cape no 7
Thursday. 11.20.08 11:42 pm
caught Cape No 7 yesterday (online)

heard the miracle it did in taiwan box office and intrigued by the reviews from a friend, i stayed up till 2.30am to finish it.

a nice indie film but i think the director can do away the old jap romance and focus more of their characters. they are honest and affecting and have more stories to tell. thank god they done justice to the old white haired post man turn bassist who also prolly steal the whole show.

i shall anticipate the next taiwan flick that will do the same 'damage' on me as
eternal summer. (im practically filled with sadness for a whole week after watching)

coffee 101
Wednesday. 11.19.08 12:19 am
my coffee consumption is in turbo mode now.

i really need real facts to whether coffee is evil or good.

there are so many studies out there some saying coffee prevent cancer while others say coffee actually zap up your body energy even though you are mentally awake.

so i decide to wiki coffee and health and this is what i found out

Benefits
- Reduced risk of Alzheimer's disease
- Reduced risk of gallstone disease
- Reduced risk of Parkinson's disease
- Cognitive performance (increase short term recall and IQ)
- Antidiabetic
- Reduce Caner (yahhhh there see)
- Cardioprotective (reduces the incidence of heart disease)
- Analgesic enhancement (increases the effectiveness of pain killers, especially migraine and headache medications)

Risks
- Gastrointestinal problems (because its acidic, problematic for people suffering from ulcers)
- Laxative (esp drink with an empty stomach. can be good and bad, ppl who have constipation can consider this)
- Cosmetic (staining of teeth and bad breath)
- Anxiety and sleep changes (cause anxiety and irritability (very true) )
- Addicitive (you become a junkie)

they are actually more risks stated but dont think they have strong studies to back it up.

so the conclusion is coffee is good for health!

*off to pantry*

who are we to judge?
Monday. 11.17.08 1:19 pm
who are we to judge?

whats my lecturer fav quote.

i just realized who was sitting in front of me for the past two days lectures.

we always remember the girl after you.

i think i remembered her clearly cuz ive seen her sms and missed calls in his phone and believed she was a friend, not until i see them together in just a month after i broke up with him.

thats was 4 yrs ago. she smile to me today while handing me the attendance. (she dont remember)

its distracting. very distracting.

i thot it only happen in hk drams or on ur bitchy girlfriends.

visual feast november
Thursday. 11.13.08 11:57 am
the 11pm weekday bus is so dead, everyone are like zombies, and sitting through a 4 hrs lecture didnt exactly make me less zombified.

finally my breathing pattern went back to normal. working through my pre-course econ assignment for the past 2 days after and in between work, there are really moments where i think my breath messed up in my lungs refusing to come out.
and this is just a wat 600 - 800 words essay!? i spent 60% time referrencing and citing my sources and only 40% went to real writing.

i miss those early sch days where ctrl C and ctrl V are my two bestfriends.

3 more consecutive days to go. gwen birthday party on sat and kj's on sun.

i need an organizer for next yr already. i want a *cough* purple or sliver moleskin 2009 notebook....or shld i wait for xmas

when its necessary
Monday. 11.3.08 10:18 pm
my popo left for KL last sun : (

been trying to clear off all the to-do-things before my classes start next thur. *sigh* xmas, yr end holis and coming holis will be burned

just gotta remind myself its necessary.

ying gonna get a DSLR this weekend.

DSLR ---> ying ---> G9 ---> me *grins*---> ixus 950 ---> shan

my mom is simply unbelievable

i get ask a number of time for my decision to study.
hmm. i think im someone who have absolute fear of stagnancy? its just sheer terror for me to look back and realize ive been kicking stones at the same spot for the last few yrs. further more ive been procastinating this thingy for yrs.

may it be a new skill, job, relationship, friendship, heartbreak, visiting a new place, experiencing a new culture, discovering a new passion(i personally feel there no greater experience than to travel though) think its important we need to constantly reach out for experiences may it be good or bad. a person pratically stops living if he too comfortable in his comfort zone.

i mean never say never man.

so for me i decide to upgrade myself through studies for now although it cost a freaking BOMB and i need to give up on alot of others things.

pics time.
celebrated another october baby bday last sat.
