Vandals
Wednesday, April 18, 2007
To continue from my previous post, my backstabbing ex-friend Tina told her mom all the dirty details and she called my mom. To sum it up, she gave me an ultimatum. I either dump Eric and get back together with Josh or she'll ship me off to private school in Europe somewhere. I was totally pissed off but I didn't respond.

I went to work yesterday. When I got there, Jo escorted me into his office. It seems a lot of kids around town have been harrassing him because me and so, he fired me. He didn't do it out of distain for me which I'm glad. On top of that, I went into a few other businesses asking if they had any openings. They did but made it obvious that they didn't want me working for them either. It's sad how people here have the inability to stand up for themselves. They know it is wrong but too scared to say anything.

What's worse, we woke up this morning and someone had vandalized our front yard, toliet paper in the trees and bushes, eggs smashed on the door, spray paint all over the house and so on. They weren't holding their feelings back one bit. The bad part about this whole thing is that my family isn't backing me up. I didn't do anything wrong but my whole world is making it seem like I did.

I don't know what is going to happen next. If I don't post here for a couple of weeks, just assume that I'm dead.

A Really, Really Bad Day
Monday, April 16, 2007
I guess I underestimated just how bad today was going to be. I knew there was going to be a bit of a backlash from prom, but like I said, it was soooo bad. School was okay. I got the occasional dirty looks and snotty remarks. Who cares...

Eric and I planned to do the picnic thing afterwards. So, when the final bell rang, I got my stuff and met him at my car. The thing is by the time I got there Eric and Josh were having words. Josh was bitching left and right, trying to throw his fake macho weight around. I have no idea how Eric remained calm and collective throughout all this. However, I stepped in. Here is how it went down:

ME: Josh, we're over. Just get loss.
JOSH: You can't seriously tell me you're picking this nerdboy over me.
ME: Actually, I can. What are you going to do about?
ERIC: Sam, this isn't your fight. Just take a step back and let me handle it, okay?
ME: You're right. It's not my fight and it's not yours either. Get in the car.
JOSH: Nerdboy isn't going anywhere. We haven't finished talking yet.
ME: Yes you have. Eric get in the car now.

Eric, reluctantly climbed in while I pushed my way to the other side. Of course, Josh was bitch, moan and groaning the whole time which escalated when we were about to pull out of the parking space. He threw a rock or something and cracked my windshield. My brand new car. I couldn't believe it. My parents were going to kill me.

At the time, I didn't realize that a cracked windshield was going to be the least of my worries. More on that tomorrow.

Before I leave, I want to say that my thoughts and prayers go out to the families of those who were injured or died in the school shooting in Virginia. It's sad that schools have become a common trend for massacres. I hope it never happens here.

A Biological Father has been Determined
Monday, April 16, 2007
It was announced last week that Larry Birkhead is indeed Dannielynn's biological father. I'm not too surprised. I always thought he was her father. I'm just glad she'll grow up knowing where she comes from, genetic wise. It takes more than shared DNA to be a father.

Now comes the custody battle. I'm not sure about Virgie but I think that Howard and Larry are trying to do what is best for Dannielynn. Even though I think that Larry is going to do right by her, I have a feeling that he is also going to try an exploit the situation in some way, but I think she is better off with him instead of Virgie.

I just hope all the legal battles will wrap up soon though I doubt it.

On a personal note, Eric called me today. Since I don't have to work tomorrow, we are going to have an old fashion picnic at the park. I can't wait!

Prom Night
Sunday, April 15, 2007
Tonight was prom night. I did mention that right? Anyways, this was suppose to be the most important night of my teenage life. I spent all day getting ready. I got my hair and nails done. Picked up my necklace from the jewlery store. The only snag was my dress. I had to have it altered for the third time at the last minute. But when it came down to it, everything was going great by 7 pm.

The plan was that Josh, my so-called boyfriend, was suppose to pick me up and escort me to nice romantic dinner. Then, we would head to the prom until eleven or midnight. We would then proceed to my house to change clothes and meet up with our friends at the after prom festivites held in the school gym. Unfortunately, it didn't go down like that.

I stood for like an hour and a half waiting for Josh in uncomfortable shoes because I didn't want to wrinkle my dress too much before making my entrance into the prom. I called him several times, but his phone was turned off and he wasn't at home. Pissed off, I got into my Range Rover and escorted myself to the prom, prepared to kill him. The problem is when I got there, he was already inside and he had my prom ticket. What's worse is that the prom ticket in which I purchase....well technically I bought them both, but anyways...he gave it to some other skank who didn't even go to our school.

So, here I am looking fine and expensive in the hallway outside the school auditorium, trying to figure out a way to get inside when guess who comes strolling my way. That's right Eric. Now, I have to be honest. When I saw him, anger just sort of disappeared. He looked FINNNEEE! The Fab Five must have gotten a hold of him because he went from geek to chic.

I had that sort of life changing moment right then. You know the one where this person who you have seen many times before goes from an average nobody to a potential soulmate. It definitely took me a minute to snap back into reality. We shared some small talk. I told him what happened with Josh and by chance, his date flaked out on him and he had an extra ticket to spare. Being the gentleman that he is, Eric escorted me into the prom.

It was well after nine when we got in there. So, prom king and queen had already been announced. By no surprised, Josh and I won. Since I wasn't there to accept my crown, his "date" was so happy to do it for me and I was so happy to go and snatch it off her skanky, bottle blonde head. The funny thing is she stood there looking all shocked as to why I would do such a thing in which she tried to slap me. But since she didn't manage to connect, I pushed her into the concession table. Punch spilled all over her hooker dress and she ran out of the building crying. Poor thing.

I think Josh got the hint that we were over. I spent the rest of the night with Eric. Despite the disastrous moments, tonight was a monumental night. Basically, being seen and having fun with Eric unofficially announced to the entire school my secret identity that I'm not the bitchy girl everyone has come to know me as. By Monday, my popularity status will probably be nonexistent and for some reason, I don't really care.

Good Night everyone or rather Good Morning!

Unbelievable!!!
Thursday, April 12, 2007
Whoever said that teen pregnancies are contagious was on to something. For some reason, I thought since fewer students go to my school than most public ones that we were exempt from some of the usual teenage indiscretions. But that would by my naive self shining brightly as ever.

Currently, two girls have made the BIG announcement and today, a third came out of the closet, so to speak. What's worse is that she happens to be my best friend. I'm still in total shock. Best friends are suppose to like tell each other everything. Somehow, her hooking up with someone was lost in translation. I can understand her not telling her parents, but I'm her best friend. If she can't trust me, who can she trust?

Oh, there's more. It seems her parents are soo "ashamed" of what she did that they are shipping her off to live with some nuns or whoever because she won't get an abortion. Can you believe that? She makes one mistake in which she will have to live with for the rest of her life and they start acting like she is a virus that needs to be immediately contained.

I know this is a small town but a pregnant teen isn't at the top of the scandal list. Actually, Mrs. M, recently widowed, and her very very married neighbor (and I'm not talking about a male neighbor either) are quinching the hearsay thirst at the moment. But her parents are going out of their way to make sure no one knows about this. I wouldn't even have found out if I had stayed in class instead of using my last bathroom break to escape Ms. Dragon Breath's responsiblity speech. I don't have the iron will that some of the students have. Five seconds of that foul smell and they would have to carry me out on a stretcher.

Anyways, I ran into my BFF in the hallway as she was cleaning out her locker. She told me what happened and my first thought was that she could have used that responsiblity speech more than me. To be honest, I was kind of angry. I thought she knew better but I guess this is one of those situations where you really can't always be prepared for what could happen. She says she is going to write me but I have a feeling I won't hear from her until she gets back.

So, right now my anger has shifted from her to her parents stupidity, but I guess there isn't anything I can do about that, right?

Blogger Choice Awards
Tuesday, April 10, 2007
Nothing out of the ordinary happened today which is really unusual. I know I live in a small town but if tv shows like Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill don't teach you anything it is that even small towns are filled with their own kind of drama.

Instead, I'm doing a shameless plug. A blog that I read every once in a while, Ghost Stories, is nominated in several categories for a Blogger Choice Awards. I've noticed a few blogs around here that deserve this kind of recognition. I know blogging shouldn't be all about getting awards but it can be hard work, updating and maintaining a blog and it's okay to be rewarded for hard work.

Sign up and nominate/vote for your favorite blogs/blogging hosts, as many as you want. You can even nominate and vote for your own blog. The winners will be announced on June 2nd at Postiecon in Orlando, Fl and posted on their website after the ceremony.

BTW: I want to thank everyone who has been sharing their thoughts and well wishes. I appreciate it!
