Weekend Blues
Monday, May 14, 2007
So, I spent a drama free weekend at my grandma's house. I was so prepared to enjoy the peace and quiet. The problem was I didn't factor in how boring it was going to be. I guess the drama went from being annoying to a bit addicting.

Thank God I brought my laptop. I surfed the internet a bit, listening to music, chatting and so on, but even that got a little old after a while. I tried calling Eric but for whatever reason his cell phone was turned off.

I couldn't wait to go home. I was so glad that my grandma came home early. What's worse is that I think I caught some cold from her house. I've been home all day in bed. Our housekeeper Lydia was so nice to take care of me even though it really isn't part of her job and she wasn't getting paid extra for it. I guess thats just who she is.

Anyways, I'm still a bit out of it thanks to the great invention of cold medicine. I'll catch y'all later.

A Poem for all the Mommies

Mother o' Mine
By: Rudyard Kipling

If I were hanged on the highest hill,
Mother o’ mine, O mother o’ mine
I know whose love would follow me still,
Mother o’ mine, O mother o’ mine!

If I were drowned in the deepest sea,
Mother o’ mine, O mother o’ mine
I know whose tears would come down to me,
Mother o’ mine, O mother o’ mine!

If I were damned of body and soul,
I know whose prayers would make me whole,
Mother o’ mine, 0 mother o’ mine!

On a Serious Note
Friday, May 11, 2007
It's amazing when a movie, book or even a song opens your eyes. I was watching the movie A Home of Our Own with Kathy Bates and Edward Furlong. I've seen this movie before and it makes me cry each and every time. It's one of those movies that just put everything in perspective.

I have been blessed all my life and took it for granted. After watching that movie again, I went into my closet and grabbed the clothes I don't wear or want and piled them into a box. Then I took them to a thrift shop in town. Like once or twice a week, they do a free day where they set up tables outside and give away all the donated stuff to those who need it.

Of course, my mom found out about it and started to give me the "money doesn't grow trees" speech. I simply told her that whether I give them away or they stay in my closet never to be worn again it doesn't really matter. I also kind of reminded her that charity work is always a good thing. People will like her more for it. She backed off after that.

My grandmother is going out of town for the weekend to visit friends in Georgia. She asked me if I would housesit for her. She lives about 20 or 30 miles away from this stupid town. Thankfully, I get a reprieve from all the drama. I'm going to take my laptop with me. So, I may do a little blogging this weekend. I know it is Mother's Day weekend but we've never really celebrated that holiday. Not sure why.

Anonymous Note
Thursday, May 10, 2007
Everyone is still talking about what happened yesterday. Thanks to rapid gossip the mystery person has turned to an entire conspiracy group. But only I know the truth (well more truth than anyone else knows). Someone today left an anonymous note in my locker:

Sam,

I know the last couple of weeks have been tough on you and I'm partly to blame for it. I know as well as you that Josh is a jerk. Someone needed to teach him a lesson.

He was at my house once. I left him alone for two seconds in my bedroom and he decided to check out my underwear drawer. So, I figured since he liked them so much I'd give him a pair of his very own.

I hope you enjoyed the show!

Love,
A fellow outcast

I didn't recognize the handwriting and Josh has been with so many girls before and well after me. So, I don't have a clue who it is. I know it was signed "A fellow outcast", but I felt like an outcast even when I was popular. If this particular person was on Josh's hormone radar then they would have to be apart of the popular crowd too. Then again maybe not. I don't hold anything past Josh.

Wow...I'm starting to feel like Chloe Sullivan. I may have to start doing a little investigation of my own. Can't wait to see what I find out.

Victory is Mine!

First....lol.....(sorry I can't stop laughing)...some well deserving person in my school deserves a medal...lol. Josh is a major jerk. I'm sure most of you know that by now. lol....some brilliant person..lol....took Josh's clothes and all the towels..lol...out of the locker room yesterday (he is always the last to leave the gym) while Josh was working out and left...lol...and left...lol...a pink bra and a thong...lol. I had to stay after school to help out the librarians. So, I had a front row seat when he came running through the hallways, bra, thong and all...lmao. Oh I wish I had a camera. It was hilarious!!! lol

That wasn't the end of it either. Even though I didn't have a camera, someone did (possibly the same person). When I got to school today, there was posters everywhere with a picture of Josh in the bra and thong. LOL. He disappeared around second period and no one has seen him since. Finally he got what he deserved.

No one has a clue who did this but like I said, they deserve a medal.

Ok..ok..ok On to some serious business. I'm a bit sick of this simple black template. I'm thinking about changing it (I like some of the premade layouts here but I'm looking to make something of my own). The problem is that I'm not all that computer savy. I know a few things but I'll probably be asking y'all for some help. It'll be interesting to see what I can come up with.

A Nightmare
Tuesday, May 8, 2007
I'm currently in my Computer Science class. So, this post is going to be short and sweet.

I had planned to do this whole big conversation thing with Eric after school today, but I think that is going to have to wait. Just as I thought the nightmares about me and our relationship in Hell town was dying down, someone decided to revive it. My ex, Josh, thinks that it isn't enough that most of the school hates me. He decided that my humiliation needed to be taken a step further by spreading a rumor about me being a so-called "slut".

He wrote my cell phone number on the boys bathroom wall and probably other places. And now, I'm getting tons of obscene messages on my voicemail and via text messaging.

I don't know how much more I can take of this. Before, I had Eric in my corner and that gave me some kind of confidence that got me through the days. I'm not so sure he cares anymore. I'm to the point that I just want to get my GED and get out of this town.

I don't know what I'm going to do yet.
