If you think about it.
When the word "brain" comes to mind (heh), I think of someone being asked a question and automatically knowing the answer, without any kind of mental challenge or thought process. Nothing logical, no personal opinion or preference or solution, just a short, straight-forward, simple question, with a short, straight-forward, simple answer.

When I think of the word "mind" it gives me a different kind of feel. A mind seems likes something where you think more.

Actually, no, scratch all of that.

Hrm, brain- part of body or mind?

It's true that "brain" and "mind" may have differing connotations. Being brainy may suggest objectiveness while mindful could follow subjective wisdom.

In my application essay I found it rather difficult to define the lines between the spirit and the mind in a preferable manner. They overlap you know? Definitely a :S face moment.
