils and paper plates will be provided. for additional information, call LaVerne Baker-Leyva (831)899-2792 and if you want to skip periods 1-5 on March 5, tell me-- you'll be participating in an ncbi workshop at carmel youth center. i think food will be provided. not sure. Comment! (0) | Recommend! an update Sunday. 2.22.04 8:46 pm not looking forward to school tomorrow..I would love an extra week. week after next- (1st week of march) is Wake Up Week. Why wake up week? To awaken- to rise up from, become aware of. Monday- Artist speakout: Artists were to turn in works of art to Whitney or Krissy, they speak about what their work means. business like that. Tuesday- Triangle Speakers: in the multipurpose room-- GLBT speakers will be coming in and speaking to us about how their lives are. There were sign up form in Mrs. LeValley's office. It should be up until tomorrow. Wednesday- GSA/NCBI Day of Silence: GSA and NCBI members and other willing people will be taking part in a day of silence for GLBT members who lost their lives for their own sexual beliefs. Thursday- Mix it up: Everybody has to eat/spend lunch with a different group of people. This is so everyone will get to know other people of different groups- and be tolerant of them. Also hopefully will break up stereotypes from different members of different cliques. Friday- GSA/NCBI workshop at CYC: Members of GSA and NCBI will present a workshop at Carmel Youth Center for the middle schoolers. Explaining their purpose and ways to prevent discrimination. yup yup yup. You're Cuba! (temp. of course) My poor feet...they were hurting so bad. i used like 50 band aids. it was pitiful. for the rest of the vacation, i walked around in sneakers and fuzzy sandals. the condom section at the ABC store. the little condom was cute, so I took a pic. I wanted to buy it for the little man, but i ran out of money. =( typical tourist huh? he made me laugh crazy, so i took a picture of him. funny thing is, after i took a picture of him, we ended up sitting next to him during the luau. he has a kid too, they were wearing matching shirts. it was a sight. hold on.... i'm still adding more. Why do we care what other people do with their lives? Shouldn't we just let the G.L.B.T. folk of America let them live the way they all want to live? And let them have the same privilages as the mainstream (such as the right to marriage, to show off one's love towards another)? "Equality Now!" Or is gay and lesbian marriages just wrong?
