A little bit about me... ![]() lazypuppy Age. 24 Gender. Female Ethnicity. Caucasian Location Northglenn, CO School. Other » More info. Widdle Gwegowy! How Well Do You Know Me? My buddies Gullible Info | Hey... Sunday. 4.1.07 11:41 pm If ya'll like music and free radio stations based on the music you like, check this website out: Pandora You basically pick a band or a song that you like and it makes a radio station based on the style and whatnot of the band that you like matching it with similar bands that you might like that sound close to the original band you put in there...phew...I hope that all makes sense. Comment! (5) | Recommend! Ugh... Sunday. 4.1.07 12:13 am Today was eventful. I left with my friend Melissa at about 10am to go get my photo magnets from Kiddie Kandids. They turned out fantastic! We ate at Panda Express and walked the mall for a while. After that, it was to Babies R' Us and I got him a teething blanket (he likes to suck on his burp rag...so I figured this teething blanket might be a good thing since it's sort of like the burp rag)...Melissa got him some baseball outfits. They're cute... Then, Melissa and I went bowling. It made me want to join a bowling league, but we'll have to see about that...it probably won't be anytime soon that I'll be doing that. After that, we went to the scrapbook store and I got some scrapbook stuff. I'm making Gregory his own little scrapbook, so I had to get some stuff for it. After that, I went to Melissa's to actually scrapbook for a little while. Before I went to Melissa's, I dropped Gregory off so I could be alone and uninterrupted while scrapbooking. Brian was there with him. I told him he could go out later with his friends since he'd be watching him for a while (to be honest, I've been out with Gregory all day and I got up with him all last night...so he really didn't need anything extra special to watch him for a few hours by himself). At about 8:45, he calls me and asks me when I'm gonna be home because he's going to go out tonight and I told him to give me a call when he was going to leave and I would come home (Melissa lives about 2 minutes from my house). He calls me at 9:30 (I was in the parking lot at my apartment building) and tells me that they [his friends] are leaving right now, so me getting home was perfect timing. Figuring that he'd leave when I walked in, it was fine. No, he sits around until 10pm before he leaves. He makes it sound like he's in a huge hurry to leave by calling me at 9:30 and then he sits there until 10! I was like "I thought you were leaving" and he gets all snappy with me telling me that he was burning a CD. I didn't know he was burning a CD...so I get my head ripped off for that? I think he was just upset me with me because I got in an argument with him about babysitters. He thinks by leaving Gregory with someone we know will make him be safer than leaving him with a stranger. He's true in some respects, but...let's say, for example, that our son is at a babysitter (Brian's parents house, their friend from work, a stranger, etc.) and he is eating something and starts to choke. Do you think he would have the same likelihood of choking to death that he would at home or with someone else that we know or a complete stranger? Yes... He wanted to argue with me about that and he's used to me just letting him win when he's wrong, but I set him in his place. He is no safer at home than he would be at someone else's house. Granted, his parents will probably keep a better tab on him, but seriously...babies die of SIDS at home and away from home regardless of how loving and watching the people are that are taking care of them. It sucks and it's sad, but seriously... I'm just so irritated right now. I was in a good mood until that...sometimes I wish he'd just leave me alone sometimes. Comment! (6) | Recommend! It's Wednesday... Wednesday. 3.28.07 2:20 pm and I haven't really posted an entry for a little bit. Things have been hectic with work and all. I actually went back full time on Monday, so it's been really stressfull and hectic. Yesterday, I just wanted to murder someone...so I got out of the office before I went CRAZY. But yeah...other than that, nothing is really new with me. Little Greg's at his grandma's house on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. He's going to be with someone that his grandma works with on Thursdays and Fridays until Brian switches to his new shift where he'll have Friday off. Then he'll just need someone on Thursdays in the afternoons. Poor little guy...I feel bad leaving him with someone all day, but I have to. I need to make money...Brian needs to make money...I just keep telling him that mommy works to buy him toys. We'll see what he says when he gets older. Last night, we got home and the cute little guy just wanted to play and play and play. Granted, we got home at about 9pm so we probably shouldn't have been playing with him and all, but it was so hard to resist. He's getting to the point that almost everything that we do or say to him, he gets a little smile on his face. He likes it when we change his clothes for some reason. He thinks it's SOOOO much fun. He's got the biggest open mouthed grin on his face. He loves being a little naked boy with his diaper on. I think he's going to be one of those kids who likes to run around in just a diaper. I hope not, but you never know. Anyway, that's my little update... Comment! (4) | Recommend! By popular demand... Saturday. 3.24.07 9:38 pm Here are pictures of Gregory in the Rainforest Jumparoo...he loves it! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Comment! (8) | Recommend! (1) Jumpity Jump Jump! Saturday. 3.24.07 1:44 am Today, we went out and bought Gregory a Rainforest Jumparoo. Just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about (which I'm sure most of you don't), here's a photo: ![]() He absolutely loves this jumpy seat. His feet are barely touching the floor (which is great, because it forces him to jump) and he will just jump and jump and play with the little toys. There's a parrot and a frog hanging up from the top and when he first sat in the seat, I think he was confused about what to do in it. He sat there for a while, but then he saw the frog. BOY, he had the cutest little conversation with that frog. He'd smile at it and stare and start talking to it. It was so cute! In other news, Brian and I went and worked out tonight. My main goal is to do cardio and try to burn off some weight and calories. I know it's not good to just do cardio for hour upon hour, so I did accomplish my goal of completing the Treadclimber workout (20 minutes) and I was proud of myself. When I go back, I will definitely be doing another Treadclimber workout (possibly a different one) and starting off that way. I did the shoulder press and then I started to do some crunches and abdominal workouts. If anything, I need to lose the flab around my abs. I really hate feeling like the Pillsbury Doughboy when I think of my stomach. You can literally push on it and wait for the "woo hoo" to come out. It's embarrassing and I'm tired of it. After that, I did some thigh workouts and a calf one and then I thought I could do the machine that works like the Gizelle (that crappy infomercial with that blonde haired guy with a pony-tail. My legs started going, but I was so not going...it was too weird to me. SO, I climbed on the stair stepper and about killed myself. I think I'm going to stick with the Treadclimber. I weighed myself tonight so I knew where I started and what I need to weigh to get to my goals. I've set them low at first. My first goal is to lose 10 pounds. That shouldn't be too hard. Then it's 20 pounds. If I lose 20 pounds, I'll be below the dreaded 200 mark and I'll be extremely happy! Then it's 50 more pounds from there to reach my goal of losing 70 pounds. We'll see if it works. I'm crossing my fingers. I'm going to start eating better and exercising more and I just hope the weight will come off. But yeah...I hate to dwell on weight because it's such a touchy subject. It's damn depressing. I'll talk about video games then... One night, I had some downtime while Greg was sleeping, so I started playing "Viva Piñata!" That game is so addictive! The main goal of the game is to make a garden that is so cool that it attracts piñatas. You get all sorts of different ones that come into your garden, depending on how well it is doing. Here's a screen shot: ![]() I haven't gotten to the point that I have horsey piñatas running all of the place in my garden. I mostly have bugs and worms. I do have some birds, but they haven't fallen in love yet (so there won't be little birds)...I did get the worms romancing, so I have TONS of worms...and probably more than I need. But yeah...I'm addicted! And now, I'm tired... Comment! (6) | Recommend! Greg's a Snowbaby! Wednesday. 3.21.07 8:11 pm I LOVE THIS! Wednesday. 3.21.07 1:53 pm Crochetmama suggested that I go to 43 Things to start my list that I wanted to and I absolutely love that site! I've already got 27 things on my list, and I know I can get more things on there...well, up to 43 things. I never realized how hard it is to find a daycare for my son. Places say that they take 6 week old babies, but seriously...how often do you see 6 week old babies in daycare? They hardly ever take the babies...and it sucks! Gregory is 10 weeks, so he's moving on up there. He's getting older and whatnot and he can do more things, but I also have to go back to work full time...and he needs to go somewhere :( I feel bad for the little guy. He sees so many people and whatnot. I wish I could be there with him all the time and then we wouldn't have to worry about all this daycare business. You know, the one time where he's the most active and alert is during the day and that's when I'm working. It breaks me heart...I hope he remembers me and all that and will still enjoy seeing me at night when I come home. I'm sure he will, but he seems to be more talkative in the morning and he definitely likes to be talked to in the morning. I talked to him a good 40 minutes this morning...the cute little guy. He just didn't want to go to sleep before I left for work, so I played with him on the couch and fed him his food and tickled his feet. I love the way that I can smile at him and he smiles back at me...and he giggles and talks to me too! BUT YEAH, I don't want to keep dwelling on the fact that I'm sitting at work and my son is sitting at home...I'll catch ya'll later... Comment! (2) | Recommend! The gym... Wednesday. 3.21.07 12:48 am Brian and I went to work out at the gym tonight...and BOY, I realize that I am completely out of shape. The first thing I did when I went in there was get on the bicycle (the one that doesn't look like a bike, but you are pedaling a lot). I did it for about 5 minutes and that was enough for me. I was out of breath and my heart rate was just insane. My goal was 129, but I was well above that at 160. After that, we went to the weight machines and I worked my legs, thighs, and glutes! I did a lot of the arm machines, but I didn't find anything that worked the abdomen. You'd think they'd have machines that helped with crunches and all that, but nothing. By then, Brian was feeling sick, so he went to the bathroom. Me, I went to the tread climber and walked for about 6 minutes before I was just exhausted. I am so out of shape :( My goal is to actually complete a full work out and feel good about it afterwards. I think I need to work on cardio and just fat burning to get some of this baby weight off and some of the other weight off. I need to set goals and stick to them. I should make a list of things that I want to accomplish: 1) Drink only water 2) Complete a 20 minute work out on the tread climber I'll have to add more to my list later. I really like the list that stlcardsgal86 has on her site and I might do a take on that. I'll have to work on more things to put on my list though besides just drinking water and completing a 20 minute work out on the tread climber. In other news, I heard that they are moving our department upstairs in our office building. When that happens, it will be extra peachy keen! No more dealing with the other departments face to face...we'll be upstairs! The other awesome thing about that is that my friend works for a design firm and her firm is the one that is actually designing our space plan and doing the space upstairs! What are the chances of that happening?! I have a feeling that they'll be using Steelcase for our cubicles and whatnot since they have mostly Steelcase things in there right now. Click the link if you want to see some pretty cool office furniture. I know when I thought of offices before I went into Interior Design, I did not think that they could look that cool. The cubes at my work right now are blah...and that's what most cubicles look like, but these actually make cubicles fun! She said that there are a lot of 8x8 cubicles and then there are some 8x6 cubicles. I really hope that I would get one of the 8x8 cubicles because 2 feet really makes a big difference. Either way, I'm sure I'll be happy just going upstairs! I get to ride the elevator to get to work...OR, I can just take the stairs (but that's not as fun)... BUT YEAH...I think I'm going to sleep or something. I've got work to do in the morning...ugh...work... Comment! (5) | Recommend! |
