(0) | Recommend! Now you shall all die!!!!!! Thursday, December 21, 2006 Hong Kong Wednesday, December 20, 2006 alright alright, i haven't been updating lately.. and must say it was for a good reason keke. SoOOOOoooo now i shall bore you guys with my very long entry on what i did in Hong Kong First of all, King Kong doesn't live in Hong Kong. My narrow perception of Hong kong before i went was all about streets, cops, gangs, and street gangs. Well, i was at least right about the streets and the cops part. They were all over the streets, maybe that's why i was disappointed not to find dudes with golden dragons on their backs View from the jetty of some part of Hong Kong.... ![]() Christmas decorations that beat the hell out of singapore malls. ![]() Boat ride from the city tour ![]() the repulse bay area where a lot of the celebrities live. Andy lau lives around there too! ![]() pretty interesting to have book dispensers. And apparantely, it's also much cheaper if you purchase from the machine, no middle man i guess... we lack tons of this stuff around here. ![]() over here we have a snoopy cafe, which i've never visited. Over there they have a charlie brown cafe, which i had a latte in. ![]() The streets of macau, less packed than hong kong needless to say. And sadly, can't find my gangs there. Although i did patronise the sands casino, which was my first time in a casino kekeke.... pretty cool place they got there, free drinks and all. I even played the roulette, definately stay at the sands next time, cos Wynn Resorts didn't even invite me over, and he's suppose to be my best friend boooo.. ![]() Went to sample portuguese cuisine over at macau, which wasn't too bad, curry crab and all. ![]() we also went to the disneyland, which were just nice having their 1st year anniversary, though not sure what else it entails beside having more snazzy plastic bags. The train that brought people over was pretty cool, nice details like this mickey handle and mickey shaped windows, even had disney figurines around the train. In time for the disney parade, not much to say, cept the dancers they used were mostly foreign, and looked pretty old. They kept repeating some song which i presume was the theme song for the park that keeps playing back over and over in my head now, its infectious, but i have no idea what the lyrics mean either. ![]() to be quite honest, i was disappointed with the size of the park. It only had 3 sections and a lot of the rides were 'kiddy' rides. the most thrilling ride there probably had to be the space mountain, which i thouroughly enjoyed, but still not scary enough for me to miss it, and im someone who gets scared easily. Second favourite ride was the buzz lightyear one (above), which was a ride cum game. But oh well, should have got suspicious when the ticket prices came out cheaper compared to other disney parks. We were staying at this hotel which for some strange reason decided to rent the bottom shops area to a freaking disco.... and all it did was went boom boom boom in the middle of the night, EVERY NIGHT! But thankfully, it takes a woman to 'negotiate' for a really really high level room otherwise i'd be having the boom booms to go with that dratted disney song. On the whole, the trip was quite alright, would have been more fun if i went with my friends, at least would have people to talk to. I must say, hong kong chicks are quite a pretty bunch. Didn't get to see any gang fights though, closest i got was the bunch hanging outside the hotel's disco. Also forgot to mention that i walked into a sign post which smacked my head pretty hard lol... typical of me, felt giddy for two days. aight, that's enough for one day, happy holidays everyone! Monday - on leave (yay!) Tuesday - Went for run at the treetop walk in Macritchie, come to think of it, it has been a year since i last went there, things were different then. But still, the place remains pretty much unchanged, quite nice having the place almost empty as well. On our way back it started raining quite heavily, needless to say we were pretty much drenched but it certainly has been pretty long since i had fun in the rain... ah when was the last time you played in the rain? Wednesday - Something happened but i can't quite remember lol... doh! Thursday - Duty!!! Ok, this was the only let down for the week. Thankfully nothing much happened. Friday - I saw Tay Ping Hui in my camp when having breakfast in the canteen with my warrant. Think he was back for reservice or something, part of me wanted to complain to the RSM to go cut his hair kekekeke... Not surprisingly, his table was filled with others and he seems to be the centre of attention..duh... I finally went back to church on friday, my aunt invited me for this concert that this group was putting up for free at my church. The group is called Casting Crown, and they won the grammy award for the best gospel music. They flew all the way to singapore to put up a show at the local hospital and my church, great guys, great music. I even bought a tshirt lol! My church also spawned a Coffee Bean booth lol... not sure whether it was free though as it was pretty crowded after the service. Casting Crown Definately worth checking out, whether you like gospel music or not, and very down to earth guys Saturday - Bummed around the whole day and went to meet wynnie in the evening, were pretty bored but we ended up going bowling lol. And i am pleased to say that i have broken my all time high score of 50 set in primary 6!!!! fun fun! happy holidays everyone! Comment! (0) | Recommend! Million ways to die Friday, December 8, 2006 this morning on the front page was how a guy died in a jacuzzi. Apparently the anti-suction board was broken and he was sucked and held in place at the water drainage area before he drowned to death. Sad thing was that he's fiancee was right next to him and had to witness the whole ordeal. a few days earlier a man jumped in front of the train at yishun mrt station, needless to say, he didn't make it. But so did many other individuals on time for work that day. Although it's slightly worrying to note that death by train seems to be becoming a trend. Last sunday a man almost died from running the standard chartered marathon. He would have, if it weren't for the runner next to him, which turned out to be a senior doctor. Im also sure we've read before some individuals who have lost their lives waiting for their bus when the bus skidded and drove right through the bus stop. Now, freak accidents or not... there are so many different ways to die.. though one may take certain precautions, it is almost impossible for everything to be foolproof, even for bubbleboy. My mother would always nag about all the different precautions to take, but my stand is that if it's your turn to go, it's your turn to go. Everyone dies, but sometimes, you get to draw a wild card.
