I�m going to be Princess Mononoke for Halloween.

Originally I wanted to be Blondie from "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly," (young Clint Eastwood you so fine) but that turned out to be kind of spendy. I�ll get there, someday.

THEN I was going to be a deer. The thing about that costume was that I�m like, really lazy. Antlers? I can�t make antlers. And where would I even buy them? The internet? I stole this idea from a friend only a week ago, it�s too late for that! Then I thought maybe I could use spray painted sticks. But really, how am I going to get sticks on my head? Plus, I�m pretty sure I�d just look like an idiot with spray painted sticks stuck to her head. I can�t really pull off ethereal. You know this if you�ve ever met me.

While still debating on the whole deer concept I decided to look for inspiration at the always classy Fabric Depot on 122nd and Stark (really close to Gresham and right across the street from a handful of delightful strip clubs), and went into the Faux Fur Room. That�s right. An entire ROOM dedicated to huge reams of beautiful, shedding, faux fur. You guys, that shit was like $40 bones a yard. I can�t pay that. I can find a real fur coat at Goodwill for the same price.

So I found like, a couple of feet of scrap faux fur for $7 bones and stared at it and wondered to myself what the fuck it would be good for.

And then Edward was like, �OMG Princess Mononoke.� So I agreed because I�m kind of desperate.

I�m wandering into pretty nerdy territory here and don�t know how I feel about wearing an anime costume. But I�m totally going to do it.

My cat likes to eat and play with plants.

Edward made a lovely terrarium:



and he was VERY PROUD of it.

And then Dagmar uprooted it. And ate some leaves and made a mess and was a very bad cat.

I should have gotten a picture of the mess. But Edward would have been sad.

So now we have to keep the terrarium up high on a bookshelf. Where no one can see it.

Robbed. Again. This time it was my bike.

I've noticed lots of transients and other shiesty characters digging around in the dumpsters and recycling bins around this place, but I kind of doubt it was one of them. Whoever stole my bike likely had to use bolt cutters to get it off the bike rack.

WHAT A TURD.

Ugh, and I had just put a badass basket on it too. It was hard, I was super proud of myself!
