ABOUT

Live every day like it's worth a million years.
Find happiness in the smallest things,
like the sunshine, the music, the love.
Always keep your mind wide open to new ideas,
and your heart open to new friendships.
Everyone's got it in them to be the best they can be,
so give your best smile and throw up your peace signs, and thank God for life.

A question that I've never asked myself.

When do people decide to tie the knots? Do people just wake up the next day and suddenly say, "All right. I'm going to get married now!"?

Recently, I just heard the news that two of my friends in the Philippines got married, and they're both younger than me. One of them had been living with her guy for a year now and had been expecting a child, so they didn't get to have a church wedding. The other one, on the other hand, got the church wedding she wanted. They all looked very dazzling in those photos they put up on FB, and it's very obvious that they're very happy with the path they've chosen to take.

Marriage is such a huge decision to make -- one that would change the life you've been having forever.

...And I'm honestly scared to take the leap when that time comes. I'm getting to that age when I have to make those type of decisions, and I think my dad knows. We both know. He's just very reluctant to mention it though.

I've been with my family for a long time that it would feel strange to wake up with a feeling that my life is no longer mine to live.

Awww, you're still young though. You have plenty of time. And why would you think that getting married would mean that your life was no longer your own to live? I think getting married means that you're embarking on a new life with all sorts of exciting things to do that you wouldn't be able to do or appreciate as much if you were on your own. I don't think getting married means giving up your dreams! I guess some guys just expect their wives to follow them around and do whatever they want to do, but it should be more like you're building new dreams together!
