About Art4TheHomeless
Imagine... a movement inspired by the arts to open the eyes of Americans to the plight of their own people. Imagine, through art, music and poetry, we are shining a much needed light on our own crisis: HOMELESSNESS

Art4TheHomeless was once a blog called Colors of Ink with Blogcharm, which closed down. Nutang, became the new home of Colors of Ink and was renamed Art4TheHomeless, by a really good friend, Samantha Medd. She is now the Co-Founder of Art4TH.

Now Art4TH is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Organization that unites artists of all venues to promote homeless awareness in the US.

Art4TH does this through the Art4TH Webzine, a monthly online magazine that features a musician whose music plays throughout the website, a feature artist, and a feature writer while also featuring a homeless relief organization. All artists featured retain their copyrights and all of it is free. If you would like to be a featured artist, musician, or writer contact me at [email protected]

Personal Grants for the Homeless
Saturday. 11.8.08 3:36 pm
I had a hell of a time trying to find this info for a friend of mine, but I finally did it. I found an online Government Grant application where you can receive personal grants. However, you have to have phone and email. If you don't have phone, (which most homeless people do not) there is a way around that. I found a website that will direct free voice mail to email--totally free. If you are homeless and don't have access to the Internet; go to your public library and sign up for the computer lab. It's totally free here in Atlanta and Shreveport, LA. It's a service to every American to have access online through the library computer system.
I have both links and info to the grant and phone services here:

I was reading this thing that said that in order to get an apartment in Switzerland, you need a bank account, but in order to get a bank account, you need a residency card, and in order to get a residency card, you need an apartment!

this is amazing. i don't think the homeless people in malaysia have this kind of privilege. they even have problems in getting food, never mind the internet connection.
