Today I was talking to one of my friends.
I was telling her how I thought one of my old friends still has a resentment/hatred towards me because I tried to tell her that her boyfriend was trying to cheat on her (which he was) and it backfired in my face.

Me: "I just saw her. She seemed nice to my face, but I think she still hates me."
Friend: "Well, do you hate her?"
Me: "No. I don't."
Friend: "Well then you win!"


It makes complete sense to me.

Man. I had something happen like that, both my friend and I tried to tell our respective best friends at the time that my cousin was cheating on one with the other. We even had proof.

Somehow, my friend and I were jealous, even though it's my cousin, and my friend hates his guts.

I stopped talking to the friend(s) and my cousin a few years back, I didn't have time for their crap that they kept trying to drag me into.

Anyway, I haven't made amends with my friend, but it is cordial. My friend's friend is marrying my cousin in about a month. Surprisingly, I was invited.

Yeah... I don't hate them, I just don't care. I've got better stuff to worry about, you know?

Don't get me wrong, I won't turn down a chance to go "lookit how awesome I am!", but I wont' waste my time. I hold grudges for almost ever, and I'm really not all that trusting of the invitation. I'm going to go, though, because I imagine it is part of the... scheme.
