I just cant seem to lose weight
Sunday. 3.18.07 12:15 pm
Since I have been sick I have not been eating. That is fine since this "porker" needed to lose weight anyway. It isn't even a diet because I am just not hungry. I cannot breathe therefore I cannot smell or taste what I am eating. I feel hungry and my stomach growls but I just have no interest in food.

I basically eat only once a day. You would think that I lost about 10 pounds by now but I haven't!! I don't get it. After 10 days of eating only one meal a day I have only lost 5 pounds. Yeah, that's it. What is it going to take for me to fricken lose weight??

You could try diet and excersize. Or take up smoking, and skip meals for coffee, or take up a junk habit.

Good luck losing weight! And i hope ya feel better.

I think since you're sick, you should try forcing yourself to eat more til you get better, then you can work on losing weight if you still want to. Right now everything you eat will go towards strengthening your body to fight your sickness, and that's a good thing. Don't want to starve your body when it needs it most. But I should talk, I'm sick and all I've eaten today is two cookies because I'm too sick to make anything else. (plus I'd have to go shopping for something to make). That's why people need mothers, seriously.

Funny you should ask about my ghost, though... I told my story to my roommate about what happened and he said that actually many times he has woken up in the middle of the night for his snacks or whatever and been confused because he thought that somebody was in the shower. When he checks, he sees that the shower is on at full power and it only takes a tiny turn to turn it off. In fact, I'd said that he leaves it dribbling now and then (one of my biggest annoyances with him as my roommate) ...but apparently he doesn't, and having to turn off the shower all the time is one of his pet peeves as well...... But this is definitely the first time the kitchen sink has been on... so maybe the ghost is angry that we aren't giving it enough attention. This house is over 100 years old, after all.

haha, that was a long comment. What was your experience with ghosts?

oh, by the way, for my third comment of the afternoon, I recall that something of this nature happened last semester... I have this ceiling fan that is really loosely connected to the ceiling. Every time you turn it on it wobbles crazily and then almost falls out of the ceiling and plaster falls everywhere. Well last semester I was sitting at my computer (under the fan) and I started hearing this strange noise. I thought it must be coming from a nutang page I'd opened or something but then little white pieces of plaster started snowing on my shoulders and I looked up and the fan had turned on by itself and was wobbling like mad and getting more out of control by the second. I reached up and grabbed the cord and turned it off just in time. I told my landlord to fix it... and he sent a guy... who took the "on" cord away and did nothing to the fan. Which means that I can't turn the fan on and more alarmingly, if the fan turns on, I have no way to turn it off. Dun dun dun! I'd forgotten about that.

i think to lose weight, you shouldn't diet but exercise. :P
Coz afer you diet, you'd just get hungry and then pig out all over again. Then you just wasted your time on the diet thing.

Anihoo on ur comment, u got it wrong. he's in gr 12 but i THOUGHT he wouldn't graduate coz of skipping and blah but i guess i underestimated him. :P

Eventhough you eat a meal a day, sometimes, your extra weight is from the amount of water in your body..

go on a sugarless diet.

my cousin was announced weak digestion system by the doc n so body cant take in much nutrients.thent the doc want him to go on a sugarless diet for 2 weeks.

because practically almost everything has sugar, there r a lot he cant eat.so his weight dropped from skinny to bamboo stick.

I've been jumping rope. I haven't in about two weeks. :/

When I was doing it regularly, the scale was friendly.

Now it doesn't know what it wants to do.

I've gone from 159 to 163 in a matter of minutes, not having done anything at all.

I need to find something to do general muscle work, because jumping rope has taken off about 7 lbs, but I'm still seriously flabby/lumpy. :/

THANK YOU!
Thanks for helping me out there. Good luck on the weight front. Let me tell you what helped me lose 20-30 pounds last year: working my ass off on my thesis last year, strengthening my smoking habit, eating once a day, and ballroom dancing like there's no tomorrow. Yeah, um... I think only one of those things was actually healthy... ;)
