The Collegiate Times is funy.

(Yes, funny is misspelled. If you are on campus and have even touched the CT, you know the importance of that.)

So I got this email on Tuesday, asking for a brief interview by email.

Hi all,

I am writing an article for the Collegiate Times about how to protect
your computer, what's the best software to protect it with, and how
computers break, and when you should get a new one. I was wondering
what your thoughts on the topic were and if you had anyone you could
refer me to to help answer my questions. What are the most common
computer problems that residents call you with? If residents do call
you with broken computers, what do you tell them to do? Do you refer
them to the bookstore? What software do you recommend to extend the
life of a computer? Which brands do you frequently see with the most
problems? Also, what exactly do you all do as RCCs? I'm goin to try
and put a plug in for you guys. Can you possibly send me other RCCs
names and if there is anyone who works like, as your boss/supervisor,
can you send me their names too? Please send me any relevant
information that I could include in my article (please also send me
your major and year) - I have to turn it in by Wednesday at 1 pm.
Thanks!

Now, I have no problems with answering questions.

But when your "interview" is a block of text, without formatting? Strike one against professionalism.

I can deal with that, though blocks of text are highly annoying. (Cue end of Hendry voice)

Now, if you were arsed to read the unbroken block of text, you'll notice that in the last... sentence or two, the term "like, as" was used. You know, like, valley girl, you guys?

Yeah, that's... professional.

Good ol' Collegiate Times.

They'd better not misquote me, or anything of similar ilk.
