I had the opportunity to read this awesome book titled "Man and Boy" by Tony Parsons. It's a brilliantly written book that made me laugh and tear up at the same time. The issues written are real, and so in tune with what a typical guy would feel. One of the best lines i remember is when his wife told him "I love you, but im not in love with you". Such a profound statement that really makes one sit up and think how the female psyche works. I was also intrigued by the difference between romance and marriage, and what their version of love is. Reading the book, i begin to realise that im still under the "boy" mentality, and how aging doesn't mean we naturally discover what real love is all about. Moving, witty and inspirational, definitely looking forward to the sequel "Man and Wife". Cheers.

quite a funny incident today.

this lady called me in the office this afternoon to invite me to give a talk about national education to a bunch of school kids. She said the reason i was selected was because i was leaving soon, and was listed as a former student of the junior college.

Not denying that i was once a student, but what she didn't know was that i only spent 3 months in the school before i dropped out to go poly, and that wasn't from the first 3 months.. so it was quite a weird moment probably because she wasn't expecting such a response. anyway subsequently i clarified with her and we both agreed that it would be rather awkward for me to go back to talk to them even if she wanted a former student... was also imagining what would i say to them if i went.. would probably go something like "hey, i was a drop out from your school! but anyways, im here to talk to you guys about national education!" geez... some credibility.. lol... still would have been pretty fun, not to mention maybe some numbers as well
