You guessed it Wednesday. 11.5.08 2:01 am I went to play the piano for about an hour and when I came back, in huge letters sprawled across the front page of MSNBC were the words: It took a few seconds for the shock to leave my system. Whatever my political views, I feel so grateful to have been able to see "history in the making," the words that have come to sum up the last few hours of the night. Only 50 years ago this was the impossible, unimaginable, but the United States has seen that dream come to pass. It's hard not to get caught up in the craze, though. Sometimes I wonder how Barack Obama ever got America so riled up about the promise of change, because it won't happen right away. Like he said, maybe not for a few years, even a term. He can command the podium but can he lead the country? Time will tell I suppose. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Do not try to bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead, try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you will see that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself. 5 Comments. Let's hope that he will make a difference not only because he is who he is. » Nuttz on 2008-11-05 07:14:44 the world's eye is now on him.... » renaye on 2008-11-05 07:49:43 Yeah, he won, but Prop 8 passed, and whatever enthusiasm I might've felt died... » randomjunk on 2008-11-05 04:59:50 I hate him. I was s'posed to be the first black president.. :( He stole my dream. » Dilated on 2008-11-10 04:38:11 I'm 6'1(I think), and I'm completely down with you on hating tall(er) people. I used to hate the basketball team at my school 'cause they were the only people taller than I. » Dilated on 2008-11-11 07:41:01
