i wanna be on the hall of fame! (click ->) []
to get your name up here, read the subject of the latest entry. it's a line from a song, with one word replaced. if you find out which word it is, the name of the song, and who performed it, comment on the post and you'll be added.

for example, if a subject was "slap me baby one more time," you'd know that the real lyrics are "HIT me baby one more time," so you'd comment on the entry saying:

"oh master rick, ruler of mankind! i, your humble servant, have found the true lyrics to the song. HIT, from the song ONE MORE TIME by BRITNEY SPEARS. i only pray that you will show great mercy and bestow upon my worthless self a single point and a mention in the sacred hall of fame. gramercies, oh omnipotent one!"

and i would do just that.

note to self ...

now for ten WEEKS we've been on our own
Saturday. 04.24.04 01:02 am
mood: very swingy

that's about right, huh? ten weeks we've been working on the show? i guess so.

wow, this whole long rehearsal process does wonders to your mood swings. one day you're happy-go-lucky, others (namely, last wednesday), you're so stressed out that you run to the locker room and cry a little. JUST A LITTLE! yeah.

in case you were wondering about wednesday, it was sort of the mixture between lack of food, ms. leung's outburst at me for requesting an early leave for piano lessons, and jeff's constant reminder of how bad i am at singing. okay, he didn't quite put it that way, but he just kept on telling me to support my voice, support, support, and i'm trying, but he just can't get it through his head that i can't reach those damn high notes as easily as he can. oh well, no hard feelings now.

as for my current state of being, i'm quite excited about everything that's going on. the show opens on thursday, things are coming together, we re-did "happiness" to make it more sentimental, and i can't wait for friday and saturday night post-show stuff. to be quite honest, i'm excited about being on stage as charlie brown. my first lead role. wow.

so mark your calendars, foos!

i'll try and keep you guys updated on my mood swings, but let's hope it stays positive like it is now.

i went down to the sacred HOUSE
Saturday. 04.17.04 08:40 pm
mood: happy, i think ... ?

notice the lack of password. i'm getting tired of this shiznit. i'm going to just look for a password code for the whole damn site and i'll give it to you later.

anyways, today was ... err, weird? woke up, to the screams of my little seven-year-old brother. turns out the glass shower door fell on him and shattered into a million pieces. he was cut on his finger, hand, and foot. my mom freaked and my brother stood in my mom's shower while she called my stepdad. poor kid, he was crying really hard. he must have been really scared with the blood and whatnot. he kept saying "why me? why me? oh, i'm gonna die ..." and i kept having to remind him that he wasn't gonna die. then to get his mind off of things we sang "book report" while he was in the shower and i was standing outside of the bathroom. he was like "how do they expect us [sniff] to write a book report [sniff] there were vegetables in the gaaaa-[sniff]-aaa-aarden ..." (he likes naming all the vegetables). then he was taken to the hospital. it was nothing serious, he just had to keep his fingers closed to let the cut heal.

so after all that drama, i went to work day at 10:30 and as it turns out it the only cast members there were me, ciara, and tracy. well, jeff too, but he's crew too, so that doesn't count. i fell asleep on the couch, then ciara woke me up and i was in a pissy mood. oh well.

then there was cast bonding. ahhh, good shizz. hecksa fun. ate a lot, sang a little, talked a lot about various topics (christianity, maroon five, the show, leotards and going commando), did a little bible bashing (not the REAL bible), played a game, sang a little more, reminisced back to the innocent middle school days. but yeah, i think the bible bashing was the best. it sorta brought us all together, you know? it was fun.

so here i am at home, and what do i find? stupid 250free.com where i've been uploading all my pictures and stuff, it's been down for a couple of days. today it was back up, but i sign in and all of my stuff is gone! aahhh! stupid 250free! oh well, my site was in desperate need of an update. so for now it's going to look like crap, okay? okay.

can SURVEYS save your mortal soul?
Wednesday. 04.14.04 10:56 pm
mood: bored

i stole this from esther's xanga. it's better than a normal survey, because it doesn't ask stupid questions like "when's your birthday?" or "sunrise or sunset?"

pshaw. so here goes.

1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says: "and recycled to us ordinary everyday people".

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first? a TV.

3: What was the last thing you watched on TV? american idol. go jennifer hudson and jasmine trias and latoya london.

4: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is: err ... 10:57?

5: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?: 10:59 ... (i had to look at the clock when i first did this entry so that i could update the time).

6: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear? my fishtank and some racket upstairs.

7: When did you last step outside? what were you doing? umm, i guess right when i came home from school, to play with my litte cousin who was playing outside.

8: Before you came to this website, what did you look at? xanga subscriptions.

9: What are you wearing? collared shirt, white undershirt, jeans, socks, boxers.

10: Did you dream last night? yes. yes yes and it was very weird. i dreamt i was ordering something at a place that sells hot dogs, and i ordered for someone, and then i ordered for myself, but they were two different orders, and josh bradley asked where his food was, and i pointed to some guy and said that he had it, and he was like "oh i hate that dude". odd.

11: When did you last laugh? watching a video of my little baby cousin (the one i went outside for). he was playing around and he fell on his face and cried, then didn't cry, the cried again. i dunno, it was one of those "you had to be there" moments.

12: What is on the walls of the room you are in?: bookcases ... ? i dunno, i'm in the library alcove thingy.

13: Seen anything weird lately?: not really.

14: What do you think of this quiz?: it's cool. better than most i've taken.

15: What is the last film you saw?: in theatres? probably fifty first dates. in general? school of rock.

16: If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?: umm ... probably a nice piano. i don't know why that popped into my mind, but i've always had a dream of sort of an inverted piano, with white all around, black keys, and white sharp/flat keys. or maybe instead of black regular keys they could be blue. or something. something customized. i'd have to think about it more.

17: Tell me something about you that I don't know: umm ... i kinda have to take a poo right now and i can feel the little turd poking out of my butthole a little bit. right after i'm done here, i'm running to the bathroom.

18: If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?: um, i'd probably make musical staffs have six lines instead of five so that treble and bass clef would be identical. i've been thinking about that for a while. and if i'm changing the music world, i might as well call them ricks instead of clefs. hmm. "this song is in treble rick" ...freaky.

19: Do you like to dance?: um ... not really ... AH JUST KIDDING! HELLZ YEAH HOMIE G!

20: George Bush: now, george bush senior or junior? i'll get back to this question once you answer me.

21: Imagine your first child is a girl, what do you call her?: um. i dunno. i'd probably name her after the first thing i see after she's born. like "hospitalbed" or "babyblanket" or "incubator" or "placenta". oh i like placenta.

21: Imagine your first child is a boy, what do you call him?: flem. i've always wanted to name a kid "flem".

22: Would you ever consider living abroad?: hell yeah! someone buy me a ticket to spain. i've always wanted to go there.

23: Will you pass on this survey?: i'm posting it on my nutang, so i guess so.

hey, i don't need to go bathroom anymore.

well i know that you're in love with CANDY

mood: sugared up and pissed off

murphy's law: your computer will decide to freeze only after you've finished typing up your entry ... TWICE now.

okay, this is the third time i'll be attempting to type up an entry. if it doesn't work, i'm giving up. now let's see how much of the old entry i can recreate ...

happy easter to all (christians and festive atheists).

well, spring break is almost over. sigh. so far i've gained $25 dollars from babysitting, about five pounds from eating a lot, and absolutely zero fun points. this has to be the most uneventful break from school i've ever experienced. oh well, there's always next year.

you know, one would think that with all that free time i would have gotten some homework done. but noooo. i only just finished my essay for english, and i still have yet to run lines from the musical, add hand gestures to said lines, do some character work by watching 'finding nemo' and 'the lion king', practice songs, stretch my singing range ... ahh, the sultry sounds of pressure rushing back into my head. i miss the feeling.

so tomorrow it's back to school. back to rehearsals. back to waking up early and staying at school until seven. back to homework, textbooks, and writing the date in the upper right-hand corner.

... how much longer until school's out?

and the three CONTESTANTS i admire the most
Thursday. 04.08.04 04:01 pm
mood: dis a fropin pointed

i swear, this season of "american idol" is going to be the death of me.

who saw it yesterday? oohh i was so mad. not because camile velasco got booted off (she wasn't that great), but because JOHN FROPIN STEVENS wasn't even in the BOTTOM THREE. what the hell? HE SUCKS!

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4649112/

^that article explains it all. damn john stevens people.

as for now, my three favorites are latoya london (she's a great singer, but she needs to work on her personality), jasmine trias (that girl has a great voice, even though she was sick this week), and jennifer hudson (she's been my favorite since she sang "imagine" in the top 12 competition).

if i see ANY of them get voted off, SOMEONE's gonna die ...

when the jester VACUUMED for the king and queen
Wednesday. 04.07.04 1:00 pm
mood: unfulfilled

well how are you all spending your spring breaks? is it anything at all like i am?

i'm home alone because i didn't want to go to stupid marine world with my family, washing the dishes that my brother was supposed to wash last night, vacuuming the house with the big old clunky vacuum because the new light one we've had for so long is broken, with the computer speakers on full blast, belting out songs by whitney houston, rose royce, mariah carey, and the temptations.

what a waste of a weekday.
