| Saturday, 7/26/03 - 11:11 am What is in a dream? For me they are definately the effect of me worrying...rarely do i get a nice little pleasent dream, does that say something about me or my life? Maybe I worry too much, actually I know that i do... it prolly all comes from back when i was in 7th grade and I learned to worry. My brother suffered from suicidal depression and through it all so many complications came up, like he ran up the phone bill to $2,000 and he had to be taken out of high school, he totalled two cars, he refused to take medication, he let himself die...metally and physically...still does to some degree now even, so I learned to worry. my parents worried too, and i don't know how the hell they are still married, but it def taugh me to never give up in a relationship. I didn't understand half of what was going on during that time, most kids don't. But eventually I learned and along with learning about my brother's condition, I learned to worry. Even tho the knowledge brought doubts, worries, and other emotions, I would rather know and understand than not. Taking the good with the bad Comment! (1) | Recommend! Friday, 7/25/03 - 7:42 pm so in an attempt to post "meaningful shit" i will write about something that hopefully is "meaningful" I actually think that bc I have been part of xanga, and "xanga drama" it has dulled my intellect, so I got used to writing about crap instead of what was really going through my mind...so here's to "meaningful shit" hmm let's see what has been wondering my mind recently...well i guess the best i can come up with right now, is the whole being American legally vs being American personally. I am reading Snow Falling on Cedars for AP English class and being an asian myself I have often become frusterated with people judging you. I came to America when i was 3 months old, adopted by american parents. Even then the adoption agency tried to pursuade my parents to serve me korean food, teach me korean, bring me to korean wrokshops about heritage and shit. My dad just pretty much told them to shove it up their ass bc i was living in America now so i will grow up as one, eating hamburgers and all. (funny... i don't like hamburgers, but that is besides the point) So since i was a lil baby, I was brought up as an American and at heart I believe myself to be as american as any white person. Same in Snow Falling on Cedars, in times of war tho, the two main characters are faced with accepting that their faces precede them and are forced to realize that they are judged based on their eyes, not their heart. It is just frusterating to live life knowing that certain things can never be obtained bc of your face. I could never be President, if I were an actress, my roles would be very restricted, and teachers expect you to be smart. I could write a lot deeper but I kinda just woke up, so there is what I've got for now...a lil more "meaningful" i hope. Comment! (3) | Recommend! small things = good times Friday, 7/25/03 - 1:55 pm Whoever said food couldn't make you happy...So I got home from a disheartening lacrosse practice today, took a shower and then got online...i needed something to do... and low and behold, Courtney IMs me and asks me to come to lunch with her and Dave!!! YAY...So Dave picked me up and we met Courtney at Applebee's...mmmm Aztec Chicken salad, good stuff and always puts me in a good mood. $8 of happiness bc of tips and tax...oh well. That's what i love about my friends, you can just randomly go out for lunch or go get ice cream , or hang out and talk in my room, or go for a trip to Giant...the possibilities are endless... and just those small things bring you closer and closer to some amazingly cool people. thanks. "I want what every girl wants"..."what is that" ..."the fairytale" I really don't want the fairytale, it's just a good quote to spur comments. I actually am happy just the way things are.
