Quotes of the day
Is that a kind of occupational hazard of soul mates ? One's not much without the other ?
- what dreams may come

Can miles truly separate you from friends.... If you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there? ~Richard Bach

"I'll love you till the ocean is folded and hung up to dry" -W.H Auden

I'll wait so longingly for you to need me... want me... notice me...

"If looks be the reflections of the mind, the thoughts that in that head are not what they used to be- those thoughts which I knew so well." - De Maupassant in "A Family"

Our soulmate is the one who makes life come to life.

If you don't laugh at yourself, life is going to seem a lot longer than you want it to.

For you-- John Denver
Just to look in your eyes again
Just to lay in your arms
Just to be the first one always there for you
Just to live in your laughter
Just to sing in your heart
Just to be everyone of your dreams come true

Just to sit by your window
Just to touch in the night
Just to offer a prayer each day for you
Just to long for your kisses
Just to dream of your sighs
Just to know that Id give my life for you
For you for the rest of my life
For you all the best of my life
For you alone, only for you

Just to wake up each morning
Just to you by my side
Just to know that you're never really far away
Just a reason for living
Just to say I adore
Just to know that you’re here in my heart to stay

For you for the rest of my life
For you all the best of my life
For you alone, only for you

Just the words of a love song
Just the beat of my heart
Just the pledge of my life, my love, for you

crazzzzy night out
Monday. 10.6.03 10:03 am
So, Robbie picked us up around 9pm... we went driving around for a bit... decided on what we were going to do. Got him some food from Wendy's and headed of to find orange cones. We found two one small and one big juuuust asking to be taken! I got one, and Robbie got the other, left it hanging out of the window as he drove away, bc there were stones in it, and he didn't want to mess up his car. Thennnn, we found a sign, I don't even know what it said, something about Red Rum... and it was freakin huge, so Ash didn't want to go get it, so there i am trying to pull a sign and post out of the ground that is almost as big as I am, stuffing it into the trunk and running after the car as Robbie freaks out and starts driving away! hahhahahaha, good times indeed. The best part is where we left all that crap. We went into South Point, a neighborhood, and blocked off the road with three cones we had, and put the sign in the ground on the side of the road. i just hope some citizen moves the cones before the police come to investigate....

The Million Dollar Question: Who is on the $200 bi
Sunday. 10.5.03 6:20 pm
Everyone knows that Benjamin Franklin’s face stares back from a $100 bill, but whose face plasters a $200 bill? If the cashier at a Food Lion store had looked at the paper money in his hand, he would have answered “George W. Bush.!”

On September 6, 2003 an unidentified man entered a Food Lion in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and made a purchase of $150. He paid his order with a phony $200 bill. Had the cashier looked down and realized that the United States Mint does not print $200 bills, he would not have given the forger his $50 in change.

The front of the counterfeit bill featured President George W. Bush’s face. “The Right to Bear Arms” circled a minuteman figure while “Moral Reserve Note” was written across the top. Fittingly, the barcode was DUBYA4U2001.

The back of the bill pictured the White House with signs picketed in the lawn with slogans such as “We like Ice Cream,” “We Like Broccoli,” “USA Deserves a Tax Cut” and “No More Scandals.” An oil drill complements the right side of the bill as well.

Remarkably, this is not the first incident involving a counterfeit $200 bill. Three days later, Roanoke police arrested 24-year-old Michael Harris for his use of an identical bill from a separate case at a convenience store in August.

The police are still looking for the suspect from the Red Lion store.

Although the cashier may be to blame for not recognizing that a $200 bill does not exist, the incident certainly says something about our country. The political slurs toward George W. Bush also declare how some people feel with regards to his duties, obligations, and decisions as President of the United States.

When gathered at the dinner table with the family for the holidays, ask, “Whose face is on the $200 bill?” and see how many people stop and think.

Football from the sidelines
Sunday. 10.5.03 6:13 pm
Standing on the sidelines, handing water bottles and towels to sweaty football players, and occasionally taping a bloody elbow does not seem like a job one would enjoy. However, not only are my Friday nights the most fun I have all week, but they also have showed me a different and admirable side of the Hershey High School football team.

From the stands, one sees adolescent guys with too much testosterone running into each other, dodging the bigger man, and sprinting toward the end zone. The less astute fan will see only the end score. This year, however, even the inattentive spectators have realized something is different with the team. They see the record, currently 5-1, but I see the spirit.

When a group of people spend two to six hours a day working, struggling, and overcoming obstacles, it is no wonder that this team is uniquely bonded. Once game time comes, they must trust each other to make the right decisions and work as a team.

Unlike other sports, one person cannot carry a football team. Each player works for the advancement of another. Even if individuals are not playing, they shout words of encouragement, tactics, and congratulations from the sidelines.

At halftime, the fans in the stands watch as a losing or winning team trudges down below. At halftime, as I follow them with the medical kit and water, I see a team determined to carry their heads high. The players try to forget what has already occurred and focus on what is to come.

Angry, frustrated words may echo behind a closed door, but only words of hope, determination, and belief carry out onto the field. After halftime, the team faces a new opportunity to show their pride and determination.

In addition to the team spirit, I am in awe of what these players go through every day. More than half of the team walks into the training room before every practice or game, waiting to be taped, wrapped, iced, heated, or medicated. Under all of the pads, the fans do not see the multiple injuries supported by tape and gritted teeth.

Football is not only about running into each other, scoring, and impressing the female population. It is about pushing yourself to the ultimate limits and helping others do the same.

As I walk back and forth along the sidelines, trying to squeeze myself in front so I can watch the game, cheer the team on, and hand out water, I am proud to have had the opportunity to work for such a fine group of guys who take the meaning of “the love of the game” to a whole new level.

sunday
Sunday. 10.5.03 1:13 pm
I am actully online for more than updating my nutang and other shit. Got some hw to get to, and then Robbie is picking ashley and me up aroudn 9 to go do some "twisting of the law" prolly gonna go move some orange cones around or something, he mentioned maybe doing halloween decorations....eh? Ash isn't very big into wasting time or getting in the line of possible trouble like that... but after so many years of playing by the book, I'm up for it. So it should be some kick ass time. I am supposed to write a personal narrative about three things (objects) that reflect who I am, and that give an insight to the admissions people for college. I guess I am not taking it that seriously since I don't have to write an essay for college, but I do need this grade for ap english.... if u have any ideas of an object for me to write about let me know.

6 pm: So i got some hw done, like the final drafts of my two articles for the newspaper... n that's about it.
