Useful Things | well Friday. 6.29.07 10:43 am Well I'll announce it now. I am not obsessed with Final Fantasy anymore. Yeah it's kind of weird. I guess after the whole Final Fantasy X-2 deal I started to drift away from the series. Final Fantasy X-2 could have been better, but they pretty much used sex appeal. Final Fantasy XI came out but it turned into this whole online game thing. Final Fantasy XII disposed of the summons alumni (Shiva, Ifrit, Ramuh, Leviathan, etc) and it apparently was not that great. I blame the whole "Squaresoft + Enix = Squenix" deal. Don't get me wrong. I loved the games that Enix had but when these two combined, they killed the whole Final Fantasy franchise. There was all of this uproar with Final Fantasy VII. There was Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, and some cell phone stuff. I fell asleep during Advent Children (haha). I guess too much of a good thing is a bad thing or something. Well that's my whole thing... I'm not much of a fan of Final Fantasy anymore. It's weird that it took me ten years to get over it. Whatever... It's going down into the sewers. Just imagine if the series stopped at 30? It'd be Final Fantasy XXX. Oh God, that's disturbing. Comment! (2) | Recommend! Anime Binge-- is it possible? Saturday. 6.23.07 12:07 pm So I guess once you pop you can't stop. In this case it's once you watch you can't stop. After concluding "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" I started to watch "Trinity Blood." Anyway here are some videos I found very entertaining. This is the original. There used to be a video that had the full song on it, but they were all taken out. This one is like a "Live Action" kind of thing of people doing the Hare Hare Yukai dance. This one is shorter. MR. Donut! And Megaman! There are more... you can find them on youtube and whatnot. Comment! (4) | Recommend! (1) congraduations! Friday. 6.22.07 12:31 am I kind of graduated today. I'll probably never see these people ever again... but I'll try to do my best to see most of them some time this summer. Edit// So Jesse L Martin was our guest speeker and it was drizzling/raining. It was awesome. Comment! (2) | Recommend! Anime Sunday. 6.17.07 8:38 pm I've been watching it a lot lately. It's kind of weird. There are all these scenarios that just won't cut it with "live action." The first series that really started getting me into anime is called Gunslinger Girl. So on iTunes there is a section where you can find tv shows. There's an anime subsection. I was wondering if it were worth it to purchase an episode on one of these choices. I decided to try one series out, and I hoped for the best. Gunslinger Girl takes place in modern Italy. The government has one newly developed branch that uses these girls to deal with their "dirty work." The girls are all victims of various scenarios and are given a second chance at life. They are given these cybernetic implants and undergo rigorous training known as conditioning. Each girl is given a handler who chooses the amount of conditioning the girl needs. The handlers train the girls to the best of their ability to successfully carry out missions. What makes this anime disturbing is the fact that these girls are young. I'm talking about elementary school young. This shocker is complimented with appropriate music and character designs. The girls have the stereotypical big eyes while the adults have the rather smaller eyes. This was definitely appropriate because it shows the physical differences between the handlers and their cyborgs. The girls are fragile and innocent, yet they assassinate without thinking twice. And their eyes being huge reminds me of the eyes of babies. Apparently the guns are very detailed (I'm not a huge gun person so I really don't have any expertise here). Yea for choppy reviews! Umm.. So that's how I became so intrigued with anime. I just find it different from a lot of the crap you see on television. I am sick of watching spin offs of Flavor of Love-- even though I do find some of those shows hilarious in the beginning-- and I don't watch anything else. Reality TV can be entertaining but it gets old. I went on YouTube and finished watching dot hack// Sign. I first saw it on Cartoon Network, but I never finished. They stopped showing it before I was able to watch four full episodes. I liked it but I'd rather it be a shorter series. It just seemed like it kept going around in circles. I don't know... I was disappointed but I still enjoyed watching it. Well that's what I've been up to for the last couple of days. Physics on Thursday. It's the same as graduation. Eff.
